“… part of what you’re trying to do is save the universe so you can live in it. That’s part of the promise, I think, for any great IP. It has to be a world worth saving… I think Mass Effect has that quality to it. If you get rid of the Reapers and win that, wouldn’t it be amazing to just live on the Citadel or just take a ship to Omega? That makes sense.”

It's from May last year, but it gives you an idea of how far they moved from this in the end.

well, i did a ton of fetch quests, found a reaper off button, and i didn't win :P
lol so yea it does show what you said

The one that bothered me most was the last one. Seems a far cry from "Lots of speculation for everyone".

Wow. This is no longer simple marketing, or exaggerating. They have been outright lieing.

the motto of ME3 is
"TAKE BACK EARTH"

one slight problem,

how can you take it back when you've basicly destroyed it

the crysis franchise is almost dead
the mass effect franchise is now tarnished by the BAD news coverage

every other franchise EA has is now worthless as they shove it down ppl's throats by releasing the same game every 10 months and in some cases 4 times in a year (need for speed had 4 games from december 2010 - october 2011)

so yeah EA totally ruin everything

I didn't know that about need for speed, damn, thats just overkill compared to a "new" COD game every year

OK So we didn't fetch a Turian Primarch, we didn't fetch Krogan aid for the Turians, we didn't fetch the Krogan female, we didn't fetch the Genophage cure? I could go on but the list is really long. I'm sorry, I have nothing against fetch quests, kind of used to them from playing RPGs and MMOs for so long, but WHAT? Everything was a fetch quest in ME 3.

I am so confused /sigh

EA won! Hold The Line!

Never underestimate irrate gamers ^_^

Update, I just read the second article and got a serious laugh!

"Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But
this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow,
though in the end it's still the same old Poo."

They are listening to us

Ah, sweet justice.

I have gleaned from context that the Consumerist article has made it here. But just...

"Oh well, Worst Company In America 2012 is officially in the books. All that's left to do is send off the Golden Poo to EA.

Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow, though in the end it's still the same old Poo."

Bahahahaha!

This brings up another aspect of the marketing I didn't like. All the marketing was about Earth, Earth, Earth. Really the game and the story is about the entire Galaxy, not just Earth. I guess it's just more evidence of them trying to appeal to the COD crowd.

These missions at least involved fighting. A large number of quests that raise war resources are fetch quests and nothing more; scan the area, launch probe, return item. Boring and mindless, with only Reaper chases to break up the monotony. And by "break up the monotony" I mean "add any sense of risk or daring" and "make the entire process take 10 times longer than it should."

But hey, you can always just promote a ton of guys in multiplayer, right? I'd say that's the one thing that was actually innovative, the one thing we wanted. Multiplayer is basically extracting war resources from the skulls of your enemies. Grindy and repetitive, but not nearly as boring as gathering resources in the past.

“We’re sure that bank presidents, oil, tobacco and weapons companies are
all relieved they weren’t on the list this year," EA said in a

award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people

Oh so depressing, just saw an ad for ME3 on tv. Why didn't we have those awesome Normandy fight cinematics in the game?? Ah well one of the many things I ask myself about the ending.

yes its so fricking funny i just died laughing (i'm not being sarcastic btw)

EA as a publisher cant fix shiznit but Bank of america is at least fixing there shiznit now (i'm in the uk so i'm going by reports)

also on a side note to everyone, EA's asset worth dropped about $100 million in a month and every day so far there stock prices have dropped since the RETAKE ME3 was started ( they drop between 0.20% - 3.7% daily)

Seriously? I don't think that they understand that they're mostly on the list because their customer service is the worst, not because what they produce is the worst...oh wait, what they buy and re-sell

Ok, I'm done :P
