Hi, I normally read the 'nth pages I have to catch up, but after seeing one of the thread here, I just got impatient:
http://social.biowar.../index/10935247
It's some newspaper in (Mexico? I think) stating from some higher ups in EA that it is confirmed that they are NOT changing the ending, but just clarifying it. Appologise if this has been posted before. I just FTL post it in here out of sheer dissapointment -.-'
Thoughts?
Ps: sorry can't link it, I'm using my phone atm.. >.<
They said that all new announcements would be stated at PAX...so I don't think I would trust a Mexican Newspaper atm
Agreed, it makes no sense, why say you'll be giving a statement at PAX, yet come out and say this now, only days away from PAX, where they're likely to get more coverage, and why did it appear in only a Mexican newspaper? I smell lies... <_<

I'm a moderate type person, but right now I'm not feeling very moderate, so I can guess the more shall we say "passionate" fans will be readying their pitch forks and torches, and if it's "confirmed" to be only a clarification of the ending, then I'd suggest any Bioware folk do not turn up at PAX, because clarification is assmuning the player "did not get it"; in other words we must be stupid....."composes self"; *coughs* remember who you are James dear fellow.Nharia1 wrote...

Well, the OP of that thread gave a snap shot of the newspaper (it's in spanish) and it's dated on the 2nd April. As to BW making an announcement regarding this ending debacle, I -think- (I could be wrong. Memory is a bit wonkey) they said they will say something around april (without specific date, could be before or after PAX)
[Edit: but as to why they would say such things in just 4 days prior to PAX, have no idea. a slip up maybe?]
I really am curious, what will happen later on the 6th April.
Sorry for being panic, since this time it was someone from EA that made such statement and not from BW. And if EA has made that decision, then that's pretty much it.
God oh God, please let me be WRONG in this one >.<
Edit: blarghh, grammar check. sorry if my post doesn't make much sense. My mind is still in the repair shop atm..

Think about the situation for a sec. If BioWare, or EA puts off annoucning anything at PAX, they are pretty much screwed as far as getting much future support, so its in their best interests to actually tell us something at PAX and not after.

That is correct. He appeared in Retribution doing some work for TIM.
Can't really go into detail because it's been quite a while since I read the novel.
You can read up on him though if you want to.

And that Native Americans dream really needs to be fleshed out in fan art. Could there be a DeLorean involved ?

That's a thing they should have thought about. It's fine for the people who have read the books and understand who Grayson is and what Kai Leng's story is but I didn't read the books so these names / characters have no meaning for me. I have no point of reference for them within the ME universe.Atrocity wrote...

This might have been mentioned already or maybe not - I don't understand all the people saying things like "Plzzz don't change the endings!!!!!!". I've been following the @masseffect twitter page for a while now and every now and then another of these posts pop up and it really frustrates me - in fact the closest thing I can relate this to is Cerberus in ME3. We're all trying hard to do something we feel is for the best, and for no apparent reason they can jusitify they keep trying to prevent that.
I'm happy for them if they like and enjoy the ending, that's great, good for them!
I don't - so why oh why do people keep trying to prevent any changes to the ending?
Could someone, anyone please just explain to these people that if Bioware do create a piece of DLC to change, partly alter or even expand the endings, then being in the nature of DLC - It's optional! You wouldn't have to download it, or even pay for it. So that way you can have your ending and we could have ours. So what is the problem!?
From what I could gather, some think we want the endings to be implemented in a way where if they play again it would be altered. This isn't what we want but they aren't even trying to look and see it. Still even if it is optional some feel these shouldn't exist alongside their endings and we should suck it up and try to appreciate the art behind them.
How selfish is that? So if they were downloaded by choice only, it's still ruining their experience. I can assume that means just the thought of there being other endings ruins their story because they exist. Even if they have no intention of playing the fact that they exist annoys them.
I could be wrong though, but that's what I gathered.

I haven't read any of the novels, I only know about Leng through some fanfiction. And is just another sad thing. I think to clearly understand Kai Leng and his ties to Cerberus you need to read the novels. I don't like novels being mandatory, they should be optional.
I also agree that Kai Leng was your typical Anime Ninja. There was nothing original to him unlike Thane. Thane didn't need to use a sword, he had his fists, handguns and sniper rifles. He also didn't strike such ridicoulous poses like Leng when he recharges shields.*sigh*
