Wow, if you guys actually keep complaining now because you wanted an entirely new ending done (which is really expensive and it almost never happens in fiction) then I might actually start the entitlement stuff a little.
Yes the endings were bad, loads of games/books have bad endings, the main reason the endings were bad in the first place is that they gave you no closure for no reason, if they fix that then you should be content with that.

Also everyone who for whatever reason assumes that these endings will screw over Bioware financially are either deluded or posting out pure impulse.

It's not entitlement if we say we are willing to give you money to give us a new ending. That is an offer to engage in further business. Nor is it entitled to say, "I spent $80+ for the CE, I hated the ending and I am goign to withold my money from your company unless you provide a product that I want to buy."
I do agree that wanting new endings FOR FREE is crossing a line into fantasyland but most of us would be willing to PAY for new endings.

We must all just wait and see, they plan to extend our conclusion and that is the only thing that is for certain.
Lets not get ourselves all hot and bothered by anything BW says about the ending... Remember all the stuff they said about the game 6 months ago about what we were going to get...and what we got?
They have our feedback, they listened, and responded (finally) in a moderately positive way. I say moderately because of all the PR crap we had to go through to get an answer.

Meet me at the bar.

At last, I understand the meaning of what we did... At last, I understand the truth behind our courage.

*salutes*

I will hold the line.

Okay, everybody here needs to calm down. Me included. Our... excitement was one of the reason this was released the day before PAX - so we can say things we will regret, insult BioWare's guys... and let them have a reason to call us whiny brats to press - and for journalists to launch at the movement with new aggressive force.

Why wasn't it released before? Because we'd have calmed down, reached consensus - so to speak - before PAX, and once again would be standing strond and together, civil and vocal.

Jennifer Hale wasn't contacted about any DLCs yet, so, basically, either this "Extension" will not include femShep or they are just outlining what to do - it's a long way to summer! And extension? Would it really need that much time? Time will show.

And we should not let pressure get down this time.
Show them that we will NOT simply disappear over time.

Or the reason they havent contacted her is because the "Extended Ending aka Extending" will be a few screens here and there saying what happened to races and some cinematics fixing the plot holes of normandy, squad mates and space magic. There wont be anything playable inside it.They say its a Free DLC i say its just a patch.

Merizan's tweet about an ending where "rebuilding the relays is completely likely" makes me wonder what kind of insane logic Bioware intends to run with on this.

From my perspective, rebuilding the relays is pretty damn far from likely, not matter what the situation.

Well, it is not impossible, you know. But it would be very, very hard. With almost every race locked up in Earth with no resources...coming up with new designs and construction yards for a thing so big it ain't gonna be easy

Surely most of the resources have been used on the Crucible?  It was pretty clear to me (Although I don't understand the ending, and have been told repeatedly this makes me an idiot so... you know, maybe I am missing something here) that the Crucible is going to take up a f*ckton of resources and every single thing you find - minerals, materials, soldiers, engineers etc. - is going towards this thing.  Don't you need a crapton of Ezo to make a Mass Relay, at the very least? Where's that coming from in the Sol System??

You have a point. They could harvest some Ezo from FTL drives  from ships but...they couldn't go anywhere once the acceleration sequence created by a relay is done

Exactly! Man, I can't wait to see how they explain all these rot they sold us!

That's a bittersweet ending right there. What would you say of us? You know us well enough to decide.

not a bad idea.

to everyone that quoted my last post, i'm sorry. i'm currently just quite frustrated. and angry. and disappointed. 'crushed' may be a better word. everyone here convinced me to have some hope.. and now this.

*read my sig*  the anger is starting to subside, the troops are rallying, this is not the end. we can not colapse at the first sign of a fight back we must hold the line

first time posting here...

For now we should be happy that they'll be releasing something... We just wait and see for ourselves what kind of DLC this one will be... I'm happy with BW for now, but will only have an opinion about the DLC when it comes out...

I understand why almost everyone is afraid of what will comes next, I'm afraid too. I could only accept the ME3 original ending when I saw the indocrination theory, but I'm inclined to wait for the DLC to judge BW actions

Just my opinion anyway... don't judge me, you don't have to accept what I said...

don't know if I wrote everything right... sorry bout that.

But what I'm trying to say is: calm down people, be respectful and don't jump to conclusions just yet. Wait and see

I'm thinking about quit with Mass Effect too. :crying: It was my favourite game series.
I've lost my love to the all games. Since end of ME3 I didn't play in anything more than few minutes.
I think I'm going to start read more. :? Maybe it's for the best.
One thing is sure - I'm done with Bioware games.

Don't leave.

Stay...

I'm not going anywhere... yet. I'm waiting for PAX. ;)

While changing the whole ending was generally viewed as the best outcome in a perfect world, most people realized it was unlikely. However much more doable would be to add a couple new endings. You know... so there's more than one. Barring that, some post ending dlc retconning like Fallout 3 did. The release today more or less shot down both options. I don't think its entitled or unreasonable to be upset about that, but you're obviously welcome to your opinion yadda yadda.

Someone here already came with that idea.
It would be called "Dragon Fail Mass Deffect"

I have been around the movement since page 600 or so. This is probably the most we are going to get out of EA/Bioware as far as the endings go. I am in a holding pattern right now, waiting to see what they did. If they didn't get it right or even close, then I will judge ME3, and Bioware, accordingly.

EA cannot allow BW to point to them as a reason for ME3's ending being bad, they can't admit any fault, they can't give in much since they are already suffering in the PR department. Don't expect anything else. Take a deep breath and leave an open mind for the DLC. If it is still broken, proceed to mourning and acceptance stages, because it won't change any more.

And that's the kind of thing that's going to bring Retake down, by association.

My dear 007, we are down. No matter what the DLC is like we are not getting most (is any) of what we requested. Anger is understandable, and to a certain extent, perfectly ok. Especially if it's verbal and limited to forums.

I for one am sad to admit I believe our work was for naught and that it is in fact over. Hope I'm wrong.
