So we can't get the ending we want after all?

We must do this in a civilized manner and not jump to any conclusions. We must take anything that Bioware or EA says with a grain of salt. Remember that they liked the ending yet when we judged it for ourselves we deemed it inferior to the standards that Bioware put before us. A company consumers drive their profits and to not cater to their consumers expectations is bad business. It is our job as consumers, when a product fails in its performance, to let the business know in a civilized manner.
Though this may be Bioware or EA's attempt to please us remember that they are a business and are looking for profits. We must let them know that only the highest quality will be acceptable and anything less is intolerable. For those who are going to be at PAX tomorrow ask the hard questions, and think of questions tonight to present to Bioware.
We at the Retake Mass Effect movement will not falter, we will not tire, and we will not fail in our goal of voicing our distaste for the ending and saying that a ending worthy of this game is a must.
Thank you and hold the the line.

CD Projekt Red is going to hold a live stream of their conference in about 90 minutes. There's going to be a surprise announcement for fans of the The Witcher 2. Some speculate an expansion. Some have speculated a re-imagination of the Witcher 1 using the Red engine. Either way, they will be getting my money.

Firstly, I am glad that the "DLC" is free - though Bioware/EA really didn't have any other options regarding making the "DLC" free or not. They would have taken enormous flak if they had charged for the "DLC" - so it being free isn't really a bonus per say - but free stuff is always great so I wont complain.
The reason I double-comma the word, DLC, is because we currently have no way of knowing if there will be additional content or simply just one or two new scenes.
I'm definitely of the opinion that this extended cut may not be the exact answer that everyone has been searching for. The term 'extended' may simply indicate that Bioware are just going to add in some details but the endings are not going to change at all. Though I'm not prepared to rule out the possibility that the endings might be changed and that this whole 'extended-cut' business is just a way for Bioware to save face over this whole incident - without explicitly stating that the endings are going to be completely overhauled and redone.
My issue with the endings was simply that they negated every single choice gamers had made throughout the entire series. It didn't matter if you started Mass Effect back in 2007 (or 2008 for PC gamers) or now in 2012 - your options were exactly the same across the board.
The plot-holes of the endings are gaping wide and visible to all the dedicated fans, but I'm glad that at least Bioware have officially committed to addressing the problem that they created. I find absolutely impossible to believe that somehow these gigantic plot-holes just slipped through the writing net - Bioware created a Codex for goodness' sake that details the entire Universe and how all the "science" and technology works within it. For the writing team to suddenly "forget" that exploding Relays wipe out entire star-systems is unrealistic. As one poster succintly wrote, "When Shepard blew up the Relays, he killed more orgnaics than the Reapers ever did on their best sweep through the Galaxy!" Turns out that epic scale genocide was actually the saving grace for the universe. <_<
However, I seriously believe that a few extra cutscenes and some additonal narration can never hope to fix the glaring collapse of the Mass Effect Universe that Bioware willingly/unknowingly caused by shipping ME3 with the current endings.
At least this announcment is a step in the right direction - here's hoping Bioware pull through.

Sadly I can't as PS3 owner so all I can do is wait for Dragons Dogma, GW2 or The Last Guardian whenever that comes out.

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
- No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the
end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will
expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

You know I actually think I could swallow nothing better than "clarity" which is pretty much them saying "Your all dumb f**ks so here have some free DLC and shut the hell up"
Really BioWare... <_<
Yeah the problem with that is that I'm far from stupid and if given the c hance I would tell, Ray, Hudson, Walters and EA Execs that in very clear and colorful langauge because at this point. There is only so many times, I'm going let you slap me around in the name of being polite and respect till my tolerance runs out.
And its getting dangerous close that point.
None of here are stupid - we all come from various educational back grounds and we all came to the same conclusion. These endings are terrible - so they can take their "Oh you not smart enough to get our "Artistic Vision." and you know where with it.
/rant.

Okay I feel better now - had to get that out.

Dear Lord.. they're in fact keeping the RGB endings (and only those, there won't be a fourth "screw your solutions" option added in, judging by this) and sticking to their "artistic vision".. to make us buy more dlc and, of course, multiplayer packs.. oh well. Can't say I'm surprised, really.
Just terribly disapointed.

Good:
- Gives them time to do it right, not that that means they will.
- Also, free is important, since after all, if you had to pay for it and if it didn't add anything you could experience, only vids, then we'd all troll the YouTubes and they wouldn't get any money anyway.
Bad:
- Holding the line till July (EDIT:or whenever it comes out) is a tall order.
- Clarification is not quite the word we were looking for...
- My ME1 copy already has less dust on it than my ME3.
- What about people without internet connectivity for their Console? Are they SOL?
---We might be talking about a double dip depression here guys. Right now, it's like we're all just waiting in the hospital lounge to hear whether our loved one will stay dead or just be paralyzed for life.
