But Chris Priestly put a photo up of him holding all of the notes in response to someone asking whether Bioware had just thrown them out? Or am I missing something?Fox544 wrote...

Yeah that part I get but if you read the part about all the letters they recieved with the cup cakes they basically said they trashed em.

I haven't seen that picture. I'm just going off of the press release that said something along the lines of since we don't feel the feedback was honoring the work we will not be passing it on to the team. Gotta find the release again for the exact quote.
Edit- Where is Mr Connery and his wall of links?

I have three of them, and use them depending on my mood when I need one. I don't think I have a split person...
shhh... we haven't told her about the other four of us, don't go spreading it around
...ality, I like to think I'm fairly stable. Now where did I put my glasses.
I intend to get another cane, as soon as I can find another place that sells them, one that I like and also can afford.
And *sighs* once again someone thinks I'm female...I give in. I'll go buy a dress tomorrow.
Err, she's referring to herself, not you. Her other four personalities are telling you not to tell her about them. (And now its no longer funny since I had to explain it. Kinda like the endings.)

So April, what do you guys think is going to happen?
Pondering on what will happen is as pointless as teaching a Vorcha abstinence education.
Just go play another video game for a while and check in from time to time. Currently I'm playing Amalur while waiting for Diablo III.
On that thought...Witcher 2 is releasing an enhanced (ie Fixed with more content) game April 17th. Now if they wanted to release an Enhanced edition of ME3 as a DLC with fixed ending and a lot of additional content, I would buy that. But that is also a bit borderline since it could be seen as encouraging companies to release functional skeletons of the game and charge us for the primary organs.
The difference is, for those who already have the game on the PC, they're giving the enhanced stuffs for free...
CD Projeck did the exact same thing with the original Witcher. They went away for a few months, then came back with an enchanced edition with more quests ect. Then they gave it away free for those who already had registed versions of the game.
Now that's what game companies should do. No one would ever mind an enhanced edition coming out if the people who already paid for the game get all the new stuff.
It's the same concept as free DLC. Nobody dislikes free stuff for their games.
If Javik was free Day One DLC like Zaeed, no one would have complained about it. If they gave us good free ending DLC, all of us would be happy...

Here it is,
"The gesture certainly gained our attention both with its creativity
and deliciousness. However, while we do appreciate that fans were
creative in how they expressed their views, after a lot of discussion,
we decided ultimately the reason that they were sent was not done in the
context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team. "

Quite, RD Projeck is a small company but one that is winning a considerable amount of respect both for its games, and for the way it treats its customers. Their 'Platinum edition' of the Witcher even contained the offical guide book. Personally I never managed to get into the Witcher, but the value for money alone means I don't regret buying it.
As an aside, and back on the topic of ME3. The other day someone asked what Bioware could do to say 'sorry' to their customers beyond a new ending. The first thing that sprang to my mind was to make 'From Ashes' a free DLC for registered owners. With those who'd already bought it or received it in the collectors edition being refunded the Bioware points the DLC had cost.
I pointed out that this would remove the complaints about the day one DLC - which have been pushed to the side by the ending issue. As well as maybe convincing more people to go back and play the game or buy it. Those who already had it would be able to use the BW points on another DLC later on - or pick up DLC for another BW game.
Come to think of it, I wonder why companies don't offer reward points for new releases rather than 'free' DLC? It would allow the Development team to concentrate on the main game rather than having to split their attention between DLC and main-game. It would also give customers the option of getting DLC for other games from that company, rather than forcing them to have just one they may not be happy with.

This. We know the force is strong in this studio.
After all, we DON'T want to dislike the end. But when I read this and think of the last 5 minutes, there's something that simply doesn't add up.
We know they're capable of writing amazing powerful game-scenes. They've proven it time and time again.
Why this monumental slipup at the very end?
It's still mindboggling. Despite having played through it two times now.

Agreed.
In fairness to Bioware I can accept such ideas having to be dropped from the game due to limited time. In fact I seem to recall someone noting that the battle-scenes at the end had to be contracted out to a third party.
Which is just another sad thing. Instead of really finishing the game, it feels rushed. Gotta hand it to Blizzard, before they even think of releasing a game that feels not finished, they delay the release and to some more bug fixing and tweaking. And even after release, they constantly balance their games.
The ressources for Multiplayer should've been used for Singleplayer.
