I figured that they were probably in the middle of refitting the Normandy when Shep went back on duty but I don't recall it getting specifically mentioned. It was a bit depressing to return to it and find my nice clean ship looking half-complete, with missing panels and cables trailing everywhere (not to mentioned never finding out what had been put in where the armoury was).Major Swift wrote...
Ahhh yes, I remember that bit with Anderson wanting to make it his command ship now, thank you lol, makes a bit of sense now, would also fit his character as he's always looking out for shep/got his back
Edit: makes sense for the orb, models, and perhaps helmet my shep was a spacer so he didn't have a house lol
The armoury was taken out to fit space magic reserve tanks
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

If you look on the map there's quite a lot of unused space there. The comm room only occupies a small part of it.Phoenix NL wrote...

It will be unlocked in future DLC and contains the button to kill the Reapers once and for all. The answer was in the Normandy all along! (but due to time and budget constraints this can only be provided at a later date once you have purchased all other ME games/books/DLC/clothing)Reorte wrote...

A better ending would be the reapers catching the common cold and dieing
Or uploading tic-tac-toe to the reapers to show there is no way to win

Someone suggested donating the Reapers to charity, as per the "fourth option" BW took with the cupcakes.

It is mentioned at least three times that the Normandy's crew consists of those people who were overseeing the final stages of the ships refit. Joker notes this, stating that they 'volenteered' to sign up. Kelly MK2 notes that she was meant onboard to oversee the fitting of equipment, rather than answering your mail. And your armoury officer is working both as procurement officer and shuttle pilot because he was the most experienced person on the ship in those roles, so stepped in to fill them.
Of course it isn't explained why the Normandy didn't get additional crewmembers when they arrived at the Citadel. You'd think that Hacket would have authourised Shepard to draft any Alliance personal who where on leave there to raise the Normandy's crew closer to its full complement....

Because retake is regarded as a 'power' in the gaming industry, and as such accepting the cakes could have been taken as accepting a bribe by a group with a specific agenda.
As I've said several times, we should take the donation as having been made in the exact same spirit we donated to Child's Play and give Bioware a break.

Ye, I don't really care, as long as they did not throw them away, and it went to deserving people.
