All I say people lets give them a benefit of a doubt !
I doubt they will just put few cutsceens !!
they will make it worth our while ...
Also Jessica says that shep will survive with some crew etc if you have enough war assets..
All I say you didnt expect this to be that easy did you ?
one month and its done...
If we want to make it count we are keeping battle gear on!!
holding the line !! Campaigning and doing what we have been doing !!!
writing letters to bioware !!!
if we dont make this change no one will!!!
ITS UP TO US !!!
So people no talk of quitting or deleting theiir games !!!
lets see PAX lets campaign what we want !!!
and when it will come out then we see!!
but NOW IT IS IMPORTANT TO STAY FOCUSED AND TOGETHER !!!
HERE ON THE FRONTLINES !!!

No. Bioware holds no credibility with me any more. They do not get the benefit of the doubt.

Didn't we give them the benefit of the doubt already? Twice?

Retake have been walking a tightrope since all this began, now someone is shaking the rope, if we respond in the wrong way then it will have all been for nothing, the press have been our supporters, they can just as easily become our enemies, keep that in mind with your responses.

@Kai Bastion is great imho, and its 14.99 I believe

I also recommend Bastion, Castle Crashers is fun too if you don't already have it

Thanks for the tips, I'll definatly be looking into these and all the games people have been suggesting here~

I'd much rather give my money to a deserving developer over Bioware...

This FAQ says otherwise...

But the FAQ is really ambiguous now that I read it again. Or maybe it's the alcohol, but for example:
Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

That could be understood as that the DLC coming is the only thing we get, but it says nothing about the endings themselves. In a way, Shep waking up and smacking starbrat to it's ethereal ass is expanding on the existing...

It could not be as bad as it probably will be. There's a possibility. Maybe. As long as I don't run out of alcohol. :?

I just want to die with honor and have my comrades drink to my sacrifice! If they kill the jungle scene and replace it with my crew crying but happy on earth sharing a bottle of booze, hell, that would be enough. Everyone else on the damn ship got a memorial epilogue, mordin, thane, miranda. Why the hell shouldn't I as well. If they give me the ending Shepard deserves they will be forgiven, but I didn't think it would be this difficult for them to understand.

Looks like Mass Effect will be the martyr for every company to look back and think twice before making a half assed ending or ignoring their main fanbase. This will go to the history books of game development as "what you shoudn't do with your fans".

keep it civil for what?

up to this point we've always been civil, we always held the other cheek, we were always eloquent and forgiving. but for what?

what did it get us in the end? and by 'end' i pretty much mean 'now'.
they've got us in a corner now. either be happy with their free crap, or really be the whiny and self-entitled brats they paint us as. yes, they are responding, but just with the minimum requirements. anything to just shut us the hell up.

we won't get what we wanted, so how did being civil actually do as any good?
the only good thing about the last few weeks? the charity.

of course they had to respond in some way, because we forced them to. the amazon refund story, all the returned copies at various stores, the mouth to mouth word, the attention from all the game sites, the drop in prices.
we forced them to pay attention to us, they had no other choice but to listen. but they actually decided to go with the minimum. they don't ****ing care. they just want us of their backs.

so what exactly did we achieve, huh? we're not one ****ing step closer to what we actually wanted. and now we're in a corner. now we don't get to say jack squat anymore.

they won. they ****ing tricked us into this damn corner.

yes, i'm angry. but when i'm angry, i also get abusive. and why the hell, can't i be exactly?
i think i've earned every ****ing right to be.

Keep it civil, because we are civilized even if angry.

Bioware did some nasty things lately. Let's not add to this turning us into crazy mob.

WE are worth more than that. We hold the line where nobody before us could.

Just wait until tomorrow and hopefully they will clarify what they intend. I fully expect to be disappointed by a bunch of PR ****** but we may as well see this through to the end.

We're not in a corner and you are not alone in losing your patience. There is one final thing you can do - stop giving EA and BioWare your money. Take it somewhere else, somewhere your custom is valued.

this is me holding the line for the last time. I am retiring from all things bioware I am uninstalling all of their games and origin and never returning to the forums. I beat Mass effect 3 in 3 days after release, I had made sure I used my Mass effect 2 paragon shep I had my renegade shep ready for my second playthrough. Unfortunatly we have lost, we tried, we maintained civil discourse through this and it was all for naught. No admission from bioware that they botched the ending no admission that there were glaring plotholes just pandering and condecending answers. So I quit. I quit the line I quit Mass effect and I quit caring about supporting this company. Goodbye my friends you have been a source of hope and inspiration.

Leaving the Line

No pride to feel,
No waiting country,
No parades to line your way.

Though your hands may bleed,
And your body may lie broken,
Every storm must soon give way.

Raise your head up high,
Raise your head up high,
So the heavens hear you cry.
Light the brightest fire,
From the highest mountain,
So the whole world knows,
That your spirit can't be broken.

The rage you feel,
Will consume you and destroy you,
Let this rage inside you die.

One day you'll find,
The signs in every motion,
Close your eyes so you might see.

I will hold you still,
Every second of every hour,
Let your actions speak your will.

Raise your head up high,
Raise your head up high,
So the heavens hear you cry.
Light the brightest fire,
From the highest mountain,
So the whole world knows,
That your spirit can't be broken.

Give up your fear,
These senseless longings,
Let the pain inside you die.

Raise your head up high,
Raise your head up high,
So the heavens hear you cry.
Light the brightest fire,
From the highest mountain,
So the whole world knows,
That your spirit can't be broken.

Merizan's tweet about an ending where "rebuilding the relays is completely likely" makes me wonder what kind of insane logic Bioware intends to run with on this.

From my perspective, rebuilding the relays is pretty damn far from likely, not matter what the situation.

I'd love to believe that. Unfortunately, Bioware has entirely burned through my trust at this point. And they had a lot of trust from me when this all began. They've had chance after chance to make this right. And they kept not doing that.

If the ending DLC does one thing right, it better undo the mass relay destruction. Would anyone else have been much less pissed if that didn't happen if you had high EMS?

Just remember everyone. I know we're upset and that this isn't what we were hoping for. But the only way to ensure this doesn't happen to the next game franchise that you love is to hold the line. You can not pay a single dollar more to any company that does not deliver the product you were promised. The only way game companies will take the gamers seriously is if we act like responsible consumers. You may be upset now, but that will fade. You have to remain strong even after that feeling passes. Use this as a way to send a message to all game companies. You exist because WE allow it. Not the other way around. Stay strong and always hold the line.

Hi all, been lurking again since my last post (some 500 or so pages ago) every day i still checked this thread for news, still holding the line the whole time

What do I think of Bioware's recent DLC announcement? Well, I can understand the mixed feelings, heck, I'm sceptical myself. What do they mean by 'clarify' and 'artistic vision' ?
I don't know honestly, but im glad to see this movement has managed to make something happen.

I boycotted ME3 about 3 weeks ago, and still am now. which is very sad indeed considering how much i played the previous 2 games in comparison. I want to cling onto any hope that we may have. which for me right now is: Bioware have acknowledged us, and given how well we know they're script writing to be, I'm all up for giving them a second chance. Bioware says that its a company that listens to its fans, and to that i say: if that is the case, then we have nothing to worry about, as they should know full well by now what the fans will and won't accept.

I'd rather not download this dlc and find that it was not at all what the movement was fighting for. Mass effect from that day will be remembered as a near-perfect series that was botched at the last moment. and no one wants Mass effect to be remembered as that :( We love the franchise too much. I myself donated to the charity and wrote a polite letter argueing the points of our case to Bioware. Never before had I done anything like that for a game series I loved before. All to help the Retake ME3 effort.

to everyone feeling like we've lost: do not lose hope. as I've always said: it ain't over till it's over. and it definately ain't over yet. We've still got PAX yet to see the outcome of, and if they do indded do this dlc, then only once i've seen the finished thing for myself will I start seriously making decisions about whether or not Bioware or especially EA, will ever see my money again. (Cause as far as I'm concerned, I'd like to think this is EA's fault)
It may seem bleak, but right now: I'm willing to believe that Bioware will make everything right and end this series on the fine note it deserves: a good, meaningful ending that has a vast array of different variables based on our decisions, that, is ultimately what we have all fought for, and are still fighting for.

So long as one person still remains on this line: This line has not fallen! *Defiantly stands next to the flying UK fleet banner* I for one, do not intend to back down.

hi there,

this is probably my first and last post on this forum, so dont bother quoting me =)
I just want to get rid om some thoughts which ive got sincd finishing me3.
There were only few games which had a minor impact in my life (most games dont have any impact at all).
One of them was the Deus Ex - series and another one was the ME-series. I dont know why it has to be that way but it seems developers and producers always give a **** out the third part of a series. ( I admit in DA it was already the 2nd one^^).

Ive should have known that ME3 is probably a pain in the * in reference to the first and second one. The same thing already happend in Deus Ex (first part - brilliant, second one - well okay i go for it, third one - wtf?) Im very happy about the fact that Kotor(III) was developed as one of those crappy mmos, so they didnt gat the cance to ruin the saga of the first two games for me.

but back to Me3, i supported every movement that was out there in order to change the ending, which wouldnt be enough at all cause the whole game was lazy done, but with a good ending i'd have just overlooked it. I dont read forum threads very often, there is to much misinterpretatio and speculation so i addressed bioware directly and told them about my disappointment. So after waiting a month for some official response from BW they come out whith this crappy statement today, which does it for me.

Betheseda showed that changing an ending isnt that big a deal  and it worked for them, so i cant understand why BW doesnt do it either. (plz dont argue with art and that other nonesense, thats just total bs)

for me the ME-saga ends during the suicidemission with the collectors where that human reaper just stops fireing and we both go having a drink at omega.

so, that felt kind of good

i wish your all a pleasant day

PS: gonna play zork now, at least i know that the third part of the series was as good as the previous two =)

Well, it is not impossible, you know. But it would be very, very hard. With almost every race locked up in Sol with no resources...coming up with new designs and construction yards for a thing so big it ain't gonna be easy

Wow, if you guys actually keep complaining now because you wanted an entirely new ending done (which is really expensive and it almost never happens in fiction) then I might actually start the entitlement stuff a little.
Yes the endings were bad, loads of games/books have bad endings, the main reason the endings were bad in the first place is that they gave you no closure for no reason, if they fix that then you should be content with that.

Also everyone who for whatever reason assumes that these endings will screw over Bioware financially are either deluded or posting out pure impulse.

Honestly, unless they pull off some sort of miracle with what they're planning, EA will not see another red cent from me. Ever.
