Out of curiosity: Anyone know who will be popping up at PAX prior to or after EA/Bioware? I have a strong feeling that we can judge our success on who is going to show up first.

Remember: there are two things that will win us this: Numbers, and Peer Pressure. If Bethesda shows up with the intention of showcasing DLC, then I'm sure that EA will buckle under peer pressure, as I assure you, other companies are watching us VERY closely, waiting to take us under their wing, promise "we'll never do that to you, now let's leave the evil company alone", and shower us with "we did what they didn't because you are our beloved fanbase!". Other companies will definitely take this prime opportunity to gain more customers should everything go pear-shaped for EA. It's business, and if any company sees the chance to gain several hundred more people, they'll do it in a heartbeat.

Well in the same "theater" it's Bioware and Dragon Age that's on before ME ... after hmmmImage IPB Schedule is here:

I am more than willing to switch over if they make amazing games

(if the news on Friday is bad, of course...and there is always a possibility that they won't give us any real news on Friday....)

This just means that they haven't reached the recording/actually making things part of the development. I mean, first they need to write out everything and maybe they haven't finished that yet. Maybe. :?

They better get Hale for new ending (assuming they are making one and have not yet made one). She's one of the best VAs around. And the only right Shep for me. AND she made it possible for me to think Bulletstorm and ME happening in the same universe. She's a god.

Realistically, even if they are working 24x7 on new endings, I would not expect a finished product for months (unless this planned all along and they already have some of the groundwork done).  I know EA is not exactly top dog when it comes to QA testing their code, but I assume they at least follow some semblence of an SDLC for their products and these things take time, especially in a corporate structure.

Ahm, there is no way they are making a new ending without her. That would mean my FemShep would be mute. That's not happening.

Just watched the anime "Gantz".
Ending: everyone who matters dies. Protagonist seems to be alive but we don't get to know that. Nothing at all gets explained.

Meh.

Indeed, I like male and femshep equally so I have a certain amount of playthroughs that I was going to do set up for both of them (the end still makes everything not matter so I havent played campaign since i beat it). though i do enjoy listening to Hale as shep more.

That article means we cant stop holding the line until it is 100% confirmed we are getting a new or additional endings to our current "ending"

I doubt that real endings weren't planned all along. Maybe they needed some "incentive" to see the light, but I guess they were pretty much done.

Perhaps, if the "endings" we got were enough for the customers (can't see how anyone thought that, but...), they didn't need to finish what they had. But if necessary, I'm pretty sure they had a backup.

It doesn't make any of this good. But I don't think it will take many months more. Just like the "day-one dlc".

lol not at all, and im not sure exactly why i like it a lot, i think its the theme that seems to be in every episode that no matter how bad things may get something good will come of it in the end that i like the idea of, theres enough misery and unhappiness/unpleasant endings in the world as it is (ME3 added to them unfortunately) so anything to make things seem better is a plus

That might be it. I don't like happy endings too much as a rule. And yes, I know SW has one too, but in my version, Empire wins. Personally I believe they would've won during return of the Jedi, had they had a certain grand admiral on board...
I'm something of an Empire fan girl, always have been too. I tend to shun the protagonist and naturally feel drawn to the villainous side, so me siding with Shepard in MEs is something of a rarity. Then again, ME universe doesn't have precisely 'sexy' antagonists, does it? (no Giger, your opinion does not count!) :P

Agreed, considering the sheer size of the Imperial fleet compared to the Rebels, even with the Death Star lost and the Executor destroyed, it takes a lot of suspension of disbelief to see the Rebel Fleet winning at Endor. But, OT Star Wars is awesome so I can overlook a few details, besides, sometimes you just need to have your good ending.

I always thought the Empire was awesome, the Emperor was such a great character, one of my favorite villains.

Well, you know, I thought this anime is quite old, so it's okay.
Didn't know you are watching it.

I guess it's ok...I talk about DA here all the time too...
I'll forget I read that :P

I used to watch when I was younger, but never got to finish it. The Live Action came out last year, so I thought about finish watching it, but now that I know the ending, I might not even bother.
Kind of like Evangelion.

Are we talking about the Chairman or CEO? I googled them. On their website, they have them in avatar version too. It's cute. :P

I just reallized, that I never had a playthough with a femshep (what a shame!!!).
I'd like to make a badass renegage FemShep. But I can't push myself doing this because I know how my journey "ends".

That's so sad...

I'm with you, they should have. Actually the fact Empire is ever conserned about the Rebel Alliance befuddles me. A huge, efficiently trained military vs rebels, riff-raff and random rogues (even if some of the older military personnel did join them).

I think Zahn's explanation about the Force mind control-thingy during Thrawn-trilogy is frankly stupid, but hey, he gave me Mitth'raw'nuruodo and any character modelled after Friedrich Der Große is an instant win, so he gets away with it.

They made the entire game in 18 months, and it's got like 20 hours of dialog and is the equivalent of like 6 or 7 feature length films.. I think they could do quite a bit with 200ish staff in like a month even working a normal crunch schedule. Image IPB

Do not worry; I have never played a BroShep. Not planning on playing one either. Even if I played one, it would have to be Sheploo, because that's the only image I have of BroShep. :P
