Now that I think of it there were lots of strange little things I picked up on throughout the game, one that stood out was on my liara romanced shep, why would she say just friends and then I have to say I want to be more than just friends after LoTSB happened, what happened to my prothean orb, and this is a joke but who's bright idea was it to go through shep's cabin and hide all my ship models and release space hamster lol

A friend of mine brought up the same Liara thing. It actually happens twice in ME3, first when she asks if Shep is still interested in "them", and then on the Citadel when Shep basically says "I wanna be more than friends", which almost seems like a proposal. However, in between that Liara's mom calls you her girlfriend.

Thing is I'm not 100% sure that was sloppy coding/writing/whatever. It's easy to forget how far Liara's come in such a short time, sure she might seem all badass Shadow Broker, but she was struggling with that persona in ME2, and while she's gotten tougher since then and into ME3, she still has a lot of hero worship for Shepard. Maybe the repeated need for declaration of Shep's affection just indicates that Liara is insecure about their relationship.

Anyway, that's what I'm telling myself. It's like the Indoctrination Theory of the Liara romance.

Nah, I'm almost certain it's just to avoid having to program relationship confrontations like those in the other games. Liara's dad called me her girlfriend for during the first act, but after I slept with Traynor, Liara herself just started calling me a "friend". There's no ultimatum like there's supposed to be. They just never programmed it. That last, seemingly pointless friend convo one on the citadel is to lock her relationship in, which can only be done if you hadn't cheated on her already. It's very lame.

That made me remember, her dad called my shep liara's boyfriend on my tali romance run(main playthrough) I was...... confused lol

Admiral Anderson. It is noted that Anderson had been intending to use the Normandy as his command ship - which is why the command centre was built. No doubt he had Shepards belongings put into storage in the Normandy, thinking that they might go 'missing' otherwise. Plus he would be holding out hope that Shepard would eventually return to duty and the Normandy, so his/her belongings would by right there when that happened.

The orb was Prothean, and as such the Alliance would be legally obligated to hand it over to the Council...or at the very least would have taken it to a research facility.

Shepards helmet would technically belong to the Alliance, so they would be well within their rights to take it back. It's also possible that it ended up in the Normandy's armoury, since few people working on the ship would know that there was anything interesting or important about it. It's just an N7 helmet, why shouldn't it be placed in the armoury with the others?

As to the picture...maybe it was in his/her house on Earth prior to the invasion.

Another point, very minor but it would have been nice to be able to revisit our house that we get for completing Pinnacle Station, now the Reapers control it and the resale value will be 0.

I don't know, the resale value depends imo on the fact which reaper troops control it. I guess you could do a killing provided there are right reapers there.

"So, about your house... run over by reapers I hear?"
"Yeah, sucks, though I never did like the view that much"
"...what kind of reapers?"
"What? Ummm, cannibals and husks I guess"
"So, no Banshees? At all? ....you want to sell that place?"

True, Banshees and Brutes would make terrible neighbours. It could always appeal to hunters or those who go clay shooting as a hobby - just with undead Reaper controlled minions instead?

That, and husks and cannibals hardly make any noise. And that's a big plus, never having to wake up to your neighbours screaming.

Oh, well that is lame, especially for those of us who'd already been loyal throughout two games, having to lock in like that again, without as much as acknowledgement of being faithful for her the entire time, is pretty terrible.

True, it would definitely help the kids sleep better at night. They'd be a drag around the holidays though.

 We've been told there was a cut line where Kelly Chambers told you she tried to collect your space hamster when she took your fish but he escaped and she couldn't catch him, and was still worried about him. Still doesn't make sense of who wanted to make Shepard play treasure hunt with his/her own belongings though. :P

OK ... checking out for the night. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether job-hunting or being on these forums is more soul-sucking. See you all later, keep the thread alive, etc. etc.

It is, yeah. Yesterday I loaded way back to the save before Shepard slept with Traynor. I avoided that and then went to the citadel and then had that same lock in convo... Then I realized something. This is the fourth time since the first game I had to tell her this. Once aboard the Shadow Brokers ship after we beat him. Immediately after when she comes to see you on the Normandy. Again at the beginning of Mass Effect 3 when you re-recruite her. And then again with the scene on the citadel... 4 Freakin times. How insecure is she that she needs to be told that many times? lol.

They did a pretty horrible job implementing the relationship aspects into this game (for all the LI's). The bare minimum level of effort seemed to be put in, in that regard.

(S)He was under house arrest at the start of the game, and had been living in those quarters for several weeks at least. A picture is the sort of thing that (s)he would be permitted to take along as a personal posession.

As far as the helmet/LI picture, it's quite possible that the Alliance would let Shepard get his things from the Normandy before they completely sealed off the ship from him. It's also quite possible that, seeing how the reapers' attack was a complete surprise, he never got the chance to retrieve them from his temporary housing on earth, which could explain the absence of them on the ship.

I personally think Bioware just got lazy or forgot and didn't believe many people would notice something seemingly that insignificant.

Actually s/he was under house arrest in the brig... Says so on the wall when you leave the room where Shep first sees the child.

I figured that they were probably in the middle of refitting the Normandy when Shep went back on duty but I don't recall it getting specifically mentioned. It was a bit depressing to return to it and find my nice clean ship looking half-complete, with missing panels and cables trailing everywhere (not to mentioned never finding out what had been put in where the armoury was).

A thought just struck me - what if Blizzard knows something we don't? (and yes, I'm aware it's April 1st).
