I rather give my money to CD PROJECT who makes great games but also values me as a customer more than BioWare seems to do.
^ This !!!
I was actually just watching the conference live feed from them. I already have The Witcher 2 from GOG.com, but watching them talking about it and seeying how excited they are for their own product and what they are doing there, that made me go on Amazon and pre-order the retail version of the enchanced edition.
See EA and BioWare, this is how you get people to buy your games. You make them great, and then you make them even better. And not that this isnt enough, CD PROJECT then gives that updated version away FOR FREE !
And people like me value that gesture and go and buy that game again.
This is how you get more sales and satisfied customers. Not by making a great trilogy, promising a lot, and delivering, right up until the last 10 minutes, and then in that 10 mintues making the previous trilogy up until those last 10 minutes completely irrelevant. And then in the end when you have the opportunity to come good and give the fans what you promied and what they were expecting because you had delivered so far, you let us down.
And this is how you lose dedicated fans who have told their friends about your games, who have been playing and buying your games for years. I hope that it was worth it to you. But then again, i really cant see how it would be.
If this is really how you choose to treat your most dedicated fans, i dont want to be in that number anymore. I will rather take my business and hard earned money to someone who values both my money and my being their customer and supporter more than you do.
And now i think i will take this little tiny essay and edit a little bit and send it to BioWare.
Let them see once again how that "inspirying and uplifting" ending has inspired the fanbase to leave them and find someone who actaully offers something uplifting and tries to uplift the fans with their dedication for the product they are offering.
