Are you guys serious right now????? I have been with you guys all along saying we needed change, agreed with all the rebillion you guys made and was proud to be apart of this. But seriously??? They release a DLC that is probably going to fix the ending ( WHAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN ASKING FOR) AND also going to give it to us for free???? That is more than we asked for, it is time to give up guys, we won the fight, we held the line, its done, honestly i think you guys now are just being 2 year old brats who think they are entitled to everything and just arguing to do so because you have nothing else to do. Give up, we won, were getting the DLC and it will also be free, now go enjoy a perfect game, stop at the end, and wait for the DLC and stop ****ing here.
Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
- No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
I've been a fan of BioWare since KotOR. I own every game they made since then. I even went back and bought NWN and all it's expansions recently. I became such a fan because of two things 1) I
love the universes, stories, and characters BioWare make and 2) they have always kept their promises. They say they are listening to fans feedback, they listen. They say they'll release a toolkit for one of their games, they release the bloody toolkit. I tell you this so you understand how passionate of a fan of BioWare I was.
On my first playthrough of ME3 I wasn't going for a happy ending, nor was I going for a bittersweet ending. I was going for a pure downer ending. I wanted to see the characters I had come to love die. I wanted to see them go out in glorious last stands and ignoble ambushes. I wanted to see the despair on Shepard's face as her friends were cut down one by one before her very eyes. I wanted to see her resolve falter and hope fade as the allied forces of the galaxy were systematically destroyed. I wanted to hear Harbinger taunt Shepard on her deathbed and see the cycle begin anew.
I wanted to see the Reapers WIN.My second playthrough was to be glorious. I was to unity the galaxy, kick Reaper ***, and finally provide stability to not only the galaxy but a certain psychotic biotic. Sure I would sacrifice, but those sacrifices would be remembered not by scattered, tattered remnants of civilizations but by millions of people working as one force for unity and peace.
Did I get that? No. No, I didn't. Will I get that with this Extended Cut DLC? NO I WILL NOT! So to me, we have not won, we have made progress, yes, but success is still a ways off. All because of that one bullet point. Because BioWare would rather keep their "artistic integrity" over basic integrity and trustworthiness. And you know what? I'll respect their choice because it was their choice. But if they choose artistic integrity over basic integrity they can kiss a fan -and a longtime, passionate one at that- goodbye.
