@DerrickLAFilm it is true that no one starves etc. All that is already implied in the current end. DLC will clarify.
Really? It was implied? I must be a ****ing idiot, cause I didn't get that implication, at all....
Or maybe Your soul is not artistic enough to understand this sophisticated hint, that crew won't starve since they've got tons of wierd plants all over crash site? <_< After a few weeks of explosive diarrhea the crew will be just fine...

A bad ending can make a great series fade into obscurity. I hope this isn't the fate of mass effect.

Wow. Well played Bioware. The naysayers that were anti-Retake are now heralding that "you won. stop complaining." And because the DLC will be free, we will really look "whiny and entitled" if we retort that we're still not happy. *sigh*
I'll continue holding the line with you all, but I fear we've been outsmarted. :-/

My question is: how do we access this DLC? I dont want to play the Cerberus and End Mission over again to see these images.

That could work. Except then no amount of space magic is gonna save Mr. Vakarrian from the airlock if my Shep is indeed alive
Yep, this is for Shepard and Mass Effect.chosen_trekie wrote...
I know things don't look good right now, but ask yourselfs. what would Shepard do? Shepard wouldn't give up and neither should we. We must hold the line.

Okay, time for the really long post I've been thinking up since this morning:
First off. Once again, you people are crazy.. in an awesome kind of way.. I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather hold the line with.
Secondly. Stop.
Seriously.. just stop... that's right, take a second, take a break, step back from the line, take a look at what we've done.
You have scared Electronic Arts... the largest gaming conglomerate on the -planet-. The ones who have frogwalked entire awesome companies to their graves.. You have forced them to rethink future plans. You've made them accelerate plans to try to consolidate their supply/retail chain.
They want you to buy stuff from Origin. They want you to stop buying from Gamestop but not now.. because Gamestop is 15% of their gross annual revenue. We have enough people they are concerned about SECURITY at PAX.. the largest gaming convention in Boston. They're concerned about revenue, sales, enough that they told Bioware to fix it, and their co-founder made a public statement that they would.
If you want to hurt them, don't buy from Origin, don't buy from them.
I'll explain what I'm going to be doing now. I won't be preordering from Bioware again. I have preordered one game from Maxis, Simcity 5. I won't be buying any DLC from Electronic Arts until I've played this DLC. Should this DLC satisfy me, and really this is what I asked for... I would have liked the Indoctrination Theory endings... Those are pretty much the full Bioware loves me ending.. but if Bioware just gives me some ending cutscenes then they still gave me what I asked for... I'm not happy with the response, or the, frankly, false statements from some of the producers over the ending during prerelease interviews.
Due to those and the response from the media I will not be viewing IGN, or preordering Bioware games/EA games in the future. My compromise is I'm not full out boycotting them, and Gamestop to force them to change the endings... though if I have any derogatory statements towards the community I may still end up going that route.
I will download the ending DLC.. I will not complain about the ending unless it destroys the continuity even further. I'm HOPING, and it's a slim hope, that they'll be giving the indoctrination theory as an alternate path in the ending.. it's an extended cut as they call it.. well extended cuts can change the ending, we've seen it in movies.. so all hope is not lost at this point. I will NOT purchase another EA product UNTIL I have downloaded the DLC.. this means no more Sims 3 downloads.. I will not be renewing my SWTOR subscription until I've got the DLC in my hands. This is my way of saying "Bioware I don't trust your business management any longer". They can earn that trust back but they've lost it through various actions this past month.
I encourage you all to check in regularly. Let them know you disagree with their position, they still can change things you know.. they've announced a very vague ending at this point.. so they could still add a LOT of options and even gameplay to the ending.. it's free, costs them to distribute, costs us nothing to play it.
Above all, stay civil.. Freaking out, threatening people, that's the last thing to do at this point as it'll just show the world that we're not going to be happy regardless.. we WILL be happy, we'll remain civil customers, we will have our voices heard, and we'll keep pressing until we have 100% satisfaction. If this were GM, this dealership would have lost its Certification already with all the people not "Completely Satisfied" with their service. Don't let them pressure you into compromise if you don't want it.. but if you do, don't be afraid to at least admit it and be happy with what you've got.
Hold the line, I know I will be,
Computim out.
One of the plans on the drawing board was to have the Illusive Man turn into a Reaper creature for the final battle. Eventually, this plan was scrapped, since we wanted to give players the satisfaction of fighting a character they know rather than a random creature.
