Think about it people, our determination made them bring this issue out in the public and actually act on this matter. I'm positive they haven't started actual works on the DLC yet so it's still possible for them to reconsider additional variables... we absolutely need to continue to provide our feedback.

Bioware. If you like it or not. One day we will have it our way. What is done CAN be undone. We will NOT thank you for adding sprinkles onto the crap of a ending.

I for one will never stop demanding what Mass Effect has earned. If you are that LAZY, move over for someone who gives a damn and get lost.

Lazy? It's not about being lazy. It's about not having the time, nor the money to do what people are, somewhat unreasonably, demanding.

Ummm no. Its been done before by Bethesda so its not unreasonable. Also this ending was very lazy considering we were promissed 16 wildly different endings in the first place.

Actually Laurencio ahs a point, in order to do the ending thing, they have to reedit the game, which emans they would have to rerelease the game, and honestly they are nto going to giev that out for free. Quite frankly yes i'm upset that Bioware is lieing when they say they are listening...but what annoys me is their lack of hoensty to admit they just don't wanna do it. They keep giving the Artistic integrity excuse. It's not really that they just don't want to expend the time or money to fix what they screwed up. Oh also there si this...

if it's fake fine, funny haha tease, but if it's real...Bioware owes everyone a big explanation.

That's the thing. I know that they literally dont have the time or resources to completely fix their mistake. But to make a few more cutscenes of the things we should have gotten, they have the resources for that. I just want the truth: how did this happen and for once, can you just apologize for what we all know is a horrible mistake.

You know the worst part? I've seen some people celebrating because they got a 'victory'.
This isn't a victory, this is something you give people to shut them up. Like a pat on the head of an errant child.

You keep the endings, you keep the glaring plot holes.
And a wall of text, or some extra scenes won't make anybody happy in the long run. Because the vile taste of the things that happened before will be still in the mouths of your fans.

We want something decent, not a shut-up thingy.

Believe me. I've actually cosidered lighting my ME collection on fire and sending Bioware/EA the ashes.

You know, I was fearing all they would do in the end was just throw a band aid on this problem and now it looks like that's all they intend to do. I hope they'll do something to surprise us but I'm not counting on it.

after this line from bioware, i don't think they are willing to change anything.

"No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned"

Nah don't be.. it was hilarious actually.. Good. Haha.
People are mean and scary sometimes :(
I mean, you're a regular here; highly doubt you would post something like that just to make everyone mad...

The only way to hurt them is with our wallets.

Oh so uh... no marching up to the edmonton HQ and pelting it with dead squids screaming "REAPER INVASION"? Because I got all this calamari here and its starting to stink...

Hehehe.  I was considering using my friends wood chipper and tossing all three of my ME games into it and mailing the remains to BW.

I just read the blogpost. Thank the spirits I'm a heartless b.tch to begin with, or I'd have lost it.
I feel like just washing my hands from Bioware forever, but I won't, I'll hold. If it's even possible, I feel worse now than when I actually finished the game.... I guess I'll need the booze for something else than the drinking game now.

I am guessing whatever we get will be work that was already done but was taken out during the ego trip the writers and producer had.  Stop the hold the line rhetoric.  They are not changing anything.  Accept it.  You want to hold the line, don't buy games from bioware or ea. That is the only way thy will actually listen. Our Shepard had to pay the ultimate price for their incompetance.  Let his sacrifice actually mean something.

As I recently posted in the actual news forum, just so proud of it that I felt that it had to be repeated here:

Currently, Bethesda developers are in a meeting with something along the lines of this being said:
"Perkins, what's the news with EA and Bioware?"
"They f**ked up, sir."
"Alright, that's our cue gentlemen, what do we have on the table to bring in the angry Bioware fans?"
"We should have something to show off by the time they're done with their statement at PAX, sir."
"Excellent, this is the moment we knew was coming for a month now, remember everyone, put on your honest faces and halos, they won't be able to resist the offers of DLC we can give them."
"Sir, apparently several other companies are also preparing DLC and news about their games to drive the population away from Mass Effect 3, should we do something about it?"
"No Perkins, We'll all work together on this one and blow Bioware out of business in one fell swoop."
"Sir, you're a genius, no wonder we aren't in the position they're in."
"I know, right? What kind of idiot writer thinks that people would be happy with a kid apparently controlling everything, and then seeing everyone they know and love being stranded on a planet with some of your best friends doomed to starvation and the rest doomed to die from overpopulation?"

Image IPB

I feel so proud of myself... is that a bad thing?

Edit: Yeah, yeah, no images... I'll take that into account in the future.

No need to worry about images now.. I expect Bioware will close this thread in the next few days regardless. Its time to start looking for a new meeting place. May i recommend that we use the ME3 facebook page as a place to discuss where to move??

Lazy? It's not about being lazy. It's about not having the time, nor the money to do what people are, somewhat unreasonably, demanding.

Actually there is nothing unreasonable about our so called demands

In any other industry, misleading and false marketing of the calibre Bioware put out for ME3 would give customers grounds for legal action. The gaming industry, being massive and having tons of revenue, believes it is above the free market rules that apply to every other product out there.

The fact is they made false promises that they are unwilling to fullfill. I swear if I was in the US I'd file an official complaint against them. Not just because of the endings, but because it's about time paying customers take a stance and say "No more". Enough is enough.

Of course there is. You are demanding that they completely change part of the game that could potentially be linked to other projects under development. If so those projects become useless and the time and money spent on these projects are utterly useless. Resulting in massive losses, as well as disgruntled employes.

Now even if they did change the ending that would have cost them a considerably chunk of money, which would have to  be taken from other projects and development funds. Probably reducing the quality of potential masterpieces. It would talso take a lot of time, which impatient fans wouldn't be willing to wait for, and when they finally released it there is no guarantee that the fans would like this new ending one bit.

There are absolutely no grounds, at least not legally, for false advertising.

I have been asked to remind people that Amazon is still accepting full no-questions asked refunds on ME3 by a member who is not longer able to post in this thread. (They called EA customer support and had their registration codes revoked, which is why they can't post in this tread.)

Or you can buy a copy for 17 english pounds........... yes thats right it's been out for 4 weeks and its already that cheap!

Well, I guess I'll never finish the game after all. Stopped before Priority:Earth 1 and that's it. I'm now considering whether to return my copy, destroy it, or keep it as a reminder of what corporate abuse looks like..

*words not appropriate for a forum* ehem...now that i've finished swearing...What the *words* was that? Honestly? Seriously? I saw the announcement and was like oh hey...this looks promising and then I read it and went back to feeling angry about the ending. Is there like some unspoken rule that everything amazing has to end horribly? BSG. Lost. Mass Effect. The Sopranos. And probably many other things I am too angry to think of right now. GAH somebody flip a table on my behalf. I swear to Odin, if the next bioware game I play disappoints me then I am done. Absolutely. DONE.

Someone posted awhile back that on the ME3 DataPad app for iOS, if your Shepard survived the "destory" ending you received a mail from your LI saying he or she would maybe be allowed to see you today/soon.  That does fit in nicely with the link you provided.

That being said, the entire plot line seems a little too contrived, especially since the "control" option does not have a "Shepard lives" option.  An interesting theory, though likely a hoax.  The intro reads like one of the spam mails that tries to establish legitimacy before asking for a bank account number to give you millions.
