I think Weekes did too haha.  It's pretty much 300% confirmed fake at this point, that and it came from 4chan.. which is like a -30 authenticity right there.

From what I could gather, yes it is. But, this could be Weekes trying to save himself and his fellow writers from fan rage. But with the drastic change the ending was in comparison to the rest of the game, I beleive it.

Mass Effect film? So they were serious about that as well? If that write-up about Casey Hudon is true, that he and the "lead" (who I assume is Mac Walters) didn't need any peer review on the ending, I'm just floored. I really am......

Go back about 100 pages lol.  This was discussed back then, we had twitters from Chris Priestly and Patrick Weekes both saying it was false.. it was also released on 4chan... it's as false as false can get lol.

The thing is, even if that article is false, I can't imagine that the ending was looked over by more than 2 people and that entire group of people said "yea, this is how we're gonna do it". There's NO WAY. Just NO WAY 5 people could have read that ending and approved it. So while that write up is probably fake, it wouldn't surprise me if a pair of writers arrogance got in the way at the end, we got this clusterfck of an ending.

the me3 page with all those flash thingys, you have to pile through a ton of images and i found one where shepard is in ilium with javik and james.

seems theres hints for the dlc in there, various pictures in locations thats not been in me3 but has me3 charators.

It's not fake.  It was DENIED.  There is a BIG difference.  And as I said in one of the other forums, it was the weakest denial I have ever heard in my life.  It even made that Shaggy song "it wasn't me" seem like a more plausible denial.

There is other, very stong, evidence out there in addition to the original post which pretty much confirms the post was legit and not someone hacking his account and trying to post as him.  I don't want to talk more about it because talking about this runs a high risk of having the thread locked.  PM me if you want some additional details which weren't very easy to dig up, but in my opinion they provide a lot stronger evidence to saying the posting was real and it got out of hand from what he thought it would than it was someone putting a fake post on his account.

Yes, Legendary Pictures* picked up the rights to make a film based on the first game. As far as I can tell it is in the very early stages of pre-production and they have yet to cast any actors. Or put another way it is not so far along they would loose money by putting the film on hold.

There is also a low budget Mass Effect 'prequel' film out, that is set around the discovery of the Protean ruins on Mars. The star is someone you might not know on sight, but you know him - Its Mark Meer...aka the voice of Commander Shepard.

(*In case that means nothing, Legendary Pictures is the studio that brought us the recent Batman films)
