They did say on the little FAQ about the extended cutscene that they won't address the ending again after this. So basically they said this is final. Period. End of story. Deal with it.

Bioware. If you like it or not. One day we will have it our way. What is done CAN be undone. We will NOT thank you for adding sprinkles onto the crap of a ending.

I for one will never stop demanding what Mass Effect has earned. If you are that LAZY, move over for someone who gives a damn and get lost.

Lazy? It's not about being lazy. It's about not having the time, nor the money to do what people are, somewhat unreasonably, demanding.

Actually there is nothing unreasonable about our so called demands

In any other industry, misleading and false marketing of the calibre Bioware put out for ME3 would give customers grounds for legal action. The gaming industry, being massive and having tons of revenue, believes it is above the free market rules that apply to every other product out there.

The fact is they made false promises that they are unwilling to fullfill. I swear if I was in the US I'd file an official complaint against them. Not just because of the endings, but because it's about time paying customers take a stance and say "No more". Enough is enough.

Of course there is. You are demanding that they completely change part of the game that could potentially be linked to other projects under development. If so those projects become useless and the time and money spent on these projects are utterly useless. Resulting in massive losses, as well as disgruntled employes.

Now even if they did change the ending that would have cost them a considerably chunk of money, which would have to  be taken from other projects and development funds. Probably reducing the quality of potential masterpieces. It would talso take a lot of time, which impatient fans wouldn't be willing to wait for, and when they finally released it there is no guarantee that the fans would like this new ending one bit.

There are absolutely no grounds, at least not legally, for false advertising.

No offense but you are obviously new here and haven't read a thing.

No, its not demanding. It has BEEN DONE BEFORE. Go see Bethesda and Broken Steel DLC.

There is false advertisment here. Go see the developer quotes and descriptions during development. Better yet go watch the ANgry Joe video about the 10 reasons we hate the ME3 ending.

Many parts of this game were lazy, the coding during the last 50% (I kept getting black screens or just seeing shepard stuck in one spot during the cut scenes once cerberus attack the Citidel.) Tali's face is another example of lazy, the art team has almost nothing to do when the game is about to go Gold and they could have been used to make a much better effort with that picture. People would still be upset but at least they would have made an actual effort. Kai Leng is just a lazy character, completely stereotype character that could have been much better. (When I first saw the black suited arm I thought Cerberus had cloned Shepard and was really hoping for that)
And horribly lazy with the ending victory fleet, where are my vorcha, living tanks, and krogan fighting along side Geth, Quarians and Asari. Eclipse mech holding off waves of Reaper forces? Nope, no matter how many races you recruit you get the same ground team in every event.

Though I don't think it's just laziness, I honestly think EA forced them to rush the game out. EA is very well know for this practice and it hurts every single game they do it to. I can understand and simpithise with Bioware if this is the case, except for the red blue and green endings, those endings are just not acceptible and it's insulting that they think we are just to stupid to understand their "Artistic Vision". If this is all they are giving us, it doesn't matter if these new cut scenes fix the plot holes and wraps up the ending nicely, I'm done with Bioware and EA, or at least till Bioware cuts ties with EA and then I might look at their product again.

To be fair, Kai Leng is a bad ass in the books.

But he was written by Drew, so that's why... without Drew the character failed.

Incorrect, they noted that they had nothing specific planned for the ME universe after ME3 beyond intending to make more games in it. Therefore they have no ME related projects that would be affected by changing the ending. Even if they did, they could simply ignore any ending DLC and declare the original ending as canon.

I don't give a damn if employees are 'disgruntled'. I'm a customer, I'm only concerned that the ice cream I bought has a large turd at the bottom.

I don't give a flying pile of solid waste excretions about the quality of future DLC. I'm only concerned with the quality of the product I already paid for.

It has been made VERY clear that no one asking for the ending to be changed would have objected to having to wait for it. We DO understand that producing such a thing would take time. We were only 'impatient' at Bioware's continuing attempts to stall in the hope we'd go away and they wouldn't have to do anything at all.

Also incorrect. There is VERY clear evidence that all the statements given pre-release regarding the ending were lies. No A,B or C endings..., ...your choices will affect the ending....16 unique endings....

Too many are too quick to give up.

That's why companies like EA continue to release garbage.

Not this time, soldier. To quote my favourite Captain next to Admiral Anderson: The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!

They have the right and the final say in what the end will be like. It is their IP to do with as they think is fit. If they think they can alienate their customers, that is their choice.

But we can show them what does and doesn't fly. Maybe we can not win this. But we'll fight it regardless. And if we ultimately fail and the free DLC does not live up to the promise of more closure and fixing plotholes, we can show them what financial loss means.

I don't like to do this to BW. Hell, I love their creative work, the art and all that, especially as a gamedesigner myself.

But this goes to far.
Either the series concludes the way it deserves and some faith will be restored that BW will release great works in the future, or it doesn't, in which case we should take very close first and second looks at their future releases before purchase.

Hold the line people. Stock up on stims, eat hearty and keep your (metaphoric)  guns clean, the fight isn't over yet.

Indoctrination proof!!

look at these segments

Blue ending - first minute. Total control of Sheppard. Ghost kid smirks (Illusive man's mistake)

Green ending - first minute. Assumed control of Sheppard through deception (Saren's mistake)

Red ending - first minute. No control of Sheppard. Ghost kid vaporized. Sheppard wakes up in rubbles of London
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7zY3WBT2q0

Just these facts are enough to have a 100% conviction that the last part of the ending, when Harbringer's eyes glow yellow during the final rush (Assuming Control), is an endoctrination attempt.

Enjoy!!!! :P

gonna sound like the devil's advocate kere, but:

GIVE IT TIME PEOPLE.

We don't know yet what exactly will be in the "extended cut". It's not easy to admit you're wrong (although that would be the man's thing to do here).

"Expanding" the endings is the next best thing to an unconditional surrender we can get. Anything more would require BW to admit "yeah, we screwed up the ending so completely it has undone 100+ hours of epic gameplay, we will replace it with something appropriate".

I believe that's what they should do, and it would be a way of saving both the ending and their precious "artistic integrity". They could have said - yes, You're right, the endings are illogical and do not do the game justice.

But I'll wait and see how the ending will be fixed.

Well, I guess that's it then. As far as I'm concerned EAware and their "misunderstood artists" can rot while I spend my money elsewhere.

I just don't see how a "clarification" can serve any kind of good purpose. It was clear enough the first time around: They ran out of time and/or decided to get clever and fumbled.

If only.

...a kick in the teeth. I won't destroy my Origin account, I have bought some games I can't play without it (I guess I should've seen the warning sings right there), I suppose in a few years I might even be able to play DAO without cringing... And there's MP, which is fun every once in a while. I just never assumed that's what Bioware's games would be reduced to, a damned modern warfare multiplayer session.

I guess I made few friends though, something good, but still... *sigh* You know, I really did believe we could make this happen, that our opinions and wishes would've mattered. Fool me once, fool me twice.

That would send the message nicely.
