EA won! Hold The Line!

Dunno how I feel about this.

I see what the article says, trying to not demean those who voted for the result of their poll, or the validity of the manner in which they chose to run it (open online polls), but really...

BOA has DESTROYEED lives. EA may go as far as to destroy the little part of lives that we do look forward to and enjoy, but BOA's responsibility and importance to its customers is FAR greater than that of EA.

This makes me sad.

That's true, I feel the same way. Bank of America, and it's fellow banksters have bought Governments, crashed the global economy, made huge profits off intentionally crashing the economy, got the Governemnt to bail them out, and destroyed millions and millions of lives in the process.

EA pales in comparison to this by an unthinkable margine.

I agree.  As much as EA sucks, BOA takes the cake every time.  Destroyer of lives. There is no redemption of BOA.

I think the difference is that everyone knows BoA is horrible.

I mean I'm not even a homeowner, I've never dealt with them, yet even I know how horrid they are...

On the other hand, not as many people know about the junk that EA does.

*trys to think of another good question to ask*
Why would the starchild willingly provide Shepard with the means to break a cycle that starchild thinks is an absolute necessity?

The starchild said you making it that far means his solution is no longer viable. Some BS like that. I have accepted that it is just impossible to make logic out of something that is completely illogical.

i know, but what im trying to say is why tell shepard anything at all? its solution would have worked at least this time around because shepard wouldn't have known what to do otherwise

Hold the line don't get distracted. They will use any excuse to shut us down.So don't give them one.I think the ending is a drug induced mess.I went 3-5 years without buying a EA game I can do better if the RPGs die.

But surely if SC wanted its "solution" to continue to work why did it bother to bring shepard to the "End of Everything" room.

What make Shepard so special that him/her being there invalidates the solution. Part of the whole attraction of Mass Effect (for me at least) was that Shepard wasn't some hyper super powered "Chosen One" (S)He was just a soldier albeit a damm good one but a bog standard soldier all the same.

Er...to get to the other side?

Seriously though, it doesn't make much sense when you look at it.  If I were in the "starchild's" supposed seat of power, I would be doing everything I could to deny Shepard even the possiblility of stopping the cycle.  Rather than to take a gamble on which choice Shepard would make, I would try to convince him to do nothing at all; in every scenario the Reapers are either destroyed or leave, in which the remaining civilizations are still left more advanced than they would have been otherwise, leading to a greater possiblility of a "singularity event" occuring in the future without the Reapers to prevent it (which again, couldn't the Reapers just attack Synthetics, there by preserving organics anyway?).

The green ending can't even be explained logically, and the control ending is confusing as well (if I'm dead, how am I controlling the Reapers?  Through an uploaded consciousness, or was it simply a trick of the starchild to kill Shepard when it didn't personally have the means to do so?)

Everything requires a healthy dose of Image IPB.

Exactly, regardless of choice there would be a greater chance for a "singularity event" to occur which is what starchild is suppose to prevent so it just goes against all the other bs starchild has spewed at you literally moments before
(i exclude green choice because to me it is the most horrible of options and like you said it cant be explained logically)

What gets me is there were a lot of "neat" little bits throughout the game.Tali and her "Emergency induction device",Ash and the "two million credits",the uniforms getting charred in the explosion.I really wanted the dog to DO something, after DA I was hoping Shepard would have a faithful companion like the mabaris were, not to be.So many little gems and a few near misses.

exactly my point .phenomenal writing ...JM straczysnki felt his franchise in his bones understood public love and the whole arc of the story.
It is a satisfying conlcusion .Even Sheridan hhas only 20 years left before elder races will come for him for his monumental achievememnt we accepted  it. Ending was AMAZING!!!
Him leaving Delen and going ....heartwrenching but aweinspring !!!
Why couldnt we have something satisfying here ?

Dont tell us we dont get It !!!

In FACT WE di get it !!! more than you Bioware seems like it...

Just a small hint, if you guys want to log in for PAX just in time for the Mass effect part, but have spare time, id suggest logging in an hour and a half early :), 3pm, Bioware will also be discussing Dragon age, and there might drop a few hints for Mass Effect. For good order, the Mass Effect part starts at 4.30pm EDT.
