Huh so what you're trying to say is another 30+ hours just for the battle of earth............. i'd buy that! with proper endings!

That is kind of what I was thinking, yeah. For the last game, it just seems a lot shorter than the other two. My mom and I were talking about Harry Potter and the last book being split into two movies, and she was all, "well maybe that's what they did with that game you were talking about."

I kind of doubt it, but... If that was the route they took, I'd be in for sure.

It did feel a lot shorter to me too...

This is what I was saying many pages ago - Mass Effect 3: Part 2. That would be the best thing ever (as long as the endings are good). I want to destroy the Reapers in the Sol system and then go take back the worlds of all our friends and allies!

Ah, I figured someone had mentioned it. :) It would make sense in a weird sort of way. (Keep your saves, tweets like "if you knew what we were planning" and all this about "not changing the ending" - could be because it's not over yet.)

Again, the cynic in me doubts it, but it would be really cool if it ended up working out that way.

I think the question was clear enough so they don't need to say "closure dlc" but you have a point there.

*snipped my side of the argument*

Maybe I didn't read carfully enough :P
But I thing at the moment BW is on a losing money trip.
They can make
A) simply free ending DLC = Losing money
B) a paid DLC = Trust = Losing mone on longterms
ether way they will lose money only depents on how and how much. If the had made it right in the first place

When I said BioWare could gain $$$ I meant in the immediate short-term: $ from selling game + $ from paid DLC (as listed in snipped idea) = recooped losses in production + some pocket change. That is a net profit if I remember my econ class right. As for long-term, explaining the whole plan at the start and asking for support would increase consumer trust. Remember, if a product/franchise is no longer profitable it is very unlikely to be expanded upon.

Same problem here. Every couple of days, I sign out and close my Internet browser, vow not to check BSN or anything for a while so I can get back some semblance of my life.

Next morning, where am I? Glued to the computer, holding the line with all you fine folks. :)

The waiting/wondering is killing me, but I can't stand the idea that I might miss something while I'm off doing other stuff like homework and sleeping.

The wait is killing me.

I just beat ME3 for the second time, and I have no desire to play any other game, and I really don't want to start another playthrough yet.

Not necessarily dying. Perhaps just being severly hurt. I would not want the story to end with Shep dead.

Just saying...

Tbh just from that image you could have that as a still slowly moving out with voice overs talking etc fade to black and then have what ever ending you would get from all the choice's war assest etc and maybe use the in-game graphics and create the endings.

They did that for ME2 where you could go from everyone alive to everyone very dead! So why couldn't they do it for ME3?

Wow this thread is moving fast.

I remember like, a week after the game came out, we were already at 700-800 pages in this thread. Then 4 or 5 days later, 1100 pages, now we're at 2763. Amazing.

This had crossed my mind, but I find it a little too much to hope for, for one thing it now becomes a major undertaking to transfer all decision variables to the second part, how many were transferred from ME2, something like 3000?, for each iteration that numbers grows almost exponentially unless they deliberately block decisions.

What are the "little hints"?

There have been some ambiguous tweets from the MassEffect account and someone has found the foliage images from the normandy crash scene listed under "dream" in the files.

Weirdly I'm listening to Florence and the Machine - Cosmic Love at the moment, seems somewhat appropriate?

Is it possible that this foliage was used in Shep's dreams? He was running in some forest so are we positive that the "dream" refers to normandy crash site?

Taking the planets back would be nice. They hyped up being able to visit the homeworlds of other races, and in ME3, we barely saw the homeworlds at all.

We barely saw Earth, didn't even see Palaven, except from space, we saw 1 facility on Sur'Kesh, a little bit of Tuchanka and Rannoch. Hardly any of Thessia. Then just a little bit more of Earth.

Now that would of been the ending i would off wanted! shep dying in LI's arms.

Make that a femshep in Liara's arms and you have a winner!  While I would not complain if my Shepard were to live (I really would prefer her to retire with Liara and enjoy some peace for once), dying the arms of the woman you love after having saved the galaxy is one hell of a way to go!

No there was a post of the image a couple of pages back and it's not the foliage from the dreams.
