I missed that?!  Awww..  Uh just the "No official announcements on Apr 1" official announcement from Chris.. few good articles around too, one comparing the ME3 trilogy to a game of LOTR.. good read for anyone who's seen LOTR but not played ME3 to make them understand where we're coming from.

Yeah it's kinda slow tonight, Everyone's out doing stuff or playing Operation Raptor.  I'm too lazy to find my headset though, munching on BBQ chips and watching Tron Legacy in 3D at the moment

I just got back from babysitting seven 3 year old kids and I'm exhausted.
I also can't play any games ever since ME3 ending...
They all remind me of how awesome the ending could have been but wasn't...

It's not my fault they wouldn't listen to me when I asked them nicely to be quiet... And shouting is a proven method to getting peoples attention~! :innocent: I'm a perfect little angel~!
Speaking of chips, I found Pizza flavored Pringles while out shopping, and bought a tube of them, its been forever since I've had them... Playing ME1 as an Adept to take my mind off of the end of ME3, waiting for PAX, and eating Pringles~!

Does this "later in April" mean we won't get anything during PAX...? Or is April 6 considered "later in April" in their vocab? 

I know, right? I was just glad I didn't get the 1 year old ones...or the 7 year old kids, who liked running around.

I think I can honestly say that 7 three year olds terrifies me more than the possibilty that Bioware doesn't fix the endings...

I hope you told them the fairy tale of the "Little Sheppard That Could"

Oh, yeah, because telling a little kid about space sex, killing aliens, blowing up stuff (and people), and driving people into suicide is a great idea...oh wait. Granpa told that story to the little kid. I should have told those 3 year old children about it. Space Magic  FTW!

Good article, don't agree completely with the points... I feel Bioware just got sloppy and rushed for time to push out the game before the Electronic Arts Mar 31 Fiscal Year End.  Not chose to go with this ending as their prime choice... all of that is evidenced by the stock images and exact same end cutscenes.

Good article though, glad to see a designer who can discuss this without their head inflating to epic proportions and them screaming "ART MURDERERS!"

Chris Priestly said nothing you see on April 1st is true.  No official announcements on April Fools haha.
...you know besides "Giant Alien Reaper lands in London, thousands dead"... but that was expected.

Oh yeah there was also a statement from Evil Chris saying that anything that claims to be from BioWare on April 1st, isn't from them~!

After watching some videos on YouTube and generally getting into the good "yay it's Friday" mood, I decided I'd been away from the Xbox long enough. So I switched it on and put the original Mass Effect in. Couldn't remember where I was with my last character (it's been several months since I played and I can't always remember how I was doing things, if that makes sense), so I started a whole new FemShep.

It was actually a lot of fun. I was excited to see Anderson as the Captain of the Normandy, and even enjoyed the banter with Nihlus about the Spectres and Eden Prime. I was running around on the ground, shooting geth drones, happy to see Ash again (I'm a die-hard Shenko fan so she rarely makes it off Virmire even though I really do like her character - kills me every time I have to leave her behind), and enjoying the whole thing.

Then I ran into that scientist in the bunker.

"Humanity is at the brink of destruction, there is nothing left but the blackness of oblivion, there's no hope left, the geth are the heralds of the darkness that will destroy us all..."

I just saved the game and turned it off after clocking him one in the head. It made me feel a little better, even though it wasn't really his fault.

Still, I can't believe that ending left such a sour taste that it's pretty much ruined the rest of the games now, too. I thought for sure I'd be able to play the first one and just not think about it, but no. How can fifteen minutes of utterly illogical space magic ruin a hundred plus hours of gameplay?

So, back on the line I go.

hahaha yeah.  I've heard like bits here and there at work too.. it's kinda scary being part of something like this and no one realizing who else is involved but seemingly everyone knows at least ONE person who dislikes the ending.

Yeah, but it's a good kind of scary. It shows we're spreading, and it also screams loud and clear that we are NOT the "vocal minority".
