I wonder if they're going to have Prozac to hand for the mass depression they'll cause if all we hear is "let us clarify why our endings are amazing".

That's not sad. What's sad is me explaining to my translations professor how texts from truly formal registers, such as public corporate statements, tend to get translated in to Finnish as more polite and formal than they are in English, some of the time even deliberately. I took as an example some of the statements from Bioware and their translations, basically doing an analysis on them. 

Ok, the sad part comes now:
The teacher is interested, really is, asking me for what course was this excersize. I answer, no, no course.
Teacher: ...so, you did this on... your free time? ....

That little silence at the end was rather sad. 

Ok, someone give me something on-topic now, I'm the great corrupted Justicar who doesn't even need biotics to derail this thread

I've always loved languages and seeing how they impact the culture but also what meaning gets lost in translation..... oh god I'm boring lol

after 10 days of studying for my exams and FINALLY finishing all of them... can anyone tell me what has happend in the last 10 days regarding the ending? I had not the time to follow the cause (if I opened the forum I would have stayed for hours and had "forgotten" to learn) . That would be nice. Thanks.

No I hadn't seen that one yet, thanks for posting! I think it would be even more depressing if this ending had been the goal from the beginning! It is nicer reading the dutch articles, they aren't spending all their time calling us names like the english ones are.
