Speculative.  How do you know they won't make them make sense?  You're guilty of the thing that originally sparked the outrage; an ending without explanation that produces speculation.  Until we know the explanation they will provide, you can't say that your complaint of not getting an ending that makes sense wasn't met.  Whether or not you will LIKE the explanation... well that is a very different story.  Let's act with dignity and wait and see.  Until we have enough knowledge of what they're providing to have legitimate complaints, we should keep ourselves from jumping to conclusions.

From a literary stand point, the ending is screwed. You do not start another plot in the last few mins of a story. Not when it is meant to end a series completely.

As for making sense...seriously? How could the current endings make sense?

They will just slap on more vids about people surviving, but starchild is still there. Randomly teleporting squadmates are still there (and if they had the time to get picked up, then Shepard would have had more time to find another option to end it). Now, unless they admit that there is actual space magic, they won't be able to make sense out of the ending they have now.

Guess if there is space magic, least we know how the world Dragon Age exists in was started :wizard:

You know until today my attitude was Mass Effect 3 was a bad game (taken as a whole) and that I should be more careful about BW games in the future. So I pledged to myself that I would never pre order again and wait for reliable reviews before buying Dragon Age 3.

But after weeks of we're listening and you need to trust us, only to land on THIS. My attitude has shifted to a more bitter tone; how can I hurt Bioware like they continue to hurt me?

You guys realize that your complaints are speculative?

We asked for new endings that made sense. Which they have completely ignored. Therefor, our complaints are fully in-line with what we have wanted all along. Unlike the ME3 ending, we can stay on course for the entirety of our "story".

I am with you, but their comments on what will be in the ending raises a lot of flags. The fact of the matter is if we don't tell them what we think we may just get a turd with a different color. We should wait and see while voicing our feelings on the subject.

I spent the morning having to pick ants out of my cereal before I could eat it, which about sums up the state of everything right now.

Will be waiting patiently until the end.

No - this is not EA fault ... Dice was bought by EA and they still did a good job with Battlefield 3.

Stop letting BIoware off the hook - EA did nothing to Bioware that Bioware did not let happen.

Blizzard is clear example Activison tried to pressure them into release SC 2  early... they said ...No we will release when ready and not  before.

Bioware could have done the same thing.. They did not.... Their arrogance and pride. thinking the we their fans would  eat any little thing they  released. The signs were there  back in DA 2 and I like the game but it was flawed. They reacted the same way - when people  level critism against it.   2 Different teams same reaction... It has nothing to do with EA... its Bioware that is the problem and has been.  We have been to blinded by love and fan adoration to notice.

The only problem with the wait and see approach is that it's going to take months.

What they need to do is tell us, right now, exactly what they're doing with the director's cut dlc.  Exactly everything, leaving nothing out.

"Bioware hates you" Heck I've known that since DA:2.When enough people smack you in the head and tell you something is wrong about the way you are doing your job.You should step back and take a look. Not scream "Artistic Integrity" as you jump off the cliff with no parachute.

Somewhere CD Projekt devs and Bethesda are smiling, their arms wide open saying "welcome". This is going to be a huge boost for them. They're going to acquire new players who could potentially be their hardcore fan base.

After Easter weekend, I'm going to sell ME3 then use the money to buy Witcher 2. Then I'm going to try learning the Creation kit for Skyrim.

And Blizzard.. I wonder how many people are going to go back to WoW now that they've seen how much Bioware cares for their community.

you scare me...i was just back playing WOW again (on a 10-day free trial) and i am really considering it - not really for the game (also i still like it...i do not love it anymore, because they kind of messed it up in some ways with cataclysm), but more for the people (my guild even still exists...got the leader-position back, too because i left them the guild bank (which was for most part my private storage, because you can access it from everyone of your characters if they are in the same guild) that i financed and filled))....i do not really want to go back, because wow consumes so much time if you really want to see everything...<_<

well i hope guild wars 2 comes out fast (or something else that is really good)

The "wait and see" approach is what they want. If people start to relax and go silent, they wont get as much bad press. Also, if people do, they might be more accepting of the crap they will try to feed us.

Pretty much, they are trying to play us again. Think about it. They want us to wait months to get it, and wont let people talk about it at PAX...they want things to get quiet again.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I plan on making as much noise as possible. Plus, I plan to continue funding BioWares competitors...because hey, they still listen.

I'd like to see those going to PAX ask exactly what is planned for this 'clarification' DLC. No dodging the issue, no 'we're keeping it secret'...word for word what is going to occur in the DLC. I don't care if it turns out to be what was needed and this 'ruins' it for me, I want to know well in advance so that I can determine wether or not I'm going to be paying anymore money to EA and Bioware.

Again, I stress...-exactly- what is going into the DLC.

I'm not holding out much hope anymore, but...

Thats why they won't tell you. They're banking on the news calming us and keeping false hope alive. They're hoping by Summer RT3 will have died and been forgotten enough that the rage will be manageable. Telling us now and killing the false hope while they're in the spotlight would be a bad move for them.

Although I do agree with you. I'm tired of BW channeling Umbrella Corp or 3D Realms and acting like everything is a state secret.

There's a lot more history than you're touching on there regarding EA and the endings.  EA's fiscal year end was march 31st, which is why the game was pushed out and not delayed again.  So right off the bat EA's just as much at fault as Bioware.

EA is just as much at fault for continuing a pattern of behaviour regarding releases despite their customers regularly disapproving.  If they didn't create a culture where executives are incentivized to push out games as often as possible and meet deadlines, not based on valid milestones of production, but on investor relations, the subsidiaries wouldn't continue to run into these problems.  Yes Bioware is at fault for pushing the game out before it was ready, but EA is at fault having the management structure that rewards quantity over quality.

Agreed 100%. We need actual information, now. No more silence. No more PR bafflegab. We've put up with that for a month. Put your cards on the table, Bioware - all of them - or we walk.

@Agiyosi & Darkspazztic: thx for those nice words :( I know that in life s*** happens, I just didn't expect it to come from the one place that I used to look for fun O.o' I really envy LadyMarisa on her mental fortitude, still being able to find joy in video gaming. The thing is my other favourite game happens to be BG2 TOB and I'm dreading the Logo popping up at the beginning of the game. Reminding me too just a little too much of you-know-what game that's ending has brought us together here >.<
Right now I just feel the need to get an e-hug.. And offer hugs to those who needs them too.. *_*

if you find the answer to that one (i can tell you though, it is not at the bottom of a glas ^^), please send me a PM!

And yeah, i think it was a "bad" (read: not all that good) game, too (we were to disconnected from the reaper fight (most of the fighting was Cerberus *shakes his head* and we didn't see our assets come into play or take command!)

I don't know how they could make it make sense, and evidently, neither do you.  Does that mean that they don't know how?  Your position is purely one of arrogance.  Wait for their explanation, then see.

Yep, they lost me. I'm still in this fight, but until they actually listen to what we are saying, I'm not spending another cent on an EA product.

Maybe the extended edition will change my mind, but I highly doubt it. You can't put salt on a pile of garbage and expect me to like it.

I agree.  I'm not bothering to buy anything from Bioware/EA until the ending doesn't suck.  And if the ending will always suck, then i'm not bothering to buy anything from Bioware/EA.  And this is from someone who preordered EVERY Bioware product since ME1 and bought every bit of DLC for all those games.

The endings are terrible.  I doubt that additional cutscenes will improve it.

I can't think of a game that I've played where the ending so unbelievably HORRIBLE.
