So we can't get the ending we want after all?

If they, however, just put a nice coat on the ruined and abused corpse that is the ending, then BioWare will have to ship me diamonds or make Generals 2 a god send (which I doubt), and then myself and the rest of the Normandy crew in my head will get drunk with a little help from my friend here.
Until then, SSV Pittsburgh will HOLD THE LINE.

The line will be held in the hope of it actually turning out decent, but given the tone of the FAQ, not having too high hopes on that.
"Artistic integrity", sheeesh, after giving us an narratively incoherent, plotholeridden ending with one of the laziest tools in literature, the good old deus ex machina, followed by a copy/paste of deus ex's endings, in combination with the slightly photoshoped pictures (Tali, winter space) not sure artistic vision or integrity is the angle you should be aiming for.
If this doesn't turn out better than I fear it will, the line (a different one) for me no longer providing bioware with funds will have been crossed, has been a good ride, from baldurs gate to most of me3. Been a few bumps along the way of course, but mostly it's been very enjoyable.

Don't walk out just yet.
If I'd have to choose one thing that I've learnt over the years working with an advertising team (I was producing advergames for them) is that names are just names, words are just words.
Want to appease your fans but don't want to let your shareholders know that you've actually did a huuuge mistake in the first place, one that would have cost them millions in the long run and endanger their profits over the next few years...? Call it a "clarification", "calibration", "slight adjustment" - use words that won't scare the crap out of corporate people - the people that have to evaluate your work, but never even played one of your productions (they know the "ending fiasco" pretty well, but haven't seen the ending, don't know what a turian is and often mistake Shepard for Kirk). Dress it up in words that will show you as someone wisely catering to the fans, even if they're "entitled" and "childish". Words. Get it? It's the same mechanism that requires you to add "but let us remind you that our games are enjoyed by XXXX people around the world" to the end of each defensive message.
Here's the deal. Admitting to a mistake and pounding your chest over how much you'd like to make up for it may be what the outraged fans expect, but is totally not an option in a corporate world (all personal stuff & whether someone really feels like they didn't deliver is irrelevant at this point - the corporate enviroment just won't let you do this, no matter what). Ever seen those press conferences where executives try to weasle their way out of admitting that they have dropped the ball? They're fully aware that most of the people watching will call them names as soon as they open their mouths and the word "sorry" doesn't fly out of there... But they still have to do it to keep their jobs, funding and future opportunities. Admit to a mistake and the shareholders will either replace you or take their money elsewhere.
Now, to the point. I'm not saying that BioWare will give us the endings we want and deserve, I'm saying it's still pretty much on the table. No, it seems that they won't probably cut out the terrible Starchild, but they may as well transform him into something totally different (Want ideas, BW? We've got about a thousand), reveal that he's feeding Shepard crap, go full indoc, go half indoc, go a quarter indoc, go in a totally different direction... That little announcement of EA's? Not changing much, really. Especially if you consider that it went out from the PR people, not the creative people - and these are two totally different worlds.
Right now we still have to keep the ball rolling. We still have to voice our opinions, we still have to be vocal and let them know that we won't let this trilogy end with the most horrible use of deus ex machina (or diabolus ex machina) since the late 80's. We have to remind them that we can vote with our wallets, that we are worth A LOT of money, and emphasize that we won't take a single new cutscene and be content with it... But that only means that we should keep doing what we're doing right now.
Don't quit, don't go, don't walk out - because the match isn't over yet and it won't be until we see what they've came up with and how much were they willing to let go. This is the long run. If at one point they'll show us a polished turd and say "so, uh, this is it, wanna' taste it?" - then we walk out, and we take all our interest, passion and advertising value with us. But until then - the game is on. Be vocal, let them know what you want, let them know what you won't stand for and react to everything that's happening - just don't burn the bridges yet. Not just yet.
Because right now, it's time to hold the line. As it was yesterday, as it will be tomorrow. This doesn't just end with a vague announcement. This ends with either us winning or everybody loosing.
NOW HOLD THE DAMN LINE, COMMANDERS.
Koobarex out.

NO NEW ENDING
MORE "CLARITY" FOR
NO MORE TRUST IN BIOWARE EVER
http://blog.bioware....3-extended-cut/

Unless this clarity can somehow make the last 10 minutes perfectly logical and connected to the rest of the game I will forever hate BioWare

There is million of exemples but i am just thinking at once right now. Reaper are here to save us from synthecics' by ripping us appart. No sens. Krogan or Rachni for exemple were a threat to other civilization too. To resume mass effect by synthecis/bio conflict is stupid.
Bye bye BW, no hope in u anymore at all. Part of evil empire.

So... we actually won? ME3 Extended Cut? weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I wouldn't call this victory.
Why not? Everything is better then the ending we got right now.
They're probably just gonna add some cinematics to try and explain the plotholes...
But it will not work! We're still going to get the ''O Hai'' Godkid in the ending... As stated in Pirates of the Caribbean... That's not good enough!

What abouth the Geth, and all we had to go through to end the war with the Quarians? What about EDI!?
My Shepard believes all creatures, synthetic or organic, deserves to live....Destruction makes no sense!
Control is bull****! And synthesis...honestly I think if both kinds of living entities coexisted side by side for long enough, then this might be the natural evolution of things. However, it should NOT be imposed upon others by one creature (Starchild/Shepard). let the living live, and whatever will happen, will happen.

Wait until EA's stock price drops, then have another fund raising drive to buy EA stock. Then we have a stockholder's meeting and fire the board.

The tone is wrong in so many ways...
They say they won't change the endings but doesn't say anything about adding to them...perhaps the IT could still be alive?
Such arrogance. I will never buy anything from there, anymore.
