An article about how EA used child's play to promote Battlefield DLC. So basically it was allowed to promote a third-party cause while Retake Mass Effect was not.

I know that we were using it as a form of protest and EA was not, but it is still a third party cause, and that is exactly why our charity was shut down.

You make a good point....but that would make nearly 60,000 of their own fans equally as stupid and I just don't buy that.

That was actually a somewhat clever response. They deflected by pointing out the various Mega unpopular corps in some shady industries such as tobacco. It sorta highlights the absurdity of them winning the award. Yeah they may or may not be one of the worst things in the gaming industry, but I don't think most people would honestly consider them worse than some of the corporations mentioned, some of whom have arguably killed or ruined the lives if tens of thousands. They also tried to come off snarky and joking about it. So I'd say well played on their part. Doesn't mean they don't suck.

Yeah. They're pretty pompous. They essentially minimized their own importance in light of all these other "big bad companies" out there. "We just make award-winning videogames for over 300 million people worldwide...what's wrong with that?" God forbid in this day and age people take any sort of accountability for their actions in a relative sense, instead we got the response of a five year old: "well they are badder than me!" I can safey say that following the conclusion of the present situation I will need to be as prudent about my entertainment purchases as I am my gas and groceries. How freaking depressing.

Ikr...I would propably buy it as my last purchase to Bioware but hey I get my ending and I am gone  unless DA3 is a gift from God....which I dont see happening but still always hope...but I want those glasses!!! I would look BA in my suits with that on! 

It probably wouldn't be my last purchase, but I'm not pre-ordering DA3. I'll wait and see If we get another "Retake DA3" movement or something...

Yep, precisely. If it was just a handful of us then they could easily go "shoo" but since there is so many of us, they can't treat us like neanderthal's without repercussions to their buisness. I mean lets say that they do not fix this ending, they will lose at least 60,000 fans...I mean I'm sure they will still have loads of fans but still losing 60,000 isn't a dribble in a bucket.

Yes, it was clever. But there's such a thing as being too clever for your own good. The power of sarcasm is a lot weaker than the power of association. People will remember his having associated EA with those companies long after they've forgotten why.

Give us multiple endings. If Shepard dies in most, I'm okay with that. I never really expected him to survive after all that happened. Give us an option where we completely fail to destroy the Reapers, other options like the ones we got, and options where we can actually destroy the Reapers and not doom most organic life.

I hand't seen that yet. Thanks for the link. It is indeed a great finding, and the questions raised by the article are interesting enough. It seems that we as "gamers" just don't have enough pull to do a fund raising drive as EA does, and yet we managed nearly 80k under a week when EA didn't manage 10k.

For what is worth, I just glad I could help out the kids with my little donation, and honestly, right now I am not even expecting anything at all from EA/Bioware. I am still here for one reason only, I strongly believe we deserve an explanation and an apology. If I get that, I will be happy enough, eventhough I will never play ME again, and most likely never buy from EA/Bioware again..

But life moves on, and we've got to keep moving. On the other hand I probably should be thanking EA/Bioware for their mistake. If they hadn't messes it up as badly as they did, I would have kept playing the game, instead of going out and meeting my new girlfriend, so, Thanks Bioware, at least some good came out of your "artistic" endings..
