That's not the worst bit: It's to be released "in summer".
Summer... let me see, that's how many months away? Well, it's the fifth of April now, so that's about 25 days until the beginning, but I'd bet EA will not release in July, so that'd be nearly up to three months.
Imagine this: Three months to give us a minute or two of extra content, in the form of cutscenes and I'd bet maybe an "investigate" option with one or two characters at the end. Now that I think about it: Activision and it's yearly co-worker (IW or treyarch) give out a fully released game in 24 months, so that's around about 1/8th of a game in three months. Looks like EAware is getting lazy, or they're giving us about 1 hour of extra content.
One hour of extra content... nah, after what I've seen about EAWare's laziness, it's not gonna happen, is it?
Ha, yeah, they will hope people will quiet down a bit. Thats why there would be a delay of a few months. A month to 1.5 I would be fine with. Beyond that, it gets a bit redundant.
As for EAWare laziness. Should be used to it by now. DA2, TOR, ME3...come on...its the new trend for them. Make an epic story, then find some way to completely kill it.
DA2 - Reused areas. Same damn caves, that sort of thing.
TOR - Play it through once and it is too boring to be bothered doing it again (lets not start on the crafting).
ME3 - Well...yeah...

That being said, yeah, chances of good extra content seems rather unlikely. If they do put out decent content, buy a lottery ticket...
