^ This makes me so focking angry.  ^

If they just try to clarify the BS they spooned us it's going to ****** people off MUCH worse than we already are. The endings werent "deep". I didnt misunderstand them. They were simply broken. They arent even classifiable as an "end". Here is why they are BROKEN

"BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise." I am shocked and i feel sick. I feel as if someone spat in my face. All this time, people around the world point out all the bullsh*t included in the endings and they say "We believe in artistic vision" . WHAT THE F :((((((

I'll be tweeting a piece of my mind regarding this, and I recommend you do the same:

@GambleMike , Producer (and liar extraordinaire)
@KenThain Lead designer
@Bioware (Abusive corporation)
@robinmayne Development director, ME3 team
@manveerheir Senior designer

And now my favourites...the PR ppl:
@BioWong
@FemSteph

Let's share our thoughts shall we? After all, what's Twitter for if not to share...

PS: And no, despite being incredibly angry and disappointed, I am not asking ppl to go insult/bash these individuals. Just give them real feedback on their decision. Respectfully if you can. If not, wait, cool down, and get to it!

Personally I would wait until we get some more details tomorrow at PAX, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not sure I understand. Doesn't the kid in the epilogue indicate that they don't have space travel, or am I remembering that wrong? If they had relays, wouldn't they have gone to every planet they could settle on? And this epilogue is supposed to be way in the future right?

I rather give my money to CD PROJECT who makes great games but also values me as a customer more than BioWare seems to do.

^ This !!!

I was actually just watching the conference live feed from them. I already have The Witcher 2 from GOG.com, but watching them talking about it and seeying how excited they are for their own product and what they are doing there, that made me go on Amazon and pre-order the retail version of the enchanced edition.

See EA and BioWare, this is how you get people to buy your games. You make them great, and then you make them even better. And not that this isnt enough, CD PROJECT then gives that updated version away FOR FREE !
And people like me value that gesture and go and buy that game again.

This is how you get more sales and satisfied customers. Not by making a great trilogy, promising a lot, and delivering, right up until the last 10 minutes, and then in that 10 mintues making the previous trilogy up until those last 10 minutes completely irrelevant. And then in the end when you have the opportunity to come good and give the fans what you promied and what they were expecting because you had delivered so far, you let us down.

And this is how you lose dedicated fans who have told their friends about your games, who have been playing and buying your games for years. I hope that it was worth it to you. But then again, i really cant see how it would be.
If this is really how you choose to treat your most dedicated fans, i dont want to be in that number anymore. I will rather take my business and hard earned money to someone who values both my money and my being their customer and supporter more than you do.

And now i think i will take this little tiny essay and edit a little bit and send it to BioWare.

Let them see once again how that "inspirying and uplifting" ending has inspired the fanbase to leave them and find someone who actaully offers something uplifting and tries to uplift the fans with their dedication for the product they are offering.

/rant.

Thoughts: I have not closed this thread on my computer since page 607 right after I finished watching all three endings and all I can say at this point is thanks to all of you and it is awesome to be a part of this community, even if from the shadows. The Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is not what most of us wanted but it is what we are getting. I am making the choice to be optimistic about it considering the fact that since they were able to trash the entire trilogy's story in 5 minutes, perhaps they can give it some redemption in another five. Be thankful that they are giving this out for free (aside from the emotional and time consuming trauma from StarChild). I truly want to believe they can do something right with this in order to put Shepard to rest at least for me but I am not holding my breath. I will still be around, waiting for news. Keelah Se'lai.

Well potentially the extended cut could clear up a lot, but given the tone of the release statement I'm not over optimistic so far. So my current plan of action:

1) Will not buy any ME3 DLC
2) Will check out the extended cut when released
3) Will re-evaluate (1) after (2)
4) I will under no circumstance pre-order Dragonage 3 or any other Bioware game, the trust is broken and will be looking heavily at fan reaction to any future releases they do before I condiser buying.

Now if Bioware want the trust back then they need to deliver a very good extended cut which soundly explains all 3 endings in a far better way than the current lashed together sack of garbage filled with canon holes they have at present. Also there going to have to really deliver when it comes to Dragonage 3. Myself I would very much like to see BioWare return to standards of old and feel there very capable of this after all ME3 was the best game I've played in a long time it's just they really, really, really, really screwed the ending up.

this is not Bioware way...
lets do our part !!1
but stop deleting games ,switching off...yet...
lets see..
from all we know they might just slap new ending !!1 and all this is disinformation !!1
so hold the line !!1and calm the fcuk down!!!

Sorry, I'm done.  I made my voice heard in the most polite and reasonable manner I could.   I'm tired of trying to sustain hope.  I gave it two weeks to see if I felt any better about it.  I don't.  I'm one of those people who wants a happy ending.  I'm not going to get it.  Simple as that.

I just have to decide if I want to sell my collector's edition or not.  I don't see myself playing it again, but it did cost me 80 bucks.

Let see how PAX reacts to this...I hope it will be entertaining. If I could go I would bring my ME3 copy and throw it at their feet and say "I am done with u guys take it Back"

Not a bad idea.If every retaker at PAX did this, it would have quite an impact.

It would get our message across

The best would be if the very first question was regarding changing the endings...

Then when they respond they won't change them due to artistic vision, everyone stood up and walked out of the panel...

On Xbox 360, yes, I will. There is no need to register your game to play it on the console. It's a disc, and it doesn't require you to connect...ever (only for patches..if you want them) :P

Thing is, I would be liable to trust Bioware if it was just Bioware. But hell, I find it extremely hard to have faith in anything that has any connection to EA. Because let's face it, the only way EA would ever change is if the entire board of directors resigned and were replaced by people who care about games and stories, not just dollars.

And I say that as a proud capitalist.

I just read the blogpost. Thank the spirits I'm a heartless b.tch to begin with, or I'd have lost it.
I feel like just washing my hands from Bioware forever, but I won't, I'll hold. If it's even possible, I feel worse now than when I actually finished the game.... I guess I'll need the booze for something else than the drinking game now.

Wish I could join ya.

I have strawberry liqueur thick enough to be a marmelade, blueberry liqueur strong enough to be whiskey, actual whiskey, some rum and vodka, some ouzo and white and red wine both, so I might be able to reach a state where I'll be tired enough to just go to sleep, not caring anymore.

Anyone wanna join pity boozing? :mellow:

I'll probably be raiding the liquor cabniet soon myself, so I'll be with you in spirit. :pinched:

Just a thought but does it seem odd that BW is announcing this ONE day before PAX surley there have been so many other chances.

Nope. This is most likely a reaction to EA winning the Consumers 'Worst company in America' aware yesterday.

It might also be a way for them to ignore any ME3 questions at PAX with 'We've already commented on that', and try to get people to concentrate on the MP DLC and Dragon Age 3...you know. The products no one is going to buy.

Yup, that sums up my plans. Never buying another BioWare product unless they actually fix the ending.

Fixing Image IPB by throwing more Image IPB is NOT HOW YOU FIX Image IPB. You have to cut the bloody Image IPB or else all you have is FOCKING Image IPB. If they dont fix this, Im NEVER buying another BioWare product again cause all im going to get is Image IPB only with pointy ears (DA3)

Also, I know some posters are worrying that venting like this means we're leaving the line.  I am not.  I'm holding the line as long as it takes, which will now translate into no more money to Bioware/EA from me.  Keep in mind that I am reserving complete anger until after PAX announcements.

I think what we should do, is after the announcement from PAX we need to find a website where we can blog about any news like this and other companies that truly listen to their customer feedback so we can make sure to give them our money.  But won't have the risk of being shut down if not talking on topic.  You guys have been awesome.  I want to keep posting with you Image IPB
