They have reserve funding, any business that does not is playing with fire, I once thought the same as you, but I cannot in all good conscious support something that may set a precedent in the gaming industry "How did the story end?, pay $? to find out!"Fox544 wrote...
I would go pre-order those now then lol. It won't be free and I'm 100% sure on that. Actors, programmers, CGI, sound tech, story writers, will all need to be paid.
Can we really ask the programmers and voice actors to work for free just because the Exec Producer and Head Writer made some bad decissions? Look for it being in the $5 to $10 dollar range. Depending how much they have to do. If they make it a full expansion then $10 but if they just do new cut scenes then $5.

1; The voice cast were already scheduled to record new stuff - although they didn't know exactly what - sometime ago.
2; Bioware staff will get paid regardless of what they happen to be working on.
In other words no one would be asked to work for free.
If they charge for it, that will simply reinforce the image of a company who cares only about ripping their customers off at every chance. Coupled with the day one DLC issue, which WILL end up being dragged back into the light, their reputation for a customer friendly company will be gone along with a significant chunk of their customer base.
Sure, that DLC *might* sell well *IF* it is decent...but they will find sales of all subsequent DLC AND games will suffer.

It all depends. If it'll pay for itself in the long run then it might possibly happen. Would it be worth it in additional non-related DLC sales, for example? Money pressure might be our best hope.Fox544 wrote...
Also they wouldn't just be paying for an expansion. We've already hurt the ME3 bottum line. Asking it for free is like stabbing someone for saying something you didn't like and then demanding an apology and their wallet.

Speaking of CD projekt, I've got my copy of witcher 2 pre ordered, should be a fun game to play if things go south here with Bioware and ME3, I'm still optimistic thoughfirstarioch wrote...

If this ending stays than me and bioware are over.
there are other game manufacturers who listen and value their fanbase ( I.e .CD project) and I will when player Is respected ascpayimg customer.
Hope you go bust Bioware .
I was thinking indirect money pressure that doesn't even need anyone to say anything. Any accusation of entitlement simply because people don't want to buy something from someone any more is ridiculous (not that that stops some of those who are having a go at us). It's exactly the same as companies giving away freebies or cheap sales in the hope that it leads to further profitable sales.Fox544 wrote...

True but we've already pressured them for money but cutting their entire first month sales. Also keep in mind we are continually fighting the "entitled" stereotype. Demanding everything be free says entitlement to me but saying you're willing to hand over an extra $5 for an alternative seems reasonable.

people are talking as tho it has been confirmed that Bioware is not doing anything about the ending at all. is this true? are they really going to let themselves loose a Fuc* tun of fans and allow what should be the gratest gaming achevment in the las 10 years become know as that game with the sh**y ending that drove away it's own fanbase?
