"Number of variables - increased. "Insanely." 3500 different plot values, in ME1. (Some minor.) ME2 - 6400. ME3 15,000 (fifteen thousand) different plot states."

So, what? In for a penny, in for a pound. BW! You made it that complicated and you have to think about it BEFORE writing a script, not after releasing.

God... i am truly sorry, i understand BioWare took alot of effort into this game, and i respect that, but they just sound like whiny brats about how difficult it is... So what? is that an excuse for ANYTHING?
Awww its just too hard guys... so we made a **** ending... because that was just easier...

Exactly. "We're awesome, but we're not supermen".... We weren't asking for 15,000 different endings, we don't expect random sidequests from Mass Effect 1 to factor into the ending.

We want them to take the major decisions, and set them into workable endings. They're basically telling us they couldn't even manage that.

They are doing pretty much what I expected. Tossing out stuff that sounds impressive if you don't have a clue and are just a press junkie reporting what is said.

Those of us who know however, they are looking like Muppets with the EA uppers hands up their arses telling em what to say and what not to say.

Jim Henson would be appalled.

I was so excited to see that thing and, BAM!, nothing happens. Yet, it's our smallest problem right now

Anyone know anything about the fan book that was given to the dev team from someone in the audience? Did the Retakers do it, perhaps?

I'll try to explain the engineering side of all those variables soon as this is done, just following it at the moment. Keep calm though, the general tone of this is huge and I'm way way more pleased than I was.

I've had it with this Bioware circle jerk. They haven't said one thing of substance. I'm shutting it off. I'll check back in a bit to see if they actually mentioned something useful in the end.

Same, huge kudos for trying but I think with wonky internet and trying to do it on his phone it's just not working.

Yeah too many variables, its not like you couldn't have just;

1 personalized the cutscenes to relfect our assets
2 given ONLY certain side missions to certain styles of play and or based on past choices
3 Killed Shepard next to Anderson as Crucible fires and then have a very personalized epilogue that details what happened with all your choices (as seen in DO A).

That would have been literally impossible.

Yeah, true. That was just one of the first examples that came to mind. I really would have liked to see that, too.

Yeah, he's limited to his phone. I'm sticking with Kotaku pretty much.

ALRIGHT, WHO ACTUALLY KILLED MORDIN? At that point you aren't Rengade, you're straight up EVIL! :crying:

I'm watching HTL and the Kotaku chat, I get the feeling the HTL one is feeling a bit frustrated and not very talkative, though they are there about the ending which the panel is trying desperately to avoid.
