Wait. Did you import a Shepard from ME1 (skip ME2)? Or...?
Mine didn't even say it didn't recognize the face; it gave me a completely different face...I was so annoyed. I had to go back to ME2, take pics, and try to recreate it. It wasn't hard, and I actually like how it turned out.

It's almost like they want to appease bioware's ego.  Plus that new Multiplayer Pack just reeks of what ME3 was intended for!  I didn't buy ME3 for the goddamn MP; I brought it to finish MY STORY!  Sure its fun..for a while...then it gets repeative real fast.  Good thing I uninstalled today.

Yeah there is to little information on the "extended cut" so far that I can't make a definitive judgement, but I am extremely skeptical of it making any appreciable difference at this point.

I'm with you, but from the opposite end of the spectrum.  So much rage over the announcement but nobody knows anything about the content of the Etended cut.  I'm willing to wait and see but some people are judging it based on inference from the FAQ.

You never know, they might be able to make sense out of it.

I'd say I've entered a state of Armed Neutrality (probably not best using a pre-WW1 analogy)

I'm not sure if it was just glitched or completely different, unrecognisable anyway. Had to start from scratch, though it turned out quite ok. I tweeked it a little for my second playthrough which I never finished. Wonder why...

At least on Internet Explorer I scroll down the page and in the Video Library there should be a Live Show [Livestream] on the top row at the right.  Click that and it should display a "Bioware Pulse will be live momentarily" screen

Edit: Well that sucks.. I refreshed and it disappeared for me too

Its showing launch footage in the center, but if you scroll down a bit, there is a small picture with the live stream in it, click it, they are soundtesting atm. well no sound at the moment.

So was mine. Imported from ME1 to ME2 and then to ME3. Still got no face. <_<

Maybe your code was the same as the new one...? Like, the charcter you created used characteristics that did not change from 2 to 3
