Yup, they donated them all to charity though.  I would have at least taken like 3 or 4.. they kinda used it as a protest of our protest... but we forgive them.. they're under a lot of stress this month.

Starbrat tells us they have to uplift/destroy organics to prevent them creating synthetics that will eventually turn on organics.
Thought, the reapers are speculated to be the most powerful synthetic force in the galaxy, in the end we beat them by whatever choice we make, wait, wait, something is not quite right, we beat the most powerful synthetic force in the galaxy but we cannot deal with a synthetic uprising of our own making, good grief, must...stop...thinking.

Doesn't matter.  She apologized.  It's not like some of us haven't said stuff in the heat of the moment and withdrew it.  I, for one, accept the apology and hold no ill will towards her, she was excellent in the game, and no one here hates her.

It seems they wrote themselves into a circle.

where is that image of the host from "pimp my ride" making reference to the absurdity of an Ai making synthetics to destroy us to save us from making synthetics that will destroy us. it summed it up succinctly with as much sense as the ending gave us.

And I loved it in the video I spoke of earlier that they tried to introduce us to a new being, that controlled the reapers and held our existence in it's grasp,  with a total of 14 lines of dialog.

 Dear game developers and reviewers please stop considering games art first and entertainment second. Games are entertainment first, art second or maybe seventh and yes if as a game company you promise various things don't be shocked when your consumers are upset when you dont follow through with those promises. Also if you do want to get into the art business how bout you make 1 copy of the game and sell it and see if you can turn a profit. In summation games are entertainment not pretentious art BioWare GameSpot IGN.com please pay attention and stop making me hate you

Almost 10 years for me. I'll pick up DVD's and more usually box-sets, but watch them on the PC...although watching Babylon 5's entire run in a single week does do very strange things to you - such as thinking the 747 flying overhead was a Whitestar and a jukebox in a shop was a Vorlon...

I really do not have any issue with Jessica Chobot. In the heat of the moment she said something she should not have. Happens to most of us. I'm just glad that she proved to be better than a certain other person at IGN (will not name this individual). She saw what was wrong in her statement and amended it. The thing that is annoying is how she just took the most extreme members of the movement (ones we do not tolerate here), and painted with a very wide brush. This is a dangerous thing to do in general.

I am completely with her being against the nasty individuals who have attacked her, and others in uncivil ways. I don't care what side these people are on, if you viciously attack people, and call them names, we do not want anything to do with you.

Finally, I can imagine being in her place a bit. Imagine you are a tremendous fan of a game developer, raved about them for years. Then, a dream comes true, you get to be in the game. Then, a small minority of people attack you for it while being angry about the end. I honestly do not blame her for being angry at first. I would have been as well. Especially if I didn't see the horrible ending yet.

And we all know how that ends up!....But yeah, I can see what you mean, although now that I am going back home for Easter I have to try and explain to my bro exactly what all this fuss is about. Just thought I'd share some thoughts that resulted from a disscussion with friends on the whole "Games are Art" idea.

A lot of points where thrown around but we ultimatley came to the conclusion that games in themselves are products that utilise artistic media (graphics, stroytelling ect.) for entertainment. Not sure how relevant this is but just felt like sharing.

Only 3 days till PAX. Hold the Line.

One can consider art something that transcendce something and becomes something more. Something better.
Mass effect is a puece entertsinemnt and axdamned good one.
who says which rule book that you can't change it ...tinker it...asxart it doesn't diminish one bit.
BETHOVEN rewrote his symphonies by listening to audience feedback. , Michelangelo hated the cestine ceiling first half and wNted to change it.couldn't so painted the second half bigger.
if we talking art it has been adapted or changed since begning ofctime.

Anybody who doesn't get it I feel sorry forcthem.
Films have bee changed for years. Etc..music pieces.
So changing thus ending dosnt dimininsh bioware. It actually enshrined them that they listen to customer feedback.
Its good business.

anyone else enjoying the Marauder shields comic series? I started to read it expecting it to juts be a parody and while it is, it also is actually entertaining to the point of wanting to see what happens next in it...

So she apologizies for  1 post while there where weeks  and days worth of articles written  doing the same thing.   

Its almost like they are marching her out to us be scarifical  lamb while the  real culprits, progenerators of the vitol  towards us at IGN hide in the background... 

That makes me sick
