You guys are unbelievable, you get exactly what you want and you are still complaining, did you guys really think that they would completley change the ending?
we have not gotten what we want, there just giving us cinimatics.
we asked for the missing endings to be put back in, we were told BY THE CO-FOUNDERS in interviews that there would be 16 diffrent endings, instead we got 1 ending in 3 diffrent colours
the diffrent between cinimatics and actual dlc is that cinimatics does not have any gameplay nor any choices, this is why its free
DLC
is gameplay where we can make our own choices we can tell the starbrat to pissoff, there are so many valid arguments that support us and they far outweigh the bull**** "artist integrity".
they put this stuff out to say "yes we caved in" when in fact they havent, there passing out cinimatic content which was cut from the game hence "the extended cut" of the game
extended means cut content readded, they need to readd in all the missing missions and we all know shepard lives as we found out by the files in the pc version.
dont beleve me then look at the screenshots in this thread, there named the following
End03_Shepard_Alive_Fem.bik
End03_Shepard_Alive_Male.bik
thats the 5 seconds scene and it is in london so yeah shepard is alive and bioware knows that we know and there ignoring us and fobbing us off with this garbage cinimatic DLC crap
Whoa, hold your horses.
The FAQ said the DLC would be cinematics and epilogue content. Why make the destinction if they were just adding explanatory cinematics in the first place?
I think it is still possible that we might get something like an in-game cutscene etc. etc.
Or even some additional dialogue with the crew in case we survived.
Just because the actors haven't been called in for additional dialogue doesn't mean they won't be.
Right now, it's a case of hurry up and wait. Bioware announced something and they're annoyingly vague about what exactly that will be.
I agree a 100% that not adding more ending-variants is a bad thing and that Artistic Integrity should not be used to argue for a case like this. (As a sidenote, I also believe Videogames can be a form of art, no question, but the facts are a little different here.)
What angered me the most is this move away from the ME core-themes, choice, free will and stopping the reapers.
Now, do we still have the right to complain? Well, we shouldn't go and judge Bioware's announcement before we actually have the extended cut. That's getting ahead of yourself.
But we definitely have the ability and the right to warn Bioware of what does and doesn't work. And in my opinion, that's a sort of angry constructive criticism.
So, don't rush ahead and bash the DLC before it is out, but hold the line and remind them why the ending right now is simply bad, even from an artistic point of view and show them what needs to be fixed.
What they do with that information in the end, is up to BW. And they will live with the consequences.
I for one am gonna holdy my ground (metaphorically speaking) until we know what this extended cut is.
After all, it is free! That's rather decent.
