Over it? No I don't think anyone is over it. I think they're all just gathering steam to role over Bioware.
Pity I can't head to PAX, it's across a grand-bloody ocean.

My biggest gripe is that no matter what they do, it won't change Shepard's personality reversal and lame acceptance of the Star Child's horrible logic, especially after just disproving that theory if peace was made with the Geth and EDI's romance with Joker. After that, Shepard wouldn't allow them to be destroyed and he sure as heck wouldn't force all the individuality that each race has to mean nothing by turning them all in cyborgs. And Controlling the Reapers just turns him into the Illusive Man.

That's the true problem with the ending. There's three choices given and even the "good" one goes against everything that Mass Effect stood for in the previous games-- overcoming odds and bringing people together to save the galaxy, and most importantly, showing that synthetics and organics can remain unique and still live together peacefully. The endings basically make everything you did in the first two games mean nothing.

And sadly, I doubt any amount of extra cutscenes or epilogues will change that, unless they're adding a couple of new endings where you can convince Star Child he's wrong.

All of the above

This
http://blog.bioware....3-extended-cut/  doesn't leave any room for "well maybe it will be good" though. This pretty much says that they are explaining the ending to us "morons" and that is that. Cinematics is not enough to fix this ending, we need whole new endings that take our choices into account and don't screw the entire galaxy over.

I respectfully disagree, even without alcohol, I feel the wording of the FAQ is ambiguous enough to make a good/satisfactory DLC possible. Probable? I don't know, but possible, so I'll wait and give Bioware one more chance to get it right.

Exactly, for example one person tweeted Jessica Merizan saying that all we were getting were cinematics and no gameplay. Her response was "I don't know where you got that from"

Also, just checking her account now, someone asked "Were you being serious and honest with me earlier? About Shepard reuniting with Normandy and crew?"
To which she responds "I think the dlc is promising and you should try to be patient and see"

*cough* okay sorry that may have been harsh, I am just so sick of people going "Oh it's free that's so nice of them, even though they have obviously completely ignored all fan feedback"

Right I am going to sign off for a while and take a break I am obviously too angry or upset to understand....

I didnt mean over it as in everything is fine, just the first impact it had on all of us, we all got a few hours to think about it, let it settle in :), but yeah ill agree nobody is truly over it.

I have a question.

What does the ending of the ipad game imply?
I vaguely remember that Shepard emails LI or something?
someone Said it?

No it seems to be a glitch. I finished the game again to see it and the message only arrives when you start a new game so it's not related to the end of the game.

3/4 months to do some cinematic? With the game engine?

So I think that Bioware buy MP DLC in the meantime?

Bye bye Bioware.

I could be wrong, but subject zero also means the first specimen to have a quality X. For example, the first zombie to start the apocalypse by spreading the virus is the subject zero.

I would go along with their artistic integrity argument if the game had been released with the From Ashes mission instead of making it a paid DLC. If you start trying to milk your base from day one, you pretty much lose that argument as you are not trying to give us a work of art, but rather a consumer good.

Jacqueline Nought is a self-given name, back when Jack submitted some poertry to some site or another - check the Shadow Broker files. From a conversation with Liara, you can learn that Jack's birth name is Jennifer, last name unknown.

I was going to send a long mail to BioWare right now (after cooling my head from yesterday's announcement), giving them a bit of background about myself and why I never whine about relatively minor things (heck, I didn't say a word about DA2 back in the day), and politely explaining why I think that their decision is wrong and that they didn't understand what we where telling them about the ending. But, when I was about to send it, I remembered how did they listen to past posts and mails (including their own "we're listening" thread!) and I deleted it.

To be honest, I don't care anymore, and I don't see it changing anything at this point. They have already made their minds, and the only way to reach them right now is through our wallets. Maybe it will work or maybe not, but that's how I feel right now and I'm not going to lose more time hitting a wall.

My respect and apologies to those guys and gals at BioWare that worked on that 99% of the game that is awesome, but I don't agree with the way that their company hypes customers with false promises, and it's lack of respect and humility towards it's community when they found their lies and politely asked for a change (instead of mass returning the game, as some did, and as we would do with any other product). I'm sorry but no, "artitstic integrity" doesn't work as an excuse, more so when their own "artistic view" on those last 10 minutes of the game violate the whole "artistic integrity" of the whole 3 games.

I'll try that free DLC in the summer to see if they can do some sort of miracle and make the current ending less... distasteful (which I doubt) but, until then, I won't buy any DLC, games, or subscriptions to any MMO with the EA or BioWare logos.

As for the Retake guys and gals, it has been great. You made the wait a lot better, and we did some great and really good things in those four weeks. I'm proud of you all, and I'll stay here even if it's just reading.

Honestly, I think people are only getting madder the more time passes. Specially since most people are actually starting to think about what Bioware meant. In other words; Finally reading between the lines. Better late then never.

I, though, I'm swinging between the lines of severely pissed off and rationally upset.

I'm currently engaged with Hemingway myself. I should also read for my 'British and Irish Literature II' exam, as well as for my German exam. But I chose Hemingway, because he's atm the most enjoyable option, with being a Krogan and all. Yes, I still laugh whenever I play with him, especially when he melee kills and goes MWUAHAHAHAHAHAA. Because that's pretty much what Hemingway did to couple of my literature courses :P

He came, striked rest of the writers down, mwuahahahed, and now he's the only option I'm left with

Was at work last night thinking about all of this and thought this was a clever win win for bioware. They please some of us with the "extended ending" so the potential for future lost revenue is reduced they also make it free so the rest of us left will be looked at even more like "whiney entitled babies" which seeing some of the trolling already going on is already happening.
