What got me laughing was the game features...

Game features

The game is still very early in development, but here is a list of things we hope to include:

• Hard science fiction.
• Lots of engineering.
• Fully working computer system.
• Space battles against the AI or other players.
• A game ending that makes sense.
  
• Abandoned ships full of loot.
• Waist high walls.
• Seamlessly landing on planets.
• Advanced economy system.
• Mining, trading, and looting.

they have all penned a brand new motto "dont do a capcom! AND "dont do a bioware" OR "they did a bioware on this one"

That is straight genius. I personally liked the ac2 but that could just be my bias, best game ever in my opinion. It also proves that you can bring an ending straight out of left field if you do it right.

Well there could be good reasons for that;

According to some places the review copies of the game sent out had the whole 'God-Child' part removed (or, at least it wasn't in those copies). So no doubt a couple of reviewers are feeling rather angry at having defended what for them was an incompleate game. It is also possible that some of them suspect that the whole thing was a marketing/PR stunt. Either way they may well be feeling that Bioware has been playing them.

It has probably dawned on some of the brighter sites that the complants have been coming from a far larger (ie, some 90%) number of players than they initially thought. They might have started to realise that these same people are their customers as well as Biowares...and insulting your customers is not good for business.

It might also be that they have looked again at what the 'Bioware defenders' have been saying, then at what retake has been saying...and suddently realised that the 'whiny entitled vocal minority' is acting in a mature and reasonable way. While the defenders have been acting as...a 'whiny entitled vocal minority'. The upshot is that I would not be surprised if the credibility of many review sites has been called into question simply because they have been seen to be either acting or supporting rather childish behavour.

I honestly don't understand the need to insult us. We're expressing an opinion and requesting that Bioware release additional endings. We aren't asking for anything that would harm anyone, we're not being rude or insulting, and we're acting like the mature adults we are. And we're abused for it. It just strikes me as being very petty and juvenile to attack us.

I call it the 'Cult of the Developer'.

Basically games developers, certainly in large companies or those who've had a couple of well received games over the years, end up being viewed as infalible. In the worst cases they end up buying into their own hype. 
It is, however, the reviewers who have this unfortunate habit to proscribe to the 'Cult' and become its 'priests'. Anyone who questions the ability of their Gods 'shall be struck down by rightious fury, childish insults and mindless verbal assualts!'

My advice is to ignore them. There is no honour or satisfaction in engaging in a battle of wits and logic with those who are clearly unarmed....

As bad as it is, it's one of the first videos that attempts to flat out insult us directly, though. Quite the accomplishment for us.

OK! I've been playing again. I'm all paragon and about to hit the cerberus base. I will not be playing the ending. But I have to say after playing again (more completely), I am convinced that Bioware could not in their right minds have made the ending (yes singular) and leave it at that. This would be akin to Leonardo da Vinci taking a massive dump on the Mona Lisa after he was finished painting. The indoc theory made more sense as I played again. I eagerly await what's coming next from Bioware.

Or am I just in denial?

Ever hear of RoosterTeeth, the creators of RvB? Mega64 is like a dumber version of that studio that produces short, live-action, slightly gaming related vids.

I'm starting to see a new trend here too now.  It's like the political scandals that are investigated and you start peeling back the layers of the onion.

The Wall Street Journal didn't review the same copy of Mass Effect 3 as we bought.

I really do suspect that, as more and more publications realize THEY were spoon-fed the game reviews, that we'll see more and more backlash.

Guess it goes to show that Honesty is still the best policy.  I'm so so happy to see other companies now redirecting focus to ensure that they don't ruin their games/reputations, I'm happy to see that what was becoming a waterfall of rarely accurate miracle-cure advertising from ALL the publishers is now drying up and legitimate professional marketing of features is taking over.

I've noticed the main gaming publications have mainly gotten silent now as well.  Rather than bad mouth major advertisers they're just holding their tongue which tells me they're upset and it will show in the future.  The only people calling us whiners now are the amateur journalists and student journalists who are trying to show their 'professional skill' to their colleagues in the industry.. sadly they don't realize that their colleagues are all just as upset as the rest of us, but can't talk about it due to their publications' commercial interests.

Food for thought there.
