Or it could be about that battle that made Shepard a hero...oh wait. That would be Shepard's story...

I stand by the opinion that the ending ought to have been changed on the basis of that song alone. It deserved to be associated with something better.

I think if they made a Prequel it would be First Contact... though how you'd get a whole game out of that I've got no clue...

Shepard's story needs to end in 3 and if they were to touch base ,imo, on the First Contect war make it someone thats was a part of it. I almost think that Capt. Anderson should be the main character in that.
*edit*
@RussianOrc
That would be awesome and they could show Seran before indoct, TIM, Anderson, and Hackett

Too late. Replaying ME3 for all the accomplishments and, while listening to the hopeful squadmates talking about what they'll do after the Reapers are defeated, I just shake my head and say to myself 'Don't you know you're all dead anyway?'
But I like that track. 'An End Once and For All' is one of the best on the soundtrack and haunts me every time I hear it. Luckily, I bought the Collector's Edition, downloaded the soundtrack, and put it on my phone so I can listen to it anytime. I highly recommend 'I'm Proud of You' and 'Leaving Earth' as well. Those two are great, too, and just as haunting.

Then I will never play another video game again. As to where the extra time I have goes... I heard panhandling is lucritive.

I don't know either...I mean, they could start all the way back from when they first realized aliens were real, and then have some battles, a twist here, other there...show Shepard being born...I think this would be cool (IF Bioware fixes the ending)
@Lord Costantino
No. That would mean I would have to play as Anderson. No no no. I like to make my own characters (reason why Bioware is awesome) and pick the character's gender

masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_Effect:_Evolution Origins of TIM and Cerberus, with the First Contact War being the cataly- ah, bad word, I mean the event that kicks it all off. Haven't read it, but it doesn't seem like it focuses on the First Contact War for too long. Unfortunately, the Codex entry on the FCW coupled with info on Turian tactics used during the invasion doesn't leave much room to make a satisfying game (hint: hard to fight orbital bombardments). It's a shame; the FCW seemed like a perfect prequel setting before the Turian tactics were explained.

Oh, I know. I meant...they could show the inside of it. For example, people might think the war happened a certain way, but that wasn't really true, so they make us play what really happened. Maybe there was a hero that no one recognized...
Honestly, if the prequel isn't about that, I can't really see what else they could make it about that would be exciting.
