Those 50 or so are my brothers and sister in arms and they mean more to me than BW tries to understand. Sheppard proved that in ME 2 - no one gets left behind! The Sheppard I created and play would NEVER settle for a missing crew. Never! That goes against everything my Sheppard stood for and the quality of this man. BW never seems to get this at all. Which is why these endings are so pointless in the extreme.

Its like you totally get me, lol

Some people were asking for links to these leaks. I personally couldn't find squat just blogs talking about them. I did however find this, so I hope this helps: http://pastebin.com/ferTx1qx

I seriously outside that haven't found anything to prove that these claims are true and when I ask I get the same answer "it's everywhere." The only thing everywhere I have seen is people only talking about them. So unless they are getting taken down as quick as they get put up, I am at a loss if I should believe anything.

I don't really understand the thought process of people. They think that they deserve a good ending of sunshine and rainbows if they play nice with everyone and make all the blue letter choices?? Not everything turns out well and I guess they just hate that they can do nothing about the unavoidable bad things no matter how paragon they are.

I'm disappointed by the general lack of variety in the endings.
You'll also note that there is no scenario in which the Reapers win.

So much for them being so ridiculously powerful and whatnot.

SHUT UP about he sunshine and rainbow endings. Most never said they don't want bittersweet endings but these are just bitter. Beside nobody is saying the current endings should not be removed. Plus their seems to be several plot holes.

I don't really understand the thought process of people. They think the vast majority of these arguments are about not getting sunshine and rainbows. Not everyone is asking for that and I guess its just they can't be bothered actually reading any of the arguments no matter how internet versed they are.

Closure, mate. These characters are what really made the game shine (imo at least). I hope the actual ending would have in-game cutscenes (that cannot be datamined right now) that would at least provide an epilogue of some kind. Even then, in its current state, don't u think the ending's a little....empty? not a good way to close such an epic trilogy.

of course, me being wrong (and this whole leaked ending being a hoax) would make me the happiest person, but i really doubt it.

I must have missed the scene where it turns out the human Reaper survived and galactic civilization was completely eradicated.

No I won't shut up about people not being able to accept realistic consequences in a fictional world not written by them.  List of plot holes please.

I guess I'll throw in my two cents since I've been watching this play back and forth. Be prepared for tl;dr.

The first game made it clear that the fight with the reapers was NOT going to be easy. It took a lot of sacrifice and power to kill one, and imagining an entire fleet of them... I just couldn't process it. Part of me still believes it's a fruitless endeavor and Shepard and earth and everyone are all gonna be destroyed and everything's going to be for naught. There's absolutely no possible way there's going to be a happy ending to this series. There never was. The entire point of it, even as stated by Femshep in the trailer, is survival at its basest. Nothing else.

I always imagined Shepard pulling a heroic sacrifice to save everyone. That's, at least, the Shepard I played through the games with and imagine. Him/her dying is acceptable to me, because of the situation, and I'm surprised there's an ending where he/she lives at all. Since Earth is revealed to be ground zero for the reaper invasion, I don't imagine it lasting long. If I can somehow save it with a large enough fleet of my own, great. But being attacked so quickly by that much firepower and planning doesn't leave much to the imagination.

As to the Normandy crashing, I'm thrilled they survive at all. I thought they would be blasted to bits in the gunfire or go down with Shepard. I don't care if they're stranded, all that matters to me is that they're alive. From the grandpa/grandson video that was released, they were able to live on peacefully and have families. Considering they were just about to be violently wiped out by a race of sentient machines, I'd say that's an improvement. The details aren't clear about the specific companions, such as Tali or Garrus, so I'll simply have to wait for the release.

There are things Bioware does that I like, and there are things they do that I can't stand. I'm not about to forsake a series and cut off a pre-order because it may not end quite how I wanted it to. I wanted a lot of things that I didn't get just like in any other thing ever, just like everyone else, but I'm excited about the final release of my favorite series and I'm going to play the crap out of it. I love my Shep and I won't leave her hanging like that.

ME 2 showed blowing the relay extinguished the entire system and everything in it. The same can happen for earth by blowing the earth relay. The rest of the relays would be intact plus that would also wipe out the Reapers IF that was the entire reason for this series. Heck, even an asteroid of the size that wiped out the dinosaurs would do the trick for the Reapers. Again leaving the galaxy intact and humanity in the colonies safe.

Ending where everyone dies, Shepard dies, and then it is assumed Reapers go and reap the galaxy because of no Shepard.  The End.

It's been said many times that nobody is looking for rainbows and bunnies ending. They are looking for an in between. An end to a trilogy should be a satisfying feeling not a "well that was dumb". if anything I would like a version of Freespace 2 ending if you stayed behind kind of thing but longer with more details. I made a choice to stay behind and felt satisfied.

Bioware saw the forums, they saw what people on here wanted. Why would they risk such an outrage?

Did the market data really suggest people wanted an abysmal helpless ending?
