That's why I took my examples from inside the MP, not comparing SP and MP, since I am well aware they are handled by different dev teams.blacqout wrote...
I should have said story-related DLC. Weapons and costumes require relatively little time or resources to create, and as far as i'm aware, a seperate team is working on the game's multiplayer.
If some people are arguing for more maps to be created and you would prefer new classes added, why wouldn't you make your thoughts known? Too irrelevant and obvious, i suppose.
Story-related DLC typically appeals to those that, you know, liked the game's story. If BioWare decide to spend a lot of time and money creating a new ending, it will take away from what i want. And yes, i have every reason to make my thoughts heard.
And I am not making fuzz about what I want, merely saying it once or twice when I feel it to be necessary, since I believe game companies and devs make content according to what fans want and what sells. In the case of the ending of SP, there are at least ~ 50k-60k people who would like to see new content for it. That is a big number of fans making their request compared to the regular, normal number of people posting on feedback and suggestion threads and such. So there clearly is a want for this specific content. Will it be away from people who do not share this want? Maybe, maybe not, nothing quarantees people who do not want new ending would be getting something they want even if those resources were not used for the ending.
So while I respect your opinion and want for other story-related DLC, I do still question your intellectual honesty with this specific topic, since I do not believe you would be protesting if Bioware stated they are making Overlord 2 DLC, or any other story-related DLC than one concerning the ending, even if you wouldn't like the DLC's theme and story. I could be dead wrong of course, since obviously I know nothing about you good sir.
Well, Casey Hudson has said once or twice that there will be additional post-release content. Say BioWare planned to release three big mission add-ons, like they did with ME2. If one of those is spent on a new ending, then that's one less extra mission for me to enjoy.
I have no real preference over what themes should be explored or what any additional content should be about, other than it shouldn't just rehash something we've already experienced in the game. I'd rather the resources be spent creating something totally new.
I appreciate that there are some minor problems with the ending, but i was able to overcome them myself with a little extrapolation. I don't need or want BioWare to fill in the blanks i've already filled in myself.
