This. We know the force is strong in this studio.
After all, we DON'T want to dislike the end. But when I read this and think of the last 5 minutes, there's something that simply doesn't add up.
We know they're capable of writing amazing powerful game-scenes. They've proven it time and time again.
Why this monumental slipup at the very end?
It's still mindboggling. Despite having played through it two times now.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Umm, guys?? Has anyone else noticed that many of the critical to mass effect 3 videos on you tube have been removed??? You open them up and it says video not available..
I find this troubling, and a bit upsetting at the implications this could mean.
Which videos do you mean?
All of the ones I have tagged are still there, just ran through them to look. I doubt I have all of them tagged but like I said, all the ones I know of are still there.

I agree. It's so baffling to me, I don't understand how it's possible. I think that's why I have this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that they have something up their sleeve even though I tell myself there's no evidence to support it.

That's the quote that so obviously states that they appreciate the creativity, but are aware that they weren't sent in because the fans liked the ending.

Yeah, the writers all goofed. There's no ifs ands or buts about it. Still, I don't think I've lost respect for the people who worked so hard on the trilogy.
Odd that the one whos' input started the whole trilogy left though. That puzzles me to no end.

Now that's what game companies should do. No one would ever mind an enhanced edition coming out if the people who already paid for the game get all the new stuff.
It's the same concept as free DLC. Nobody dislikes free stuff for their games.
If Javik was free Day One DLC like Zaeed, no one would have complained about it. If they gave us good free ending DLC, all of us would be happy...
Quite, RD Projeck is a small company but one that is winning a considerable amount of respect both for its games, and for the way it treats its customers. Their 'Platinum edition' of the Witcher even contained the offical guide book. Personally I never managed to get into the Witcher, but the value for money alone means I don't regret buying it.
As an aside, and back on the topic of ME3. The other day someone asked what Bioware could do to say 'sorry' to their customers beyond a new ending. The first thing that sprang to my mind was to make 'From Ashes' a free DLC for registered owners. With those who'd already bought it or received it in the collectors edition being refunded the Bioware points the DLC had cost.
I pointed out that this would remove the complaints about the day one DLC - which have been pushed to the side by the ending issue. As well as maybe convincing more people to go back and play the game or buy it. Those who already had it would be able to use the BW points on another DLC later on - or pick up DLC for another BW game.
Come to think of it, I wonder why companies don't offer reward points for new releases rather than 'free' DLC? It would allow the Development team to concentrate on the main game rather than having to split their attention between DLC and main-game. It would also give customers the option of getting DLC for other games from that company, rather than forcing them to have just one they may not be happy with.
After hearing how they treat their customers, I plan to buy the Witcher 2 for the Xbox as soon as I find work...

I don't think you understood what I meant.
I know he wasn't the only one, but he is the lead writer aka the head of the group. Pretty sure everything anyone else wrote had to go through him. But not everything he wrote went through the rest of the group.
When there were 2 people on the same position, it was like having 2 bosses who shared their work and worked together. Once that became only one person, there was only one person "checking" the work of everyone else, and he held the responsibility all by himself.

Unfortunately, that can also be evidence that all the writers simultaneously fell on their heads as they were writing the ending. And the producers too I guess.
But, seriously... yeah, I guess the terribleness could be evidence of a good ending being hidden away. Every other reason I've come up with has been equally ridiculous.

And, well, it's tv series loosely based on all kinds of fairytales, so good guys will win for sure, and will get the endings they want. So watching it is kinda uplifting for me
Also, Raphael Sbarge's voice always sends shivers down my spine, since almost a decade ago, when I fell in love with Carth Onasi

No. no-no-no-no-no-no-no. It's not enjoyable. Well, it is, but no. Don't let them confuse you. This teary story dictates that all this **** with RGB ending and holoboy was for real. It may become a part of true ending, but not right now when crew turned their backs on Shepard and cowardly ran away while we colored the whole galaxy with relay explosions. No. Don't let this teary **** indoctrinate you. Watch your sectors, and hold the line, soldiers!
