This right there, paired with the Artistic Integrity argument really reignited my urge to hold the Line again.

First I was cautiously optimistic after I read the Press Release. Despite knowing that I should not expect much after all thats happened until today, I wanted to give BioWare the benefit of doubt again. Most Press Releases simply were not perfectly worded and I decided to wait until the PAX commentary. (I mean this is BioWare, the Company that provided me with exactly what I expected and wanted from them up until a few weeks ago. They deserve some time to come up with a Solution.)

Then I saw the Blogpost, stating that the "Endings" will be expanded upon in summer. While we certainly asked for more closure to the end of Shepards and his crews journey, I have a hard time swallowing this adding more clarification notion.

If this was all thats wrong, If we were really just missing the genius embedded in these endings then why did they make us wait? Why not make a Blogpost explaining the Intention of the ending and then taking feedback if more Clarification would be needed? It seems to me like our comments made it clear to BioWare that the Ending failed to convey what they intended it to convey.

The problems overshadowing even this are the fact that the main points of the ReTake Movement (being the lack of Choice and the [imo] tonal shift to name only two) are not even commented on and that the made us wait a month only to tell us that we should wait a few more month's without sharing anything that would show that our gripes with the ending are taken note off.

Frankly I am sick and tired of playing the waiting Game. I gave Bioware the benefit of doubt after DA2 (which I actually enjoyed even though it had some glaring flaws). I cautiously believed the Press Statements they made, because ME2 had shown me that they do listen to our opinions (for the most part). Then came the "Deception" debacle, where Artistic Integrity was shoved aside because they admitted that the gripes of the fanbase were warrented. This in turn led me to wait for todays statement.

This statement (as argued above) devastated me. We got no information if our concerns beyond the added conclusion would even be recognized.
I am now supposed to wait a few more months for additions to an ending that failed to make sense OR convey its intended message? The same Ending that was ripped apart left and right on these forums and other sites by hundreds of comments and reviews?

On what basis?

Goodwill? Again?

Not because you gave me much incentive too, but because I still fondly remember the hours I spend enjoying your games.

You know maybe instead of being depressed about this you said take this time to branch out. Bioware is not the only gaming Company out there that make a good story and something that is entertaining.  This is a lesson that Bioware is going to learn the hard way...  oh how humpty dumpty is going to fall.

Actually I was the same way.  (and still am to a degree) When I finished Mass Effect after the shock wore off, All I could think about was how much of my life I WASTED playing this game (and by extension other games), how much thought and emotion I put into this.  And how there was absolutely no payoff whatsoever.  It made me seriously consider if I wanted to continue to game at all.

well, call me stupid but i am ATM indulging in whiskey (i am considering wasting myself because they royally ruined a good day - got my driving license today (test was yesterday), after screwing myself over in the driving-test the first time (and having the same test-administrator the second time, which counted me out from the start....bah that person is almost as vile as bioware seems to have become, which is really repulsive...sorry, but they are like the smelly owner of a bar with dirty dishes and glases who is rude to his customers and then asks them why they do no longer come to his bar))

i can not understand them (i am talking of EA), they buy promising game-studios and then they manage to butcher everything they have build up (thus the studios become effectively worthless, as what is important about them is their name, the brands they have created and established on the market and lastly the people working there and they destroy all that: the brands by producing sub-standard games under the brand (command and conquer!!!), the people by restricting them and stifling creativity by giving them less time then needed and not enough funding etc. as for the name, well the name of the studio suffers when the brands and the people working there do.)) and the only thing this does for EA is making sure that no innovative new ideas can be created (maybe that is what they want, in order to sell their crap....hell, say what you want about Activision-Blizzard, but they are not like this and they do not cheat their customers as well!)

Speculative.  How do you know they won't make them make sense?  You're guilty of the thing that originally sparked the outrage; an ending without explanation that produces speculation.  Until we know the explanation they will provide, you can't say that your complaint of not getting an ending that makes sense wasn't met.  Whether or not you will LIKE the explanation... well that is a very different story.  Let's act with dignity and wait and see.  Until we have enough knowledge of what they're providing to have legitimate complaints, we should keep ourselves from jumping to conclusions.

I think I'll just go back to playing Neverwinter Nights 1&2, the Fallout series, and waiting on Resident Evil 6 and Assassins Creed 3... *sigh* Where did the company that we used to know go? What happened to them when EA bought them? When did they care more about their "art" and less about their fans, who are the sole reason why they even were bought by EA, because they had two really big series that would garner EA so much money...

I'd like to see those going to PAX ask exactly what is planned for this 'clarification' DLC. No dodging the issue, no 'we're keeping it secret'...word for word what is going to occur in the DLC. I don't care if it turns out to be what was needed and this 'ruins' it for me, I want to know well in advance so that I can determine wether or not I'm going to be paying anymore money to EA and Bioware.

Again, I stress...-exactly- what is going into the DLC.
