So Starchild was not a concussion and was actually supposed to be th ending....Its sad i have been with bioware since baldurs gates in 1998, and now my trust in them has been completely relequished. I will never spend another penny on a bioware game or DLC unless this extended cut gives me back choice!. I CANT STAND TO LOOK AT RED, BLUE OR GREEN OBJECTS ANYMORE RAGEEEEEE!!

This is a case of how to destroy you're fan base and company within 5 minutes of a game ending. Ah well we got Free DLC stuff..... just not the endings we wanted so it's simple vote with you're wallet and never buy a product from them again

Just watched a interview with Bethesdas executive producer at the time they retconned the ending and made broken steal dlc for fallout 3 , he even admits in the interview ,that his company made a mistake with the vanilla ending. This in contrast to Bioware shows how they really dont give a damn anymore.

Interesting, could I have the link please? I would definitely like to watch it.

here you go:

QFE. Bethesda will not be the proud owners of my Bioware/EA money. I'm sure they'll appreciate it. I have an extra $15 a money now and I hear Skyrim has DLC coming and I don't have any of the New Vegas expansions. Guess Bethesda hit the jackpot.

Bethesda just released the 'Ultimate' New Vegas pack that contains all the DLC content.

Waiting for Skyrim myself. Admittedly, Bethesda couldnt write a story to save their lives, but they DO make incredible worlds..

Well its math stuff, so its not like I'm going to miss much, cause I can just ask my friends in class and also me and my da are math nuts, we can do calc in our sleep pretty much... >> yeah I'm insane I know... *sighs* I'm.... not sure what I'm goign to do now... I had such huge expectations going into this wholoe game and this movement, and twice, TWICE, my expectations have been crushed by some money making swindling cheepskates who don't know the first thing about listening to their fans, all they know how to do is how to listen to money, and almost all of the sales from ME3 were weeks 1 and 2 when it was all preorders... I wish I could go back to the day when I first picked up ME1 and tell myself not to get it because the third game is such a big disappointment. :crying:

At least you won't miss much. I'm not sure what I am going to do now either....I feel so sick, worse than before, My head is starting to hurt and I now cant stop crying again. It's like BioWare want to drive their fans over a cliff.

I wish I could slap my friend who suggested I play ME1, I would never have looked twice at ME1 if she hadn't suggested it. I am really not into Sci-Fi but when she suggested I play it, saying it was a brillaint RPG. I bought it for PC (and I hate pc gaming) I loved it from the moment it started up. Why can't I have a time machine? :crying:

I think that's the next venture of the ReTake Movement, and that's to fund a Time Machine and all of us will have to go back in time and stop ourselves from getting ME1...

Fredo Bioware, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels trade shows. I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother go to conventions, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?

Guess now I am going to go get Skyrim instead, because apparently other companies value their fans more.Honestly, I would rather get charged and get a new awesome ending(or at least make other alternative ones), than get some half a**** job and have it for free.
DA3? Hmm...no. Only if it's used. And after a whole year, to make sure everyone liked it. Thank God for Gamestop and its used games.
I guess now I'm gonna go put "In The End" by Linkin Park on repeat and sit in the corner of my dorm room...:crying:

As I recently posted in the actual news forum, just so proud of it that I felt that it had to be repeated here:

Currently, Bethesda developers are in a meeting with something along the lines of this being said:
"Perkins, what's the news with EA and Bioware?"
"They f**ked up, sir."
"Alright, that's our cue gentlemen, what do we have on the table to bring in the angry Bioware fans?"
"We should have something to show off by the time they're done with their statement at PAX, sir."
"Excellent, this is the moment we knew was coming for a month now, remember everyone, put on your honest faces and halos, they won't be able to resist the offers of DLC we can give them."
"Sir, apparently several other companies are also preparing DLC and news about their games to drive the population away from Mass Effect 3, should we do something about it?"
"No Perkins, We'll all work together on this one and blow Bioware out of business in one fell swoop."
"Sir, you're a genius, no wonder we aren't in the position they're in."
"I know, right? What kind of idiot writer thinks that people would be happy with a kid apparently controlling everything, and then seeing everyone they know and love being stranded on a planet with some of your best friends doomed to starvation and the rest doomed to die from overpopulation?"

I feel so proud of myself... is that a bad thing?

Not at all, I think it's safe to say that's exactly what's happening at all major companies right now.

ME3 is a piece of software.  Seriously.  It is NOT art.
Software can be elegant, it can be beautiful, but it will never be art.

Why?  Because software exists to perform a function, whether it be to entertain, to provide automation, to peform a business function, or to solve a complex problem.  It is a product, meant to be consumed.

Very well put, sir.

So they're taking the route of 'art' once again, though this 'art' breaks conventional and good story telling to pieces for a horribly plotted out ending pathway, that doesn't fall in line with other games Bioware has produced in the recent history where your choices all had a chain of effects at the end, even DAII had more variation if you included the variability of LI and which side you chose.

At least you saw a difference in dialogue for Varric at the end, which of course we don't get in ME3.

At least ME1 and ME2 will be shining jewels of gaming, and well most of ME3, the only way I can see their solution being bearable is if they made chain reactions for your choices at the end, not just spending three months on an ending to just change the tint of colors after it's finished.

Can I support Bioware with my purchases in the future? Possibly if DA3 turns out well, but my preferred series ended on a artistically sour note. My purchases from Bioware would be supportive of the development teams specifically not the company.

If this 'fix' doesn't turn out to be worth anything then I will not be making any purchases of products produced by Mac Walters and Casey Hudson.

It's really sad that because of the reviewer name calling (whiny, entitled) because their 'artistic integrity' has been disproven by many people (smarter than them or me), we still have to prove we're not by providing our resumes. Why is this still necessary? Don't get me wrong I'm glad people do it, I think it helps remind them we are not a stereotype (because apparently they keep forgetting). But the fact that we have to do it is ridiculous.

Edit:  Rant over, still holding the line!

They are probably content with the drones they have who won't question their "artistic integrity" or plotholes

The ironic things is, if they would have just said what they said in the blog (no new ending) a month ago, they wouldn't even have to do the DLC since no one wants space magic or star child explained...they wanted them gone.

Sorry bioware, but what you were doing was not listening.

Who the heck came up with the "video game is art" story? It isn't.
Window 8 is not art; it's a program.
Solitaire is not art; it's a game.
Mario Kart is not art; it is a freaking video game!!

*sighs* Honestly, they just set a scary precedent. I can now see video game companies making horrible games, not hearing any feedback and saying that they won't change anything because it will harm their "artistic integrity" <_<
