I'd like some pretty solid information first though. Then I could at least enjoy replaying while I wait for it.Mr Chr15topher wrote...
If they asked us to wait a whole year for either extra endings or an indoc ending etc I would be willing to wait. As long as ME gets the ending it deserves I would be willing to do anything.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Yeah same goes for me, if they just said they are doing Alternate Endings. I would wait for them.

[Agreed, I don't like the ending. The big contradiction it is.
But I will continue playing the game (just not the ending), will continue playing and buying other games of theirs, but I'm afraid I'll enjoy the games a whole lot less...
Anyone got an idea on how I can get rid of the vile after-taste ME3's ending left me with?
i wont be playing mass effect at all in its current state, as i said i play for entertainmet not for depression.
uptill now i have bought all bioware games and the dlc's for them, even though companys under ea have a habbit of .....well dying frankly. they have allready lost my unquestenable puchases it remains to be seen if they lose me fully as a customer.the ability is there but have they the will to use it anymore?

I was like you at first, then I started visiting the forums briefly just once each day or two to see if there was any news. It helped a lot to get ME and BioWare out of my mind and get into the other games. Couple that with some good story-driven game or something that makes you keep your mind really busy (that's why I chose the two games that I mentioned).Mr Chr15topher wrote...
I've been going from game to game for almost a month now and I'm still left with an empty feeling. I have just lost my drive for all gaming. Looking forward to the Witcher 2 though and hoping it can help me forget.
But everyone is different. I don't know if you've already tried it or if it would even work for you. In theory it should tho, as being here doesn't help you forget at all.

1)- do you think bioware listened to us at all?
2)- do you think this cinimatic DLC is crap?
3)- do you think bioware is actually working on the real ending with more missions?
my answers are as follows:
1)- not a chance they ignored us
2)- 95% yes, 5% no just like the diffrence with the endings
3)- i do beleve they are working on new content they dident expect to make which will give us what we all wanted from the start

I'm going to be pessimistic here, but I don't believe it's coming. This is what we're getting. And it's going to suuuuuuuuuuucccckkkkkkk.

1: Nope, it certainly doesn't seem like they did. *grumpy grumble*
2: Yes, I do think it's crap for many reasons I have already said.
3: Nope, I don't think they are. I wish they were but I honestly don't think so.

1. No, we have been completely ignored.
2. Yes, it won't be able to fill the plot holes and we still have to screw over the galaxy.
3. No, or they would have told us just to calm us down.

I think they did listen, but they cherry-picked what they were going to respond to.

1: They selectivley listened to us and chose one of the more minor grievences and ran with it.
2: I'm reserving judgement on the DLC until I see it for myself.
3: Very unlikely as that would violate artistic integrity.

There they go again...trying to make everyone think that the ending was written by the same team which wrote the whole rest of the series, instead of just an asspull from mac and casey. I feel sorry for all the other writers who were shut out of providing input yet are being included in phrases like the "team's vision.". Sad.

i know thats most likely sarcasm but to quote Sam from LoTR the two towersFallenfromthesky wrote...
But haven't you heard happy endings aren't edgy enough
"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really
mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you
didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How
could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened?
But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness
must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine
out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant
something, even if you were too small to understand why."
Bioware should have listened to Sam

Taking feedback would compromise their "artistic integrity". It's "their" vision after all.

You want my honest opinion here?
1)- I do believe Bioware has listened to us. We may not want to admit that we do not like the way they propose us the change, but we have to admit, at a certain point right now, that it is still better then nothing, isn't it? Bioware could as well have said: "We do not change the current endings.". They did not. You may like the way they concluded this debacle, or you may not. But I always expected the worst until some extend, and I was just a bit surprised by their move.
2)- I think there could be way more then a cinematic DLC, on the other hand we do not know about its content. If there are cinematics at the end which explain the fate of the Krogans, the Geth, the Quarrians, the Turians, the Asari, my squadmates...why the hell not? There is also one end where Shepard survives, space magic or not, and there is enough Reaper tech floating in orbit from the rubble to get a new drive for interstelar travel. So, maybe we will see LI and Shepard reunite in the perfect Destroy ending. As long as they are good, and give me closure to my journey, both in a happy ending and a bad ending, then I am perfectly fine.
3)- No. They wouldn't now bring out new cutscenes and then work at more endings in secrecy, or the real ones. Why then wait now? They could as likely announce the real ones, to be released in summer and put their effort into them. No need to explain the current ones. I don't believe there is more then we get now. But I will give them time to prepare the Extended Cut.
