Lol, I know what you mean. Haven't posted in this thread since, ohh idk, page 11XX or something, but been reading most of the way. It's gotten to the point where we've all debated and speculated about just about EVERYTHING ad nauseum. This lack of news is killing me.

I know! I always wonder, what if Bioware ignores this problem or makes us feel like idiots by explaining the "complex and deep" ending? Will I have to abandon Bioware and Mass Effect? How will future Downloadable Content sell when in the game, everybody is either dead or horribly screwed? This is driving me nuts!

A new analogy as to how the ending of ME3 feels;

It is like listening to a wonderful symphony, then five minutes before the end someone with explosive diarrhoea appears on stage out of nowhere. They walk to the centre of the stage, turn around. Drop their pants, bend over and let rip.

When you complain the conductor tells you that was artistic integrity at work, but if you really want they will be happy to 'clarify' the ending for another $10....

Will do, and me either, my rewrite is my first foray into the realm of fanfiction,if it turns out to be pretty good then it will definitely not be the last, I just felt I had to do this, take the sting off of what we currently have for an ending , i also find its been rather soothing writing it, helps me forget and imagine a good ending

you know the longer time goes by the thing I am beginning to hate about the ending the most (and mind you I hate every aspect of the ending) is the Normandy scene at the end. 1) it has the plothole of how the squadmates on the ground got on the Normandy 2) it basically has Joker both committing Treason and being a coward by fleeing the battle (all the while abandoning Shepard (thanks for returning the favor Joker) 3) everyone who gets out of the Normandy is smiling (once again Earth and Shepard says thank you)

Yeah, it was yesterday. He actually said "So what if the major planets were destroyed?". He kind of brushed aside all the plot holes I pointed out. First we are on opposite ends of the political spectrum, now this. lol

I actually found the whole post funny but dear god, the island happened people.  It wasn't limbo.  Well, the sidways flashes were but the actual stuff on the island happened.  And for the record, Lindelof did tweet that he had nothing to do with this ending so we can't blame him for

He was talking about the third game. He said he figured if he can control the Reapers, that you can rebuild the mass relays. I referred him to some videos, but he said he didn't want to watch them.

To be fair, he is a very casual fan, only played each game once. Doesn't know the lore nearly as well as us here.
