I just don't understand what kind of consequences some people are willing to have. Because it's obviously not the ones that happen here.

What we really need is a official response to this issue from Bioware on the spoiler forum. Either confirm the situation is as it appears or confirm there is some way to get a "good" ending. Either way, it'll shutdown the speculation.

Why would they do that? They like to watch us suffer.

Sigh. Like I said, the fact that there are plot holes is the reason that the endings are not satisfying. Is that so hard to understand? It is not a matter of opinion. Are you suggesting I have to play it myself before I can say there are plotholes even though the game has been revealed in its entirety to the both of us? You are in denial

In its entirety? When did that happen? Someone posted a walkthrough video of all possible imports/choices/consequences while I was asleep?

As far as I know, we have
1) Leaked videos confirming the general theme of the endings
2) A leaked script that's already been shown to be altered (if not necessarily for the best)
3) Conjecture and opinions from the people who leaked the stuff.

Nowhere have I seen a complete walkthrough...much less multiple ones accounting for all the possibilities and listing off all the conversations and cutscenes along with every bit of information we get.

I think Q&A directly with people who have the game and have completed it multiple times and uploaded requested images and video right at time of request counts as all the info I need to know where some of the plot holes are. The end part of the game has nothing to do with imported choices

No...no it actually doesn't.

Well, maybe for you, but not for me. I'd prefer to actually have experienced how the game explains things before I make assumptions based off of the opinion of others, regardless of if they have played the game or not.

I'm perfectly fine with people not liking the endings. Even fine with people thinking that ME3 deserved at least one happy ending. I can sort of agree with that.

But people on BSN (as usual) are claiming things that are just not based in facts but in hearsay. Until you've accounted for all the information that is acquired in the game, your supposed "fact" that there are huge plotholes is invalid.

Not to mention that leaker sources keep contradicting themselves when it comes to details.

They like making money more, since they're a business and that's what businesses do.

Confirming the endings would only cause more anger.

If they confirmed there are better endings, it would help them make money, but it seems as there isn't.

I'm not here to convince anyone. The simple fact is the stuff that is true now, will be true next Tuesday when we all(or a bunch of us anyway) have the game. If someone is telling me something that happened directly, it is not an opinion. Do you need the definition of an opinion?

I have never been an advocate for a "happy" ending or whatever you guys keep going on about; just one that is cohesive and satisfying. Stay in denial all you want, but you know the saying, if it looks like something, smells like it, tastes like it etc... its probably is.

Exactly. If there were any other endings besides these three and their permutations, we'd already know.

No one here does. Because we lack the context of the endings. We don't know the conversation that goes on before the choice. We don't know everything we find out before that.

Which is why I am annoyed with people who say that's a huge plothole....they just can't know that yet. For all we know, there could be a perfectly valid explanation (Relays are not "destroyed" by force but "self-destruct" after activation in a controlled manner) OR the whiners might be right and there ARE plotholes.

Fact is, we don't know.

Plot hole or not, the game always ends with the destruction of the mass relays, and with them the galactic community.

And that sucks.

You're having trouble understanding why I am disagreeing with your verdict as of right now. That's fine. But I'm too sick and too tired to elaborate further.

You might be right that there are plotholes. You might be wrong.

We don't know until we have all the facts. And not just random screens, cut-off videos and hearsay. That's like saying you read 20 pages out of a 500 page novel and your pal told you there are plotholes in the book. Sure you are going to believe your pal...but that doesn't make it fact to anyone else until it is proven.

So what exactly are they asking for??

Lots of different things - including but not limited too;

An explanation for what the Normandy is doing all the way out in the middle of nowhere AND some clarification on if they're stranded (Normandy looks pretty trashed).

How the galaxy is going to survive and prosper after a devastating conflict and now cut off and isolated from each other.

What were the point of choices and sacrifices if the outcomes appear to be very similar in their play outs and indeed if the war asset level actually does anything beyond Earth Trashed / Earth Ok.

Some better indiciation of who lives / dies and what they're doing after the war.

Well I'm sure they won't find this out through some videos and might actually have to wait for the game to come out and either wait to see the whole game, or play it themselves.

They're not explained in the game - there is no indication any of this is going to happen through the game either.

Its very much a case of - crash, bang, here is the ending (singular). With the outcome left to the player imagination - not covered in any capacity.

The knowledge out there is not one person, or a couple of videos, its from a few different sources, one of which is a player of the space edition, and although the game guide is vague - it does lean towards confirmation, and of course prior knowledge obtained through the leak - plus the extracted videos / images do offer evidence.

There isn't just some random guessing here - there is a lot, a crazy amount of evidence confirming it.

Galactic community as is is based on a technology that manipulated them into weakness so they could be harvested. Having them independent and growing on their own might make them stronger in the future when they meet again.

Alright, we get it. You don't like having no Relays, but for heaven's sake, you are acting as thought beating the Reapers and keeping many, many civilizations alive and able to rebuild is nothing.

What does context matter if your crew is stranded on some God forsaken planet with strong hints of inbreeding as the good choice? Yeah, right, explain that to me! Like my choices mattered, sure thay did - not in this universe.

Mh. Y'know, when Drew Karpyshyn said he wasn't going to write any more game stories to "concentrate on books" it struck me as odd. Now, with these leaks I'm not sure if the ME3 ending and his withdrawal from games may have something to do with each other.

Still, I'll form an opinion of my own once March 9th rolls around.

That doesn't really fly since the Reapers are no longer an issue by the end of the game(no matter what).

And it's not that it's nothing, it's that it's very unsatisfying in that the trilogy ends with the game's interesting world being ripped apart(no matter what).

And do you also believe the penis enlargement pill adds in your friggin spam-box?

My apologies if I don't take the word of forum posters for gospel.

Look, I don't know why I am even dealing with this. I am perfectly fine with the endings. I also understand why a lot of people aren't. i have no beef with you. Be miserable all you want, you have every right to be.

For me, it is a clear case of, I need to experience the game myself to make a judgement on how big/if there are plotholes. If you are satisfied with some video clips and some anonymous dude on the web, that's fine by me.

Why doesn't it fly? Can they not rebuild without Reapers? o.O

Tabula Rasa and all that. Ugh, I'm getting tired. Like I said before, do be disappointed. I get it. I sympathise. I prefer to look at things differently.
