I admit I never heard of Jeremy Jahns before but, damn, he says exactly what I'm thinking. While nice that it's free, it doesn't really solve the problem.
When you order a pizza but get a pizza with a turd, you ask why there is a turd on the pizza. The reply is "Artistic vision". The dlc explaining the ending is the guy explaining how and why the turd is on the pizza. You still have a pizza with a turd, but hey, at least now you know why there is one. Has to make you feel better, right?
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Oh I totally agree that they're overpriced, especially now that they've been bought out by Dell. I always build my own gaming desktops but I don't like messing around with laptops, too finicky. In the process of building a beast of a server at the moment... ok I'm going to stop now my geek is coming out waaaaay too muchAtrocity wrote...
Alienware is good, a bit overpriced IMHO though. But of course the best deal is if you can get some friend who understands computers to put it together for you. It's actually not that hard, provided one has a clue what they're doing and the right case. I'm personally in love with Antec Three Hundred, it has awesome cooling, keeps virtually all dust out (as a owner of a terrier I should know) and is really good if one wsihes to customize, add drives and such.Phoenix NL wrote...
That's a dangerous question to ask, it's such a personal choice thing. But if you want a really good benchmark, check out Alienware. I've had Alienware laptops for years and I love them for gaming. You can take their specs and check out other companies and what they offer. Always happy to give you more specific info if you need it.toffeetrooper wrote...
thinking i need to get rid of my 360 so limited the only games worth playing are biowares.
can someone give me an idea on what spec i'd need for a gaming pc

EA. Remember how DA2 was un-Bioware like ? It all makes sense now...Lestatman wrote...
One of the things that most struck me the most yesterday was the fact the news first came out from EA and not Bioware first. So who's in charge now with making the decisions?
And this is my worry that EA have stepped in and have said this is it Free DLC take it or leave it but this is the end of the matter.

Yeah, that. I'm 20-years old and have been playing consoles since 1998 or 1999, don't remember when I started. I really can't play on anything other than my 360.

I don't like them, if your desktop doesn't work, you can always take it apart and replace the broken bit, but if your laptops suffers a malfunction with hardware, eh, tough cookies, hope your warrancy is still valid.
Ok, MacBooks have their place in the universe as work laptops, they are really good for that and tend to last longer even if they take a hit or two along the way. If not for the price, I would've got one for lectures and photoshop and such.

Now MacBooks are truly evil!! I've had a Toshiba notebook for ages now for portable computing and it is indestructible, never had an issue with it. My parents have macs and there's always an issue with something. Hate those things. Though it does amuse me to name their machines after McDonald's meals, doesn't amuse my dad quite so much.Atrocity wrote...

You are lucky. Then again, it tends to show in the price if the laptop has any customisability. Last time I did price comparison, it seemed like any worthwhile laptop costed as much as a desktop with better specs. Of course desktop is not for everyone, I don't have to move around that much, so I don't need a laptop. Different thing if I did and still wanted to play games

None of my friends with MacBooks (would you like baby carrots instead of fries, dear?) have any problems, ever. Where as my parents and friends with laptops ranging from decent (HP Pavillion) to horrid (Asus) seem to need my nonexisting knowledge with computers every week. <_<Phoenix NL wrote...

Then again, mac-people don't do much with theirs, just movies, photoshop and documents, and my parent's Asus had hardware problems to begin with, so not a good group to base conclusions on.
