Is it just me or has the amount of "I love the ending but will not provide insight or topic for discussion or anything interesting at all" threads gone nova in the past few hours?

Keep in mind to stay civil, though, even if you feel like being trolled.

You know what argument I hate? The whole: 'It's the journey not the ending!' crap. If only I could apply that to real life... the people to survive the Titanic sinking should have been moar grateful geez! Getting snot and tears all over the ye old time-y lifeboats. Some people I swear!

My fiance actually liked the ending... Until we talked about it for an hour or so. He still likes the whole "technological singularity" idea and insists it works because the Reapers are already hybrid organic/machine creations, but eventually had to admit that the glaring plot holes in the last few minutes (Joker flying away in the Normandy for no reason, crew appearing there after being on Earth, all mass relays being destroyed, etc.) are completely out of place.

So... He still doesn't totally agree with me, but at least he's not like "oh the ending was perfect" anymore. :) I guess that's progress.

Well, there's "singularity" and there's "space magic that makes no sense."

Exactly. I'm still working on proving my point, one small step at a time. :)

If and I mean a big IF Bioware do an extended/alternative ending how is it going to be implemented into the game as the last thing I remember after completing it was the buy dlc notice then I was back in the Normandy with all my crew.

Yeah I haven't seen one person explain what they liked about the ending. If they say they like it, I ask about the plot holes etc and then I am called a whiner and immature :)

Yep, apparently if we dont like the ending then we are not entitled to the game XD

Forbes, Six Reasons Why Changing The Mass Effect 3 Ending Won't Threaten Its 'Artistic Integrity'

getting somewhat bored of some sources trying to protect ME3 as a piece of art.

It is mass produced art. hence the oxymoron. There is no "integrity" to protect in the first place. They are getting paid to achieve maximum profit, if the audicence doesn't like the product they change it. LIke a movie, like a book, tv show w/e.

Is a lot easier to start from the point that the game is... that a game design to be sold in exchange for profit. It is not something the creators did without getting paid, without a patron, and without monetary incentive as a means to portray their idea of art.

The moment you get paid for something you give up most rights to the product.

and the People at Forbes do it again...this just getting amusing seeing the "Artistic Ingerty" agrument shot down..

A marketing designer i.e

Making business cards, letter heads, envelopes, posters, logos w/e overall corporate identity packages.

They pay me, if I make something I really like, hey kudos to me, but my client might say ".... I dont quite feel its right". Well it might be a slap in my face when it comes ot my taste... but thats my job. To produce a product that is both profitable for me and my client likes. I just dont tell him "if you dont like it deal with it" otherwise I will go very very hungry. And I like my pancakes, scramble eggs for breakfast.

Thats the truth, and Bioware has the right to stick to their ending, but in doing so they loose a large portion of their fan base. Whats their artistic integrity worth then, when they no longer make money.. Not much
They wanted to make a special ending but they forgot who they where selling it to, bad business:unsure:

Dude. Go get some sleep, and go to school. ME3 isn't this important, certainly not important as your future.

Mainly because there are so few (comparatively speaking) of the ending protesters since this whole thing began. All the ending hate threads have slowed down considerably as people choose to sit and wait until PAX for an announcement. So the other people are no longer being figuratively shouted down by the sheer mass of oposition they face.

basically, most are just waiting...and always watching, unflinching.

they thrived because we allowed it, and they will submit because we demand it.

Yes, I agree that there are fewer of "our" threads. And to be honest, I don't mind people criticizing the Retake movment by providing argumentation that can be discussed in a civil manner. But what is it with those dozens "I like the ending. Period." threads? Image IPB

King's new clothing kinda thing is what I figure. If you like something but can't explain why then there's certainly something missing. Or just simply put, for whatever reason you just liked it because you liked it. Its rare but it can happen.

So yea. I say if they liked it, good for them, they got their money's worth unlike the other 90 something percent of us
