I guess they were expecting us to go "herp derp hey they're smiling so it must be the happy ending." Never mind the education they already gave us on Turian and Quarian dietary requirements. What the hell were they thinking?Pr3ying M4nt15 360 wrote...

Thank you.
I'm still trying to understand how they could possibly think we would feel happy and rewarded with those endings.
Yeah that's the part I'm struggling to understand. Apparently Mac Walters has a very different idea of what satisfying and rewarding is to what we do. Call me old fashioned but I'd have been fine with a reasonably happy Bioware ending with varying degrees of success based on your choices. Too much time invested in the story for it to end like this.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Also, fear not! When you choose a perfect Destroy, AND leave behind your favorite crew member, you get to survive and have headcanon space beer with Admiral Garrus in blowed-upped London!
Truly a victory for the forces of justice!

fixed. Also destruction of all synthetics. This is what the optimal 5000 GaW choice is. enjoy

Molyneux is only a master of hype.
Fable is overrated by several orders of magnitude.
ME1 was more entertaining than all three Fable games combined..

yeah it's ironic that most players after seeing this ending if they even want to play the trilogy again. Will go through getting people humanly killed so they never have to suffer this end. So in the end Shepard will just have practically no one except a few crew and a faceless galaxy. Be a lot easier to pick the merge ending then.
I won't be able to replay the series for a really long time to be honest. I'll do it once because I at least want to experience it for the sake of playing the trilogy but if I ever play it again, I'm tempted to kill off everybody or have evreybody not join the crew. They really left a bitter taste and I haven't even played the game. I doubt it it would change my mind though~
Same here. I really thought Bioware was going to give everyone a satisfying ending. A conclusion. I thought choice would be put first at the end, that the player would be put first so that everyone could have the ending they wanted.
I don't really see this as a conclusion, I see this as misery, punishment, I see this as unanswered questions and plotholes as to how the galaxy survives, how the normandy survives.
Agreed. I don't see how any of these endings left everything answered. I know I'm gonna have abunch of question regarding the Normandy and Shepard. They majorly screwed us over. At this point I don't even know if it was intentional or not.

Bioware: Hey guys we won't be able to make some people happy, so lets not make anyone happy!
This actually falls in line with my earlier remarks regarding reducing the squad's dialogue to Zaeed levels.
"Hey, rather than elevate everyone's dialogue options, let's just drag them all down to the same level!"
Yeah this is probably one of the things that's bugging me the most. I thought we were supposed to have fewer squadmates with deeper relationships in this game. From dialogue leaks it seems like we're getting... something else entirely. Whatever, I can't romance who I wanted to, that's cool and I'm over it. But the fact that it seems like I can't even have a decent friendship path with them kinda pisses me off.

My point is they must have a very morbid sense of joy at bioware if this is the 'happy/optimal ending' they've been toting. Considering the circumstances, I think Shep would actually prefer to be dead

Indeed. I spent countless hours trying to create the "perfect" playthrough, hoping for a relatively happy ending. I still wanted sad endings, mind you. But this feels like a punishment more than anything else.
I loved the endings of DA:O. You had a bittersweet element no matter what choice you made, but I did not feel like it was a slap in the face, like here.
Sorry if I make mistakes, Frenchie here.
Didn't see any mistakes, England here and I'm always making typos
Yeah I did the same.. I recently replayed from ME1 up to the end of ME2 with all the DLC for an ideal Shepard for my first playthrough of ME3. I feel a bit stupid for wasting my time now lol.
I had other characters with a different mix of choices and was excited to see how it would affect their war assets and which endings I'd have to settle on.
All that has gone in the toilet now :/
I agree with you on DA:O, I honestly think just a few small variations and the ability to save the Normandy crew so they at least crash on earth would have been a big improvement. Losing both galactic civilisation and the Normandy crew is a bit hard on the player in my opinion, it's like there is no reward for the sacrifice made.

Destroy is defiantly the "Selfish Shepard" he lives and kills the Normandy crew plus it kills the Geth and EDI.
The other endings see shepard vaporized or turned into a guardian.
Is there an ending where Shep dies, Normandy gets destroyed/dies but Earth and most of the galaxy is mostly ok? That right there, sadly is my pefect ending.
