Keeping starchild and rgb ending, whatever bioware

Although the line is broken (in my opinion, just took down my banner), we are still around. We lost a big battle, but the war will continue, for as long it takes. Until Bioware is but a husk, or until they realize the only DLC we will buy is true ending DLC.

"I am cancelling my subscription because of the complete lack of respect and dignity shown to Bioware's fans over the ending to Mass Effect 3. The poor quality of both that game and Bioware's handling of the majority of its fans demands is appalling. We do NOT want clarification, we want the endings and content we were promised. The artistic vision statement is crap as other game developers have done the exact same thing before and did not violate their integrity. I will not be buying another EA or Bioware game again until BW/EA fix their mistake properly."

So after all these most passionate and caring fan events in gaming like the
childsplay charity 80000$
and the cupcakes ,
all the awesome fan fic and suggestions for the topic " chaning the ending feedback"
pointing out how the end makes no sense in the me lore
forming the retake movement,all the youtube vids ,
after all this effort and caring of the fans , they still stick to their endings?
Such arrogance, unbelievable,especially for a gaming company.

Just watched a interview with Bethesdas executive producer at the time they retconned the ending and made broken steal dlc for fallout 3 , he even admits in the interview ,that his company made a mistake with the vanilla ending. This in contrast to Bioware shows how they really dont give a damn anymore.

I was going to finish chapter 4 today, but damn, too aggrevated now it'd completely destroy it.  Yet, it gives me some incentive to finish it when I don't feel like taking my frustrations out on beloved characters.  This hurts me.

Alright...after reading through the FAQ, it's one more playthrough through the games for me. One with the Extended stuff in at the end. If this explains the glaring plotholes we were presented with, I will happily play the games again in the future, just like re-reading Lord of the Rings is a good past-time to spend a week or two with during summer-holidays.

If this is just a weak extended cinematic that leaves the ending as illogical as it is, that's the end of me buying EA-published titles.

Well said. Its hard to believe that Bioware went from the company that included Tali and Garrus as LI's because that's what we wanted to.. this. The power of EA, its too strong. Glad Drew made it out in time. Something tells me the masterful story teller saw this coming.

i dont care which ending bioware cosiders as CANON as long as I have my Happy ending and 15 others that will give my Shepard closure.

Just read the bioware blog about how their keeping the endings and going just for clarification.  That seriously depressed me, like the way I felt when I first saw the endings. I'm at work and I feel like running to the bathroom and crying or raging or breaking something.  However, that being said, I will hold the line forever, Bioware/EA will not get anymore of my money, but I am still reserving final judgement for after I play the free 'ending' DLC.  I'm now seriously doubting it'll be worth it, (all of my hope has sort of vanished) sometimes free isn't good.  Like someone said earlier, a kick in the nuts is free...

Well its math stuff, so its not like I'm going to miss much, cause I can just ask my friends in class and also me and my da are math nuts, we can do calc in our sleep pretty much... >> yeah I'm insane I know... *sighs* I'm.... not sure what I'm goign to do now... I had such huge expectations going into this wholoe game and this movement, and twice, TWICE, my expectations have been crushed by some money making swindling cheepskates who don't know the first thing about listening to their fans, all they know how to do is how to listen to money, and almost all of the sales from ME3 were weeks 1 and 2 when it was all preorders... I wish I could go back to the day when I first picked up ME1 and tell myself not to get it because the third game is such a big disappointment.

They have singlehandedly discreditted all of us while making the world think that they did what we asked.

There is no more line left to hold.

My reaction;

Mass Effect 3; Deleted from Hard drive.

Origin spyware; Deleted from Hard drive.

Mass Effect 2; Deleted from Hard drive.

Mass Effect; Deleted from Hard drive.

Dragon Age 2; Deleted from Hard drive

Dragon Age Origins; Deleted from Hard drive.

EA: Black listed, full boycot of all existing and future products.

Bioware; Blacklisted, full boycot of all existing and future products.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this.  I'm a Vice President and an accomplished, well respected software engineer at my firm .  I'm not some whiney brat; I'm someone with real industry experience (granted my experience is limitted to the finance sector).

ME3 is a piece of software.  Seriously.  It is NOT art.  Video games will never be art.  I used to think a few could be called that until this debacle happened, but with day one DLC and the "buy Magic Card Booster Pack" multi-player system, the wool has been removed from eyes.  Software can be elegant, it can be beautiful, but it will never be art.

Why?  Because software exists to perform a function, whether it be to entertain, to provide automation, to peform a business function, or to solve a complex problem.  It is a product, meant to be consumed.

If Apple released an iPhone 5 that was hated by a large component of its userbase, don't you think they would be doing everything in their power to fix it?  No company that wants to be successful will ever stand behind a faulty product.  They may not admit fault (and who really gives a sh*t if BioWare apologizes, I sure don't; I want action not platitudes and PR bullsh*t), but they take action or fail (look at the iPhone 4 antenna fiasco; Apple addressed the issue, it cost them some money, but they are still hugely successful).

If Mercedes were to release a beautiful car that ran great for 3000 miles then broke down every 10 miles there after, you would be damn right to expect them to recall the car and make it right.  Mercedes is not going to say "this car is a work of art, shut up and like it" or distribute pamphlets justifying their garbage product as art.  Why?  Because Mercedes knows better.  They know their reputation is important for future success.

It astounds me that EA and BioWare have the audacity to take this stance.  This is just bad business.

I have already stated we have lost.  EA and BioWare have pulled off an excellent solution to their immediate PR problem.  But will their shortsidedness here finally be the deathknell for EA/BioWare?  Probably not.  But, there is only so long a company can survive while operating strictly with a focus on the short term.

Agreed, too bad Bioware had to be indoctrinated by EA. They used to be quite something.

Oh trust me, I'm going to keep holding the line. Maybe not as ardently as before, but I'll stay here for the long haul.

BW/EA made a brilliant tactical strike. 90% of the people celebrating got no further than the word FREE.

So everyone is happy about no gameplay being added, cutscenes and text, starchild, genocide, because they are going to show more space magic? Because they are going to "clarify" Joker's cowardice?
