oh, by the way, if anyone's interested: nearly cracked the 200€ mark with the marauder shields/never forget t-shirt sales. just saw it this morning. that's around.. hmm.. 260$ :D
i know.. not 'that' much, but considering that 20% of every t-shirt is only around 2-4€ i think it's pretty nice. :)
and as a reminder, i'll be donating the money on the 11th of april. (same day i'll take the shirts down.) maybe by then we even have a 'we held the line' shirt. :>

I'm waiting for my marauder shields t-shirt to come in Image IPB

oh, you got on? :D yaaay. i hope you'll like it :3
still have to get my own though..

ahh.. the facebook group is full of win today

You made your point clear that you like the end. I am fine with that but just accept that I am not fine with the ending. If you fear new content for ME3 in danger than look at DA2 there is not much faninterest so the latest DLC was canceled. If Bioware does not listen to their customers than the interest will drop for ME3 early so no DLC for you too.

If you don't see that, then I am realy sorry.

Mr Bond do you not think all of this could have been avoided if Bioware had released an official statement stating one way or the other rather than leaving ppl hanging on for wks till PAX?

If I were Bioware given the volatility of the current situation, I'd keep my mouth shut until I had something to say, any and all little hints through tweets and facebook have been pounced on and dissected every which way and mostly with bad reaction, PAX is a public venue, they better have something good to say because there's going to be a lot of folk watching.

Back from an extended lurk. Was just watching The Gruen Transfer, a show on advertising and they were discussing when Dominos Pizza owned up to making bad pizzas as part of a new advertising campaign. Made me realise it is possible for BW to fess up and turn things into a positive. We have seen it before in gaming, which seems to me a good sign.

Seems a good topic for discussion, and a blatant, if clumsy attempt by me to help get us back on topic.

That might actually work, if they go about it the right way... But then again it might completely backfire on them make them look so bad that they start to loose even more fans, and end up just being let go by EA after they are no longer a source of income to them.

Why you a nobody as you dont have the guts to do something...
We do...

I would never be so crass as to use my private chariteable donations (of which there are many) to publicise my appreciation of a video game. That move was, i'm sad to say, rather tacky on the Retakers part. Clever and effective, but tacky.

Do you really claim credit for the fact that the Retake movement was given minor attention by the BBC and Daily Telegraph? How big is your role within the Retake movement? The guys and girls that dreamt it up and organised things like the Charity donation deserve some aplomb... but the majority of Retakers did nothing but change their forum signature.

I'm using BioWare's message board to voice my opinion on a BioWare product. I'm unsure how that makes me a coward. Perhaps you could use your masterful grasp of language to explain it to me?

Epic show down with Harby mean while  EDI marches up to the Starchild hacks in  and dumps all her , thoughts  feelings and memories on the him to forcefully showing him and disproveing him before shutting him down.
EDI would have been perfect for that role -   Shepard never got anywhere with out his or her team, It was the team that took down Saren and the team that  took down the collectors.  Why change it at the  ending.
It  should have been the Team  taking down Harby and the  Catalyst.

I like that idea, I'd not considered EDI, I guess it's because I lost legion after he uploaded himself to the geth consesus, and EDI would certainly be at risk connecting to the catalyst, while she has some reaper code, would it be enough to protect her from the catalyst hacking in defense, even taking over the reaper code she carries.

That and she is complete antithesis of  the Catalyst  ideals she through out her whole story arc - not only  sought to understand orginics, she reprogrammed herself to give her own life up because  she was so disgusted by what the Reapers  were. She also feel in love  or grew extremely close the Joker.   Even with the risk she would do it because  she despise the  Reapers and what they are that much.

I have...and as one Krogan Warlord would say (and I might be misquoting) "I will give my enemies the worst insult they could get: to be ignored"

Really, I'm not all that concerned about one's guys opinion as much as someone else is to mine.  Still we can't lose our minds over such trivial things!  There's only one day left before an answer is announced.  I can understand why people are really tensed atm.

What's worse for me, there's an event a my college where two tickets to PAX are being offered tonight if contestents win a Halo Tournament tonight.  I feel bad for those poor souls who'll win those tickets and go to PAX only to see, what could be, an angry mobImage IPB

I don't envy them one bit.

I am making myself heard.

Now BioWare can look at this thread and see that actually, not everyone dislikes the ending. They'll also note that the one person expressing a fondness of the ending has, in the face of overwhelming unpleasentness, remained calm and respectfull... and probably be happy that the nicer members of the community enjoyed their product, while a majority of the less nice ones didn't.

To be fair, you are not the sole polite voice in this thread. And as you stated, while the rude people do not ambody the retake movement as a whole, neither do you embody the people outside retake movement. As one comment already said, you are you, I am me, let's leave it at that.

I can't help but to nocite you are ignoring some of the polite messages, mine included. Surely just a matter of limited resources of human attention, but sometimes girl likes to get some attention, if you get my dirft ;)

I do still feel your cause could be better executed via some other medium, such as contacting Bioware, starting your own topic, maybe a facebook group.

I didn't respond to your previous few comments because you made it clear you wished me to leave. I was happy with the resolution of our discourse, and decided to partially respect your wishes by taking up no more of your time.

You'll find that all but two of my posts in this thread have been direct replies to other people. I'm just speaking when spoken to.

The show did mention it was tricky, that the admission must both appear genuine and, more importantly be followed up by action. Dominos got kudos for admitting the issue, but Im not sure how much they improved their pizzas.

Hmm, Bioware is let go by EA, makes old school rpgs, is this a problem?:)

I've got to say, if this is indeed Bioware's master plan, then it's certainly working, if not quite the way that they were imagining - I've got this little scenario playing out in my head of the team at the ME panel calling for silence and then Casey coming up and saying "Gotcha!" or some equally cliched thing, and all of us will just be sitting there absouletly gobsmacked... Part of me will most certainly want to kill if they do that, but I think for the most part, I'll probably just be in awe of the sheer amount of ballsiness it would take to pull something like that off B)

My father-in-law is into shooters and it's funny to see my 9 year old kill him over and over. The last time I really got into a shooter was the original Far Cry, I used to spend hours taking him out only to hear shouts of rage from his pc. Mwuhahahahaha. I do play others occassionally but they're just so samey these days imo.

I'm perfectly accepting of dissenting opinions. I support your right to express them as i support a consumers right to be unhappy with a product they paid for.

It's like Executor Palin says in ME1, when Shepard informs him that humans are treated like second class citizens and have to fight for everything they get.

"Good. Fight for it, but don't expect the rest of us to sit around and let you take it".
