So we can't get the ending we want after all?

I already said I won't buy any more games from BW or EA if this DLC isn't what we are hoping for, but as for the announcement, I will wait until tomorrow to see if they'll say anything about it, to see if it's even worth waiting for it, if not, well...
Anyway, does anyone know what time PAX starts?

It's a lot more than that, as the Normandy would have been extremely pressed for time to get away from the Solar System with the crew you had on the ground. Taking into consideration the comm chatter you hear, Shepard wasn't out for more than a split second and they're already gone. Within the next 15 minutes or so, they have to find a shuttle or find just the right spot for the Normandy to hover, then clear the battle and enter the relay.
The odds of them escaping in that amount of time, (their shuttle is down and Harbinger is on the lookout), are phenominal.
*Sigh* it just keeps getting better and better doesn't it? Jokers good, but landing in front of Harbinger good? Without incident? Then he becomes a god. You are right it's way more than just abandonment.
1) After Shepard came to his/ her senses he would look to see the status of the crew. Let me use a real life example when someone is in an accident their first instinct/ priority is to check one anyone in the car with them. Not to push forward to look for assistance. Same with Shep
2) as you mentioned it would be stupid suicide to try to land in front of a Reapear when no one is there to watch your back to get the crew out.
3) another thing you mentioned was time. All this pick up and go stuff happened awfully fast. Not to mention the first thing that would be asked is " where the hell is Shepard"? Then I figured those two injured squaddies would sit in medbay ( despite protests) to be patched, while another group would go and look for Shep.
Speaking of injured squad mates.... For people who were down there with you when Harginger shot they look very healthy and so does their armor. And yet Shepard looks.. Well in bad shape.... That makes so much sense how can we not see that? You know something they are right we don't get it.
We don't get how your Squadmates who went with you can be fine and healthy and not look like Shepard did
We don't get why Joker would abandon Shep when he or she needed him most
We don't get red blue or green
We don't get any of it
So why even bother explaining, it's not going to help.

Will anyone here be at PAX to at least ask them the questions they'll have a "no comment" response to?
Don't know anyone who goes to PAX, who is going to go will have a huge hard moment to try to talk to them (They're not willing to talk about ME3)

So, after learning about this 'extended' version of the ending this morning, I felt quite sick and my stomach hurt like crazy; I decided I needed to get away for a while to gather myself again (it didn't work that well, actually).

Yeah, I've had a headache since I heard about it this morning. It still hurts. I'm taking the wait and see approach, though I'm not really that optimistic at this point.
The Bioware/Mass Effect panel starts at 4:30pm EST

I hope these aches pass soon for us both! (and everyone else who's got them) Thanks, I'll be waiting, not too optimistic about it though...

The AWESOME thing about AC3 is that I can't imagine the ending and even if they did so ething crazy - they've set the game up that way!
Agreed!, AC isn't about OUR choices it is already set up for you. Maybe I should stick with games like that from now on, save myself all this heart ache? lol

A better ending and one more viable would of been a transmission code that shuts down all the Reapers the Crucible sends it out to the Mass Relays and it systematicly shuts down all the Reaper AI's. Keeps the Mass Relays in use and the Citadel. No need for huge coloured explosions, and would of made more sense to the storyline.

Yeah the sun was out today here as well, I don't normally like the sunshine but it made me feel better today which is good. I'm not really looking forward to anything BW have to say about this, but I still have a tiny slither of hope that will make me not write them off completely. I vented a little on my tumblr before I went to bed and it actually helped lol.

I agree with your points but just don't forget that Bioware are also stuck between the fans that do like the ending and those of us that don't. I know our argument is that they don't need to get the dlc but they might feel that anything more than this would be invalidating their ending. Not saying I agree with that argument but I can understand it.ld1449 wrote...
Ok. I've taken some time to mull over this Extended cut in my head for a while and so now that I've more or less gotten my thoughts analyzed and in order I think I can speak.
Firstly, should we be angry about this?:
Yes, we should, but only to a degree. Bioware and EA are caught between a rock and a hard place right now. The rock, being us, the hard place being their shareholders.
Ld1449 still here and still holding

See this is actually what I thought was going to happen....it seemed as if they were heading in that route but then...well you know.

I really don't think they're taking those guys into account. Using them and their reason for not wanting new endings? Sure (Thing is the DLC is freaking free so that shoots out their own reasons stated that they didn't want the fans who liked the ending to feel pressured into purchasing it.) Actually taking those people into account? Hardly.
If I have a choice between pleasing 9 out of 10 fans and leaving 1 dissatisfied, the answer is clear no matter what way you cut it. They're mainly concerned for their botom line, their shareholders.

ME3 has sold some million of copy, they won't make a "dlc endings" for a minority (50K people), won't they?

Give Bioware a chance to present the Epilogue at least. Here's a prototype as to what you might expect. Just pretend there are cinematics (Bioware said additional cinematics would be coming).
Although its Fan Made, its VERY well done and detailed. It keeps the Star Child canon, but it does provide a LOT of closure.

Give the creator some Feedback if ya can. Some great work went into this.
I almost cried reading through my generated ending. THAT is how my game should have ended. Tragic and brutal, but enough happiness to know all that sacrifice was completely worth it. The note from Fenron to Liara (which only makes sense if you played LoTSB, which I did) was a nice touch.
I happened to be listening to Within Temptation at the time I was reading through this, and it was kind of fitting given my femshep romanced Liara.
Lost, by Within Temptation
Thank you!
Glad it helped!
One ending I saw in the thread involved Tali visiting your memorial every year and boy was it heart-breaking. There were Man-Tears in the thread XD. But it was a well written sadness. It felt like you actually achieved something good.
I actually survived in my ending and went to Rannoch with Tali <3<3<3
Like I said, give her your feeback if ya liked it too. She needs to know its appreciated

Boom!! so much better...
another idea.. the crucible was always a reaper trap, and then you have huge conventional battle with the reapers.
One that can even end well if you fight hard enough... all of hammer fighting against harbinger on the ground etc...

What I don't get (out of many things admittedly) why would Mike Gamble make the comment of "If only you guys knew what we were planning you'd save your ME3 saves forever" if this was it and if people were this upset by the ending? What could they possibly have planned that makes us forget that ending?
Well acording to him via Twitter, this was "one" of the things he was alluding too....but that doesn't make much sense since he said the whole "if you guys only knew blah blah" before this whole ending debacle became so huge.
