So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Lol - yeah, right, everybody is wrong. You forgot rainbows, puppies, and butterflies. Interestingly enough BW could put an immediate stop to this themselves by just saying play the game and you will not be disappointed. BW would make millions more within days - THAT is in their own best interest!Sia_Sinblade wrote...

No one here does. Because we lack the context of the endings. We don't know the conversation that goes on before the choice. We don't know everything we find out before that.
Which is why I am annoyed with people who say that's a huge plothole....they just can't know that yet. For all we know, there could be a perfectly valid explanation (Relays are not "destroyed" by force but "self-destruct" after activation in a controlled manner) OR the whiners might be right and there ARE plotholes.
Fact is, we don't know.
I don't know about you, but I know why. Context and all as someone who has a copy and is playing it now as we speak told me
And do you also believe the penis enlargement pill adds in your friggin spam-box?
My apologies if I don't take the word of forum posters for gospel.
Look, I don't know why I am even dealing with this. I am perfectly fine with the endings. I also understand why a lot of people aren't. i have no beef with you. Be miserable all you want, you have every right to be.
For me, it is a clear case of, I need to experience the game myself to make a judgement on how big/if there are plotholes. If you are satisfied with some video clips and some anonymous dude on the web, that's fine by me.

WTF are you talking about? Rainbows and butterflies? EVERYbody is wrong?
I never said that once. I listed the sources we have and concluded that those sources are not enough (for me) to claim that the endings are not explained well enough in the game.
I do not doubt the endings existance. I don't even think there are other "hidden" ones. Read the frigging posts before making silly comebacks, how about that?
P.S.: They have been saying that on Twitter and other Social Feeds. It's PR at its finest and if you believe for a second that them posting it here would make any sort of difference you are just deluded.

Six or seven endings all virtually the same? Heck, BW had only TWO endings to deliver - one, your decisions mattered and Sheppard get a chance at life with his crew. And two - if you didn't do all the quests then you get the ugly ending. Jeez how difficult is that?
This!

Good to know you have your opinion all figured out.
I'll be glad to share mine when I have a similar state of satisfactory evidence. Which I will gather by playing the game. If by the end of it, I see unsatisfying plot holes, I'll be suitably disappointed, don't worry.

You know, destroying the MRs is quite logical IMO. Reapers are an ancient race of very advanced machines...even one of them can easily take out a dreadnought...if we can't defeat them, then we should cut them off. Also even if we did defeat them...no sane race or machine will send all their forces to squash ants, they'll only send small numbers...thus there might be millions more reapers waiting to invade if the first group fails. But what is bugging me is that you only need to destroy the citadel to disable the relay they come from...why would we disable all the damn relays?
Yeah, it makes perfect sense.

Dragon Age 3's a different department so I wouldn't use this to compare the success of the other, although DA II wasn't so good.

You already have your confirmation from their silence and the fact that this thread is not closed.dizzymonkey_bio wrote...
What we really need is a official response to this issue from Bioware on the spoiler forum. Either confirm the situation is as it appears or confirm there is some way to get a "good" ending. Either way, it'll shutdown the speculation.
Not having played the game, I am hesitant to bet a months paycheck on the reported endings being the only options. This isn't the first time a game has been mined and incorrect data has been reported. I am not disputing what the early players reported - only stating that its a very small data set and I won't bet the farm that there is nothing else up Bioware's sleeve.
Hell, maybe it's a joke on their part knowing the space editions would be conversation topics pre-release (and an attempt to generate controversy) and a 0 day patch will add in another ending. I really really don't think it's likely that there are other endings but I don't know for sure cause Bioware has been silent on the matter.
If anything, their silence indicates to me that there is internal conversation going on regarding "how the f*** do we fix this?" or there is something else up their sleeve they are holding back (the first option is more likely). From what I have seen, the moderators have not been shy with putting a cork in questions that have black and white answers. Given that, I have to ask "why not now?".
If they comment then they can put the issue to bed.
In regards to hurting sales if they confirm - I don't agree really. The rumor mill is always more damaging than controlled fire fighting (put a positive sping on the endings with justification as to why the endings are "satisfying" like they said) on the part of a business. If they let the rumor mill run wild for the next 5 days then alot more harm will be done. Given how active this topic is already, this issue is poised to spiral if they don't get a handle on it versus letting the community fill in the gaps.

Okay, but what I'm saying is that there should be an ending, at the end of the game, where Shepard totally fails and the Reapers win.
Maybe have Shep leave some sort of "ME1 Prothean beacon"-type warning to the next galactic cycle, leaving a slight glimmer of hope that they'll succeed and it was all worth it.
