I remember thinking, the first time I heard of DLC for any game (can't remember which game it was now!) that it was something that would be open to abuse. But I don't think, even then, I imagined that a company might hack off the end of a game and sell it separately.

The PT Barnum quote does quite well for this situation I think. "One born every minute!"

Well, not this sucker. Not anymore!

currently, they'r not trying to sell it

I know. I was speaking in general terms of companies putting profit before a complete game. Asura's Wrath, for instance, springs to mind. I had hoped for better things from BW. I just hope it's not the start of an industry-wide rot.

Well looking at all the tweets that have been flying around from Jessica Merizan and Mike Gamble it sounds like they're going to put some real effort into this extended cut, including bringing in voice actors and potentially having some more gameplay content (this bit isn't confirmed, I am inferring from Jessica's reply to a fan asking about it).

I would be super excited for the DA3...if they hadn't screwed up DA2 and ME3:?

That was probably her deflecting the question. She didn't give an answer the fan wanted because she didn't have the one they wanted. They've already been doing this for the last month. They'll continue to do it until the DLC actually comes out.

Yep, many reasons to be cautiously hopefull, many reasons to be depressed. Everyone can pick their poison, luckiest get two for the price of one!

And once again, due to Origin related problems, I'm posting for one new member, who can't yet write here himself. He asked me to post the link to the pr thread, so here it is:

Most probably already posted..

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?

No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

That's part of the problem here.  Chris Hudson is in charge of this project, he's not even at the PAX event and BRIEFED some of the panel members.  They only know what they've been told here so don't think they're just evading.. in a lot of cases they probably know as much, or even LESS than what our liners know....

Considering WE knew about the Extended Cut yesterday morning before their twitter feed did I guarantee they're not being told everything.

that comment came from richard hilleman the guy behind madden, he's basicly saying that the american justice system declared all games an art, he basicly said some smart assed remarks about entitled fans all that said within 8 seconds.

so it seems EA thinks there games are art when in fact there just chit

Yes... It keeps them from being sued by every Tom. Dick and Harry which is likely a good thing. Producers would be afraid to produce anything. Catch my drift?

That's true. They have every right to do what they want. But we also have the right to not buy any of their products if we don't like them. So EA can release games we don't like... but if they want to sell them, it's a good idea to listen to us. They don't have to, but you'd think they'd want to. That's why the "artistic integrity" argument has never made sense to me.
