.....

Who wants to take a bet right now, that this is gonna end up on either:

A) Southpark

B) Family Guy.

I'll bet any money right now that its gonna end up in one of those

Probably, I hope it's South Park. I cannot stand Family Guy lol.

Hezz yeah I think if the technology isn't there to give me a non-linear experience, maybe that's the way to go so we don't have these promises devs couldn't keep if they tried. Nt that I think they actually tried. It's pretty clear to me that they didn't try. But anyway, yeah. I'm starting to move on with my heart catching up to my head, albeit slowly.

Today wasn't a surprise for me though. It's exactly what. Expected based on their last PR statements. I just hoped for better. But I knew this was their answer. I was only surprised that it was free. I'll just watch my husband okay it so I don have to feel sucker punched again.

Bioware's PR statements about them being practically art gods are working in my favor when it comes to convincing my husband to forget bioware as well. And he wasn't even that annoyed by the ending. :-P

What I don't get (out of many things admittedly) why would Mike Gamble make the comment of "If only you guys knew what we were planning you'd save your ME3 saves forever" if this was it and if people were this upset by the ending? What could they possibly have planned that makes us forget that ending?

Well acording to him via Twitter, this was "one" of the things he was alluding too....but that doesn't make much sense since he said the whole "if you guys only knew blah blah" before this whole ending debacle became so huge.

Time machine anyone? Hopefully they tell us more about the other stuff and we'll get a better picture and the "blah blah" will make more sense!

Been thinking about the endings. Yes they still are still rubbish.
A better ending and one more viable would of been a transmission code that shuts down all the Reapers the Crucible sends it out to the Mass Relays and it systematicly shuts down all the Reaper AI's. Keeps the Mass Relays in use and the Citadel. No need for huge coloured explosions, and would of made more sense to the storyline.

The problem is they were trying to avoid the Reaper "off button" but apparantly the button was the size of a barn and hard to miss.

Yeah folks, I'm still here with you.

Hold the line!

And it was said before the game was released.  But trying to think what Bioware are thinking is making my head hurt.  As to ur previous post I am also really looking forward to GW2 not because it's free but because GW and the expanions were good.

They could have taken their time and made a paid dlc alternative ending as I remember some of my friends were happy how Fallout ended and didn't want Broken Steel so they didn't buy it but they still support Bethesda.  It just feels like this is the quickest cheapest and fingers crossed less damage alternative.

ME3 has sold some million of copy, they won't make a "dlc endings" for a minority (50K people), won't they? :P

From what estimates I've seen, you are way off on 50k.  You need to check your math, son.

And so, how many people the movement have?

Boom!! so much better...
another idea.. the crucible was always a reaper trap, and then you have huge conventional battle with the reapers.
One that can even end well if you fight hard enough... all of hammer fighting against harbinger on the ground etc...

I like both really. Personally a reaper trap would be pretty awesome and would be a nice twist. I mean everyone knew the Crucible may as be called the Cruciguffin. Everyone expected it to be the key to winning the war. To have it actually be useless would go against expectations. And yes it would actually make having those war assets mean something. I have no idea how having a large or small fleet determines whether Shep is explosion proof or not. Or determines whether space magic obliterates Earth. Would be nice if their function actually impacted the endings in a way that made sense.

Goikiu: it's not 50k. It's more like 150k that are vocal and much more that aren't vocal but just walked away from ME. I have ~20 friends on xbox that played ME. I'm the only one that actually cared so much I jumped on these boards (for the first time ever) and the Retake movement and so forth. But of those 20 friends, roughly half hate the ending and can't replay any ME game. But they are just shrugging their shoulders and walking away (some from Bioware, some just from anything ME-related.). Of the other half, ONE liked the ending. The others said "meh" and moved on to their next game.

[EDIT] The part where he talks about his ending crucibletrap idea starts at about 10 minutes [/EDIT]
That video has a really brilliant crucibletrap idea, as awell as at the beginning some explanations about what might have been the original Mass Effect ideas...
Not my video, linking it because it is awesome.

Really? Not sexy huh? Gosh I think Altair is really sexy - just too scary to actually be around. :-P of course, I've read the book detailing his life so that might change my view somewhat.

I didn't have any estimation so far.
Only EA, who is selling ME3 can tell really, however, i doubt they will make a free dlc for a "vocal minority", they're like a dog who is biting is own tail.

The same goes for me, i've got a lot of friends who loved ME series, after the third... no one liked the ending, i'm posting here and all the other have re-selled the game or the ME series itself

I can only think of a few or more reasons:

Either Mr. Gamble put his foot in his mouth without thinking. Or maybe he did think that MP DLC would be just the thing to exite us. Which ties in with the next scenario

They assumed the DLC they did plan and that we have heard about so far was going to make us go crazy and be happy. Can't  you imagine all those playable MP characters with their cute little gun packs in their cute little armor doing cute little objectives. What's not to love?

There is also the possibility that it is in fact not over yet despite things looking like it is over. I still find it hard to believe they are willing to risk losing so many potential customers who not only have had their support, money, and overall love would say "you don't matter to us anymore". And if that is the case that's just all kinds of F'ed up.

I really want to think that Bioware is still the same company that listens and learns and does what it does best. And shows its customers/ fans that they matter and that they will continue to matter, but things look as if they are changing and if this is how it ends then it was been a heck of a ride.

Sadly it is also where I get off.
