I really can accept, that I'd loose many many lives and that the relays get shut down/destroyed.
But I simply CAN'T accept, that Shepard gets sepperated from his crew!
I wouldn't even mind if he would get to crash with them, as long as he/she's with the ppl that stood beside him trough all this stuff!

See now I'm exactly the opposite... I wouldn't mind Shep dying alone or something.. I mean that's a classic tragic hero's end.. I can accept that.

But the whole destroy galactic civilization, doom entire colonies, and take away the actual interplanetary community that makes up the ME universe?
Me no likey..

@raging about ending

So why don't we look at this way.

The ending sucks, so what? Didn't you enjoy playing the games, getting into the story and getting to know new characters and talk to them?

What would have been if it would be vice versa, like from ME1 to the half end of ME3 it's crap but the ending is really good.
Does this change that the game is crap? If no than why would it change Mass Effect to being crap with just a crap ending?

Its because they wanted a good resolution to their story, they are getting invested into it for a terrible ending with no rewarding value.  This kills the appeal for some players.

And the plot holes and lack of explanations are just inexcusable.

And you think that you (you in general) know that by seeing the endings without knowing the context?

They already know all the context.

I have no doubt I will enjoy the journey. The problem is the ending will probably make the difference between me replaying the franchise for years to come, and me stashing the game away in a dark cupboard somewhere never to touch it again, while I try and forget about it.

So yeah the ending will leave a lasting impression, an unhappy one.

This is actually the same reason that I never touched Obsidian's game KOTOR II ever again after completing it once. The ending left a bitter taste in my mouth mostly because of how poorly the characters story's were concluded and how rushed it felt. The journey was glorious but the ending made me no longer want to play it.

That makes no sense though. Isn't the Merge ending the hardest one to get.

Not sure what you need about it, but Shepard doesn't survive that either from what leakers say.

And I've already TIM in ME2, that I will not sacrifice the soul of our species. Posted Image
I'm not turning anyone synthetic.

I'd say Shep dying alone at the price of a really good ending (where at least the relays aren't destroyed) would be fine for me too.
(Aka ultimate sacrifice for the happyness of everyone)

I am okay with the destroy/merge etc. endings but I really don't understand the normandy getting stranded? If you're going to basically kill off the crew why not let them go in a blaze of glory or let Shepard die together with the LI or something.. Anything.

I respect their point of view, but for me a good end is a happy end, so I know that I will dislike this one. :(

I'm not talking of disney style (singing rabbits, lovely rainbows you know), but I've hoped for an end in the manner of Return of the Jedi or Star Trek VI.

Scheduled maintenance for BSN? Yes, time to clean up the negative ME3 ending leak posts before the game launches. lol Bioware... You are amusing in your predictable way. BTW check this link:

http:/daeity.blogspot.com/

It seems they ripped the video game Anachronox made 10 years ago to create ME universe. And I believed Mass Effect was an original universe. I loved Bioware for being so original and away from the mainstream Hollywood cliche. I was naive. The writer says that since they did not make sequels to that game Bioware did not have more games to get "inspired" and hence the bad endings in ME3.

Destroy the universe for a new MMO campaign setting. Kill the old heroes or make them inaccessible so they can have new heroes and hire cheaper, less famous VAs for the new MMO. Screw the fans, they can still sell the new game to young generation and profit. Old fans are getting too old for video games anyway. Well that sums it.

Sory but ego reaking employee twitter posts about play the game first won't cut it.

No comment means those are the endings... Some people will like it, most people won't like it, but many more shooter fans which are the target audience won't care about it. So why they should care?

Well when you think about it singing rabbits appearing to save the day makes just as much sense as super magic mega energy that turns all sentient beings into mutant abominations

And have the heroes' descendants or something for the MMO too.

SWTOR-2, Mass Effect style.

Now we just need the "Shepard survives" ending to be canon and learn of his fate in the MMO, maybe even meeting him in a Revan way.

Far-fetched? I cerfainly don't think so, the way companies work today.

So you can get both the new players in the ME universe and try to carrot-dangle the old like with Revan and HK-47 and Bastila's descendant in SWTOR.

Agreed but ME1 story was not an original story as well as the background info. Not by a long shot. And look what happens when "old" mindset guys leave and when Bioware is left alone with the new bold generation.
