I'm gonna check out this DLC when it comes out, but my reaction to their announcement today was disappointment and I felt more depressed than I did when I woke up this morning. I'm glad to see it's going to be free, but since it's expanding on a failure of an ending, I have very little hope. The little hope I have will keep me around until the release, but if it makes no impact on me, I'm done.
Whaddya think of them releasing it in the summer? Does that mean that they were caught off-gaurd and thought we would adore these endings? That the sixteen different endings do not exist?<_<

This is ALL PR nonsense. To try to calm the fans before PAX.
I think it is outrageous and a massive slap in the face.
The fact that they say they will not be discussing the ending so ME at all at PAX is really inexcusable.
WHY CAN'T THEY?!! What are they the CIA unable to disclose information vital to the security of the homeland.
Oh yea they don't care about the fans they don't want to really appeal to them. They feel like they are being forced to do this because they would lose so much business if they did nothing.
They believe that they will make an ending that will stop them from losing future revenue and silence the movement. That is all they care about, the bottom line. Not appealing to the fans, not creating good content.
They are ruled by their outrageous ego's which they call Artistic Integrity. Which makes them so absurdly arrogant they can't admit that they were WRONG. Pathetic and arrogant. If they don't CHANGE the ending, they don't deserve to survive.
Remember they have yet to admit ANY fault with regards to the ending. They have stuck to the line that it is just their "most passionate" fans that don't get it. Seriously every time I hear this I feel like their saying, some of our stupid fans who we need to make money don't get the ending so we'll give them some throw away BS cutscense to shut them up, then take more of their money with pre-ending DLC that we'll release before the ending DLC.
Bioware if you do not CHANGE the ending I say goodbye and good riddance. If you grow a pair and have the guts to admit your mistake and change the ending, I will have a new found respect for the company.
It is much harder to admit your wrong, then to claim that you are right.
Final note. Why should we believe any of the information coming from anyone who works for or is associated with Bioware. They have constantly lied and misrepresented ME3 and have been nothing but condescending and to a degree offensive with their lately of the fans who are demanding a change. Why would they start being honest now?
Do not yield, do not accept this clarification artistic integrity, ego driven, BS. HOLD THE LINE

I really dont see how they can expand the ending. I could see how they could alter it by making your crew not flee and showing an epilogue of what happened to everyone in that scenario. But honestly, I really dont see where they go from here. "oh look at joker and EDI picking some fruit on their tropical dream moon"
lol, that just reminded me of Virtual Villagers. Go pick the berries little villager

What would an ending epilogue (what 10 minutes of extended cinematics with little to no gameplay?) do to answer all the gaping plotholes left by that complete and utter failure of an ending? Why did so many fans spend so much time outlining these issues if nobody was going to actually pay attention? Where was BW getting their information about why people hated the endings? Certainly not on the forums. What's worse...they likely just ignored our real complaints all along to save their "artistic integrity". I can't believe this company. What really sucks is that anyone who isn't a fan and/or hasn't been following this franchise for the last five years, waited anxiously for the release of every game, every dlc, every announcement has no earthly idea about the real issues at hand,
But I know, and you know...and I'm more than willing to bet BW knows.
So thanks BW - for throwing us under the bus - one last time.
And you guys and gals, you are all wonderful people who deserved so much better. I wont be watching PAX tomorrow or keeping up to the minute news. I no longer care. But I do care about ya'll so I'll continue to hold the line with you and will likely check back tomorrow night to see how you are doing.

Hm, one of my favorite authors wrote this sentence:
A story has been thought through to the end when it has taken the worst possible turn.
I dunno if I agree.
Maybe in the second arc/ book. You can't have a victory without a loss/ sacrifice.
But to end it that way, in some cases can be bold or surprising IF done right and in a way that fits and makes sense.
If it however takes a turn where characters are doing things they'd never do and make decisions that would not even remotely be considered an option, then it needs to be thought through again.

*offers a hug*. We're not going anywhere. I'm not buying anything from EA until the DLC comes out and then I'm making a decision. Hoping losing out on nearly $500 from just me for the next few months of releases/DLC (Kingdoms of Amalur DLC, ME3 DLC, SWTOR subscription, Sims3 DLC) will help contribute to this..
